All right, we are alive. Alex, enter. How you doing? I'm doing very well and very delighted to be doing a life. I should just tell people that obviously I've been on my travels quite a lot as people know in July and August. And in next week, I will be in the United States again in Chicago to attend the Integrity Media Awards. So we've both been traveling quite a lot, but it's great to be able to do a live stream just before I go. Yeah, traveling makes it a bit hard to get the life. It makes it more complicated to get live streams going. It's been a while since we've live streamed actually. Absolutely. So let's just jump right into it, Alex. Yeah, I think it's no one is going to idea you. There's lots going on. I think our community is pretty much up to speed with what we've been staying in what's happening. Well, we've got a third war now.
What's the future? Alex Anderson. Yeah. That's becoming a big story. All three wars are connected. That is an essential thing to understand. And they all have their same point of origin. But we can discuss that over the course of the program. All right, well, let's start with the Hoothies then. We talk about the Hoothies around and Ukraine. And then we'll take some questions. So what do you make of what's happening in Yemen? The United States Trump, he had a phone call, two phone calls, with MBS. MBS actually called him up twice. And the second time that MBS called up Trump, he wanted the United States to start bombing the Hoothies. Yeah. And Trump is resisting, at least for now, but he is sending military advisors, or actually he has sent anywhere between 100 to 200 military advisors.
He's providing satellite intel so that the Saudi Air Force can target the Hoothies. It sounds very, very familiar on the escalation that is happening so that the United States is going to eventually enter this conflict with the Hoothies. Absolutely. Now, just to say again, my first point that all of these waters were interconnected with each other, this war is a product of the war between the United States and Iran. If you go back to 2023, Iran and Saudi Arabia achieved a rapprochement with each other, a detent with each other, that was broken by the Chinese. And the thing I'd to understand about this is that the Saudis and the Hoothies have a very long-term, very long-standing rivalry. They've been fighting each other before.
And in fact, the history, the difficult history between the people of Yemen and the people further north in the East, what's now Saudi Arabia, the Arabian Peninsula, has long historic routes, which I'm not going to discuss in this program. The point was that when Iran and Saudi Arabia did their deal, the Iranians had a strong incentive to tell the Hoothies who were their allies, please back off. Don't go after the Saudis in the way that you have been doing previously. Now, of course, we have a war between the United States and Iran. Saudi Arabia is ultimately drawn into it on the American side. It can't avoid being so. So the result is that the Iranians no longer have the same incentive to tell the Hoothies to back off.
So the Hoothies and the Saudis are now fighting each other again. The war, in other words, is spreading and it's spreading into the Red Sea. The Hoothies are both far the most powerful armed force within Yemen itself. The Saudi military, the army, has fought the Hoothies before, but not had much success in doing so. Yemen is very, very difficult country. It's very mountainous, and the people there are extremely tough. It's Afghanistan, plus, if I could put it like that. And whether Saudis were there before, it didn't work out very well for them. And MBS is clearly getting desperate, and I think he's in position now is in jeopardy. And I think that's another thing to just bear in mind. Saudi Arabia's own internal stability is now at risk, because the Saudis were using the Red Sea to export what oil they could.
But now, with the Hoothies closing off access through the southern Red Sea, that is becoming more difficult. The Hoothies are also attacking Saudi oil installations. If Saudi Arabia cannot export oil, well, the cost of keeping Saudi Arabia going is enormous. And well, if things start to come off, the will start to come off, we can't be sure how stable Saudi Arabia will remain. And beyond that, the princes might start to say to themselves, well, MBS has been the leader, the ruler, who brought us into this situation. And they might start to move against him. It's not as if all of them like him anyway. So he's telephoning Trump desperately, telling Trump, getting more, help me, save. He's not predicting this way, obviously.
But we are your ally. You always said you will protect us, protect us. The problem is, what does the United States do? Bomb the Hoothies? When it's tried that already, and it wasn't very successful. Saudi Arabia has also bombed the Hoothies. It wasn't very successful in doing that either. Obviously, the United States can provide an awful lot of satellite and intelligence information about the Hoothies. But it has done this before to the Saudis. And that didn't help very much. So it doesn't seem to me as if what the Saudis are asking, MBS is asking are things that are going to make a huge amount of difference. And I think that the Saudis have made this alliance with Pakistan and Turkey. But I doubt that Pakistan or Turkey I'll get to send ground troops to help Saudi Arabia
and to fight the Hoothies in Yemen. I don't think that would be popular in the United country. So sooner or later, in some form or other, the Saudis are going to ask for the US to become directly involved in the war, not just aircraft, but also ground troops, special forces, and all of those kinds of things. It is inevitable. And given that Saudi Arabia's stability is now in question, and we all know how important for the United States, Saudi Arabia ultimately is, the pressures on Trump from this time on are going to be enormous. Yeah, the US is going to have to have to enter this conflict. Yes. In one form or another, bombs, air strikes. That's pretty much all they're going to be able. That's all they're going to be able to do. They can't send hundreds of thousands of them. They're already tied up with their run. They're already tied up with their run. And there are special forces, but those are overextended anyway.
And of course, they've also got the issue of you, of you crane. And they're tied up with you crane. Yeah, I'm sorry. They're going to be all over the world. All three freaking wars. Absolutely. He's in three wars. Or he's about to begin. He's about to get three wars. Yes. Yeah, he's already set the advisors. He's already set the 200 consultants and advisors in Saudi Arabia. So he's pretty much in this. And then BS is in big trouble. Saudi Arabia is supposed to enter bricks, Alexander. Yeah. I mean, Saudi Arabia three, four years ago was on a completely different trajectory. And now it's just going down the tubes. I mean, NBS really, really screwed up. Yes. And then the one through the other princes are going to go after him. He's completely messed up. He's completely messed up. I mean, he had a pathway towards stability. He should have been absolutely clear that a war with Iran told the Americans under no circumstances attack Iran. In fact, what we've heard is that he did the opposite.
He actually told Trump, go ahead and do it. In fact, please do it. That was what apparently was happening in the run up to the attack on the 28th of February. And he didn't take Saudi Arabia into the bricks. And that could have provided security for the Saudis. We could have had peace in the Persian Gulf and unstable, but nonetheless, an uneasy peace with the Houthis. And NBS would now be in Delhi, meeting with Putin, sea, Modi, and the others. And how much better it would have been. Yeah. And they're going after the East West pipeline. And Saudi Arabia. Exactly. And the president has been set with Nord Streams so we know that pipelines, you know, you can go after pipelines, right? Absolutely. That's what Yemen is doing. That's what other countries are doing now. Exactly. And Saudi Arabia, yeah. Exactly. Once they hit those pipelines, and if they, when they could draw,
they all had to abstract Saudi Arabia in deep shit. In deep shit. Exactly. Absolutely. Just quite an exact. Exactly. Yeah, they're a big trouble now. The US is going to have to step in. It's going to get a lot of pressure. Exactly. Exactly. For the US to step in. Yeah. So that brings us to Iran. What's the situation in Iran? Well, again, the American strategy in Iran is to suffocate it economically, break it run. Trump says that the wall will end and there will be a crisis in Iran after the November elections. He's been told, however, and this is what the Wall Street Journal is telling us. He's been told privately that the war with Iran is going to continue throughout the remainder of his term. That means the straight up for mousse is going to remain closed. That means that the Iranians will back the hoothies. That means that the Red Sea and Saudi oil installations
will be threatened. It's difficult to see how that can end without the price of oil and energy across the United States and the West and the rest of the world increasing. So he remains trapped in that wall that he should never have got into. Again, I just can't help but remember how when he became president, there was talk about a deal being done with Iran. The Russians were prepared to help all of those things and he completely screwed up. He went to war instead and we see the result. Ukraine, what's going on in Ukraine? So Lensky is touring Canada now. He's really a touring Canada. That's what he said. He's going to make a tour of Canada. He's going to ask for money. He's getting money. He signed a hundred a year deal with Karni, but non-binding. It's a non-binding, hundred a year deal. But the Karni is still going to flush a couple hundred million down the Zelensky Golden Toilet.
Absolutely. And then he's off to the United States. So he's hoping for a meeting with Trump. Yeah. So also that tells us that the situation in Ukraine is very, very bad indeed because when Zelensky extends he's joined his army. First he goes to Moldova, then he goes to Norway, then he goes to Canada. He's taking his time to go to the US. He's staying away from Kiev as long as he possibly can. And that's always a sign that things are bad. But you're absolutely right. He's going to ask for money. And it's more important now for him to get money than for him to get missiles. We discussed this recently because the missiles, the air defense missiles, simply aren't there. So the Europeans are stuck because they're up to their limits in terms of their budgets. So surprise, surprise, the imperative to give Zelensky more money so they can flush it down the Golden Toilets
that is never goes away. So Ursula and her sidekicks in the European Commission and are allies in Sweden, Poland, and Spain are now, once again, looking at the alluring prospect of seizing the Russian money in Euroclar. And we were not able to talk about this in financial times. New vehicles being thought about being created. New guarantees being given to Belgium. All the usual thing that we heard this time last year. And I'm going to repeat again what I said last year. When people invent schemes to try to conceal the fact that what they're doing is illegal, all that does in law is highlight the fact that what they're doing is illegal. In any properly constituted court, that is obvious. Yeah. Oh, boy.
Yeah, the EU is going to really screw that one up when they get into the Russian frozen assets. Yeah, they're really going to screw things up there. But anyway, panic, panic is setting in. Absolutely. And I should point out that we already have capital flights from obviously the Persian Gulf. And money is pouring out of it. But it is not going to Europe or the United States. It's going to Hong Kong. And to the other Asian financial markets. We've seen bond yields in Europe and the United States growing, rising. What that tells us is that in a time of stress, people are not putting their money into the West. If anything, they're trying to take it out. And obviously what Ursula and her trainees are up to with the Russian frozen assets is going to accelerate that trend.
Yeah, people have lost their trust in the Western system. Alexander. Yeah. Because what the West is offering is sanctions and tariffs and seizing of assets. Why would people keep their money there? Exactly. And instead of stability, wars and the things that we've seen in Germany, which are just unbelievable. I mean, but we did we've done a program about this. But the events in Germany are becoming ever more extraordinary by the day, by the hour, not the day. Yeah. You also have Magyar in Hungary. Now requesting money from the European Union in order to compensate for the cutting off of Russian energy. You can't make this stuff up. No, you can't. I know. I mean, again, fundamental question, which Magyar, of course, and all these people never ask, or these then, what's the thing they do ask? I mean, we know exactly what this is all about. It gets to repeat again, however much money you give,
you cannot buy energy, which isn't there. That's obvious. I mean, where is the gas going to come from if it is not going to come from Russia? Where exactly? Where is the oil given that we are in the midst of a worldwide oil shortage? This exposes what Magyar and company are really all about. They won the election against Orban by highlighting corruption. Rule of thumb, I've always said this, when political leaders in Eastern Europe, or anywhere actually in the West now, talk about corruption. You need to be very careful about them, because it shows that they've got corruption on their mind, and that's probably what they're likely to do. This money that Magyar is asking for from the EU is not going to compensate Hungary for the loss of energy.
That is impossible. Because there is only one flow of energy for Hungary. The money is going to go down more golden toilets this time in Budapest. Yeah, what it is is Magyar panicking, because they expelled the 10 Russian diplomats, and his fear is that Russia's retaliation will involve cutting off of energy to Hungary. And if that happens, Hungary is screwed, so now he's going to Europe and he's saying, well, I need money. I need money, I need money, I need money for Hungary. But ultimately, as I said, I go to make sure that my people, we know who we means by my people, are safe and well, so that it all goes to go all falls apart. Well, we've got somewhere to go. You shouldn't have been told that. You shouldn't have been told the Russian diplomats. Well, I mean, what purpose, what did it serve?
Well, what exactly did you accomplish with that? Nothing. Well, what we're going to see is another destruction of another country. I mean, we went to Hungary in November 2024. I mean, it had its problems, but it gave every appearance of an economically stable and well managed. It's not going to look like that in a few years. Yeah, I agree. Hungary is going to completely destroy that country. Yeah. Anyway, all right. Let's get to some questions. Is there anything else that you want to discuss? Alexander, should we get to it? Let's go straight to the question. I wrote, good, thank you for that. Super sticker. Nikos says, Alex believes that Putin still wants to have contacts with Trump. But I agree with Lord Bibo. On this one, Putin didn't want to be there with Whitkopf. You can see it in his face. He was like, oh, M.G., I have to listen to these morons because Modi and Lula bully me to do so.
This is where we are. Well, I think there's some truth in that, actually. I mean, I think Putin was very angry, by the way, that Lula, well, the way the Modi spoke to him. He's, by the way, meeting Modi today. He's in India. And there's all big economic deals done. So I suppose Putin says to himself, well, this is the price I have to pay for getting all those deals and keeping all that diplomatic contact. I have to listen to Modi talking to me in that way. And I have to meet with Whitkopf and Kushner. Quite probably. Here, you're right, Nikos. He would prefer to be doing other things. But ultimately, he's job. I think he has to do these things because he calculates rightly that he's in Russia's interest. He doesn't want to see the whole of breaks begin to start to fall apart. He wants to have those deals done with India. He's going to make a further deal with China very soon, apparently.
So, you know, he probably thinks three hours with Whitkopf and Kushner. It's not such a big price. You know what? Better to meet with Whitkopf and Kushner than to meet with Rackliffe. So if you're going to meet with anyone from the US, you can tell Rackliffe to buzz off. And then you say, OK, at least I can meet with Whitkopf and Kushner. At least, you know, I can sit down with him for a couple of hours and discuss that. So he gave Rackliffe the route. He says, I'm not going to see you. And I'll probably put the other on voice from the US. I agree with him. Valerian interdrakes says, where's the money? LaBosky. Where is the money? The 27 billion. That looks at you. You are wondering, where is it gone? It's gone. It's gone. They have no idea. I mean, it's a mystery. It's a real puzzle. I mean, one can't understand how, you know, so much money can disappear. So you can. Yeah. Poor EU. Poor EU. They just don't know where the money went. Oh, boy.
Nico says, I want to answer a few of Alex's questions. You've asked how the Ukrainians keep sending drones, despite Russia hitting every industry they have. Two reasons. The Ukraine people assemble them in their homes with 3D printers. They have underground warehouses where every children assemble them. This is 100% proven facts. This notion that the Ukrainian people are afraid and does support the words BS. There isn't going to be any revolt. And people who allow child labor for welfare don't deserve your empathy or excuses. They are guilty and it's high time to stop excusing their decisions. I'm not sure I understand the child labor. Point. The drones are being manufactured in a apartment all across Ukraine and other being manufactured by families, by children, by Ukrainians. Ukrainians are manufacturing these drones in their flats.
The drones have mostly been manufactured in Europe with Chinese components. And then they're taken to Ukraine and they're basically reassembled there. And as to the amount of drones, the level of drone attacks, it's actually been gradually declining. We used to have drone attacks of 1,000 drones a night. I now think they've fallen to around 300 or 400 drones a night. So gradually, gradually this thing is reducing. Now, I'm not saying that there aren't some drones that are assembled in the kind of work, which makes you a way that you say. But I think those are mostly first-person view drones that are used on the battle lines. I mean, these drones that are launched against Russia are all big. They're about the size of airplanes. So you're not going to be able to do that in apartments. And as for whether the Ukrainian people support the war or not,
I think the answer is that some do, but more and more do have opinion polls show this. But I think the clearest sign of this is what you see in the recruitment. I mean, the way people are being dragged off the streets, the violent reaction of onlookers when that happens, the complaints that are constantly being made about this in the Ukrainian parliament. And again, the general thudishness. So I think that we are not looking at a population that is overall enthusiastic about the war. There might be a committed minority that still is, but I think it is a minority. But where I do agree with you, Nikos, is that I don't think there is going to be an insurrection or an uprising by the people to end the war and to overthrow the government in that way. I think in this, in the situation that exists in Ukraine today, with pervasive security forces, armed men, militias like
Azorov all over the place. And the SBU apparently listening randomly to people's telephone calls, I think that there is really no possibility of that happening, just to say. JML75 says, Alexander, you often say that Americans have asked the Russians to stop. Stop what exactly? What is this expression, shorthand for? Thank you. A great ceasefire. That is what the Americans want. The Americans want the Russians to agree to a ceasefire. A ceasefire on the existing lines. Flying boars says, if the US gets involved in Saudi Yemen war, we'll Iran get involved. Oh, I think it is involved. I mean, maybe not very visibly. And I suspect that most of what the Houthis produce in terms of weapons, they produce themselves. There are workshops and industrial places within Yemen.
But I think you're probably getting a lot of intelligence support from the Iranians. And I suspect the Iranians also provide the Houthis through whatever links there are with blueprints and plans for new weapons systems and that sort of thing. There's bound to be a leakage of weapons. However, however it happens, there's always going to be small boats to bring drones and components and chips and that kind of thing. And I suspect there's an awful lot of that going on. S. Gubi says, boycott adidas. And S. Gubi says, what do you think of Sergei Glaziov as potential Russian president? Oh, well, I think that he's unlikely myself. I mean, he's a brilliant economist. He has very interesting ideas. But he would be an unusual person to see climbing to the top of the political system. Bear in mind, he's not a member of the Russian Security
Council, where the top political leadership is located. And I do think he's a member of the Doom or anything like that. I think that the next Russian president is somebody who is going to emerge out of the existing top Russian leadership. And on previous occasions, made guesses about who might succeed Putin. And I've always been wrong. So I'm not going to make a guess in this story. Fuzzy Ball says, if Russia repatriates everything to the right of the Dnieper and the entirety of Ukraine's Black Sea coast and reuniting Tirasbol and Tirasnitskya, historically, what does this do for Putin's legacy among Russian leaders? What did enormously increases and improves his legacy? I mean, he will have restored Russian position in the Black Sea. He'll have brought all these Russian lands back to Russia. He will have defeated the West. It will enormously improve the way people see him.
And of course, just to add, the Ukraine that would be left out of this would be a Rome state, which would ultimately I suspect become a vessel of Moscow, of Russia. So I mean, it would put him on the same level as Peter and Catherine. And Dera said, Stalin as well. Nico says, the second reason is, unfortunately, China keeps sending them drone parts. The whole China put restrictions on the sale of drones. And of drone parts is BS. This isn't me wanting to take China. I think that Xi Jinping has the right idea for his country's direction. But the people around him are greedy. On X, I see more and more Russians and other Bricks people who feel that China is treating them more like vassals rather than allies. Am I wrong? Well, I get it to be something because I've done some, I've made some, I've got some questions about whether this Chinese flow of drone parts is continuing.
What I'm told is that it is actually reducing. But there is still a lot of it. A lot of drone parts still in the pipeline. So it will take probably until the middle of next year before we start to see this thing completely tell off. But it is starting to have a gradual impact. Of course, the West can make it's own drone parts, but it will be very expensive to do that. And they have more and more problems. As for the role of China within the Bricks, I'm going to say something here, Nikos, which is what I heard when I was in Moscow, when I was talking about the Brick situation. The view that I heard was that China isn't sufficiently assertive within the Bricks. The result is that steps taken within the Bricks by countries like Brazil, the initiatives,
Bricks initiatives tend to come up against roadblocks, put up by countries like India, Brazil, South Africa, and others. And it's left to the Russians always to do the heavy lifting. And then they get criticized for being rude as I was told. And the Chinese generally avoid getting drawn into these quarrels. So that I think is the actual dynamic within the Bricks. Monarchan RTV says, sadly, I fear infirm and children this winter in Kiev. Well, I think that anybody who has any spark of humanity about him or her must be extremely distressed about what has been happening to Ukraine ever since the West started to involve itself in that country way back in 2004 with the orange revolution.
Every year things have been getting worse. And this year, this winter, they're going to become catastrophic. And already we've seen the population more than half as what does that tell you? From 50 million to 25 million. Some people even pointed at 18 million. I know, absolutely. Fuzzy Ball says, have expectations among Russian military and general population elevated to the point that Putin cannot consider a ceasefire until they have taken everything right of the Dnieper and the Black Sea coast? Well, I think that isn't just the expectation. I think that's not the policy. If I have to say this, I mean, I think that the Russians don't believe this gets to be a deal. I think Whitgolf and Kushner came empty handed. I think that's already completely clear. And I think that the Russians don't trust any body
in the West now. They certainly don't trust the Ukrainians and they don't trust the Europeans either. And I think they have very much trust in the Americans at all. The two meetings that we've seen, the first with Radcliffe, the second with Whitgolf and Kushner. I mean, the chemistry was different, but the outcome was the same. The Americans wanted the Russians to stop the Russians said no. Nico says, now Alex about the Ukrainian strike on the Russian progress plant. I can tell you it was one flamingo that hit it after they sent 2,135 drones, 20 flamingos, and 11 high Mars in 48 hours. Drones are lethal. You have to stop underestimating this technology, especially now that it's mixing with cruise missile components like the Banderole missile drone. Well, I don't know whether he's addressing you, Alex. Probably me, but stop underestimating the drone technology.
I did the one because we have done. We have ever have done. I mean, drone technologies are deeply lethal. And thank you, by the way, for the information about the damage the attack on. 2,100 drones and 20 missiles, and one missile gets through. I have to say, again, I know a little bit about this factory because Soviet and Russian industries, people might know, it's something that I'm thinking, a lot of interested, this is an enormous factory. One missile isn't going to knock it out. It's probably not going to do a huge amount of damage either. But if you're using that amount of weaponry to attack one factory and only one missile gets through, then you are not going to succeed with this kind of campaign against the country's fastest
Russia. I mean, I would have said that was obvious. Flying Boer says, if I am Xi Jinping in China, I would be mad right now at MBS because they mediated a ceasefire between the Houthis and Saudis, MBS, through it all away by going to war. How is China feeling right now? Furious and exactly the way you said. I think they're very angry with every body, by the way. I don't think they're happy with the Iranians. I don't think they're happy with the Saudis. They're not happy with the Americans either. I think they're very, very angry altogether. And I read in Bloomberg that they're now ramping up purchases of Chinese oil. And the Russian oil, I'm sorry, a Russian oil. And the Chinese basically decided this is the only fully reliable oil that there is at the present time. Nico says, besides the deep strikes, Russia has enforced all their red lines, including the ships by providing convoys. That the West isn't afraid of anything.
Russia has the massive fleet in Kaliningrad and they are conducting surveillance of it. The elites operate on hatred, not fear. And that's the danger. Well, there is a very interesting article that has appeared in the Russian magazine of Uzghliad, which is basically run by the Russian military. We said this, the Europeans, the European elite, probably are not suicidal. But their history shows that they are adventurous and reckless and can engage in extraordinary and very dangerous gambles. So in a sense, what you've just said, Nico, is it's not that different from what the Russians think. I think that the Russians overall feel that the advantage is moving decisively towards them. And I think that what you're also going to find,
and I said this in my last program, is that with growing crisis on energy markets, the Americans are going to tell the Europeans, stop going off to the Russian shadow of lead. It makes no sense anymore. We need to keep, however much oil is out there, trading. We can't afford the Russians' Russian oil to be taken off markets in the same way that Iranian and Saudi and Persian Gulf oil now already is. And Bessond in effect hinted at this, when he said that part of the reason why there is this crisis with diesel oil is because of the attacks on the Russian refineries. He was overstating things in my opinion. But he is basically saying that Russian energy should once again be placed off limits.
We're interested to see whether the Americans follow through. Red Panda Pi says, should Ursula create an EU slush bond to teach Merck's empathy? Oh, these good ideas that you're giving to Ursula. Please keep on doing it. I'm sure she's taking notes. Flying Boris says, you think Xi Jinping can media another ceasefire between the Houthis and Saudis after MBS screwed up? I said, hell with it. I doubt it. I don't see any evidence that the Chinese are trying. From Jonathan Ventura, the Saudis' existence is in the hands of Ursula. Possibly. I don't want to claim that I know more about this region than I do. And it may be that Saudi Arabia has resources, manpower, loyalty that are deeper than I know.
But they do look like they're in a crisis of a kind that they have never been ever since the state was founded. Way back in the 1920s. Flying Boris says Lula and Modi are pathetic. They both are telling Putin to stop the war yet they are under threat from Trump. Well, I think that's probably the reason why they're telling Putin to stop the war because they are under threat from Trump. They feel very nervous about it. I said this already in various programs. And Ron Perkins confirmed this by the way in the program that we did with him. That the Russians believe that some of the people in the governments of Brazil and India are very nervous because they have been personally threatened by the United States with sanctions. Yeah, they're worried about sanctions. They're worried about the assets that they have in the United States. They're worried about their kids who are studying at top universities in the United States. Yeah, the US uses all of these.
Absolutely. The threat of them. Absolutely. That scubae says with all of the BRICS south, nations economically focused on export-led growth and the USA and the EU erecting tariffs, where will future demand come from? Well, I think that a lot of future demand is going to come from the BRICS states themselves. I think that the extent to which China itself depends on exports is overstated. I remember we went to all the statistics last year during the tariff wars. And it turned out that exports are a much smaller proportion of China's GDP than they were, say, 20 years or 10 years ago. Nico says, I had this reply on Russians with attitude that got a lot of traction where I basically said the decision by the elites has been made since 2019. Would they rather cause nuclear war than give up economic primacy to China and Russia,
Brian Brilettic and Tucker Crossin agree with me? They'll never stop. I hate to say it because I find him so arrogant, but Mershheimer was right. The West is looking for an excuse like a strike to expand this war. Well, you hear, if you're talking about a nucleus strike on Iran, I hate to admit this, but I think that is a very real possibility. I mean, I don't want to speculate about it because it is a terrifying prospect. But the worst things become, the more debate about doing it is going to grow. And we know that in previous wars, when the stakes were lower in Korea and Vietnam, the United States did actually think about using nuclear weapons. And I've heard that in 1973, during the Arab-Israeli War of that year, Israel also, at one point, gave serious thought to using nuclear weapons.
So the possibility of nuclear weapons being used is a real one. As I said, I don't want to discuss it further. I still think against the Russians, it's not really an option. Russia has just too many. Niko says since 2022, Russia has struck Ukraine's industries, ports, bridges with 14,000 missiles, 60,000 drones and 45,000 fabs, and Ukrainians don't flinch. I don't want to hear any more that Russia isn't going hard on Ukraine. Stanislav said that quote really means he wants strikes on the West. Well, baby, I mean, I don't want to speak with Stanislav. The Russians are certainly going hard on Ukraine. And I, but I mean, I say this, I think Ukraine is his buckling. I think that again, you're not familiar with the situation, the economic situation in Ukraine. But I gather it is terrible. And it is having an effect, no question.
Yeah, I also think that a lot of the fabs and a lot of the weapons that Niko highlighted were used to break down this massive fortified industrial belt in Donbass, which NATO built up for 10 years. I mean, this was a difficult task to tear all of this stuff down. Everything that NATO built for 10 years in Donbass, Russia has grinded through it. But it needed a lot of weapons to get through that. Absolutely. I mean, what we're seeing now in Odessa and Kiev is a whole different deal, something that Russia was not doing for the first four years. Correct. Completely agree. Niko, this is my concern. The LDPR has become a true opposition party to Putin by absorbing all the extremists, Medvedev. As usurp, much better candidates like Meditsky and Duman for the presidency. I wouldn't be surprised in the next elections,
Medvedev moves to the LDPR. That terrifies me because I see the leadership of Russia after Putin resembling that of Nikita Khrushchev's aggressive chaos. Medvedev dresses like Mao Zedong, and he has a chip on his shoulder, having him as president with the backing of LDPR extremists screams to me, Khrushchev, who was bad-shit, insane, and almost caused World War III. Well, I think it's... One more if that's confident leadership. Sorry, I didn't see the part four. If that's confident leadership, that will succeed Putin and Russia, then I call BS on that. All I can say is careful what you wish for. Well, can I just quickly say it? I think any speculations about the political future of Russia are premature because Putin is still very much in control, and he's still there. And I actually think that the leadership is going to be selected very, very carefully. As a Medvedev, just to say two things about him.
Firstly, I consistently said this about him. He's very loyal to Putin. Now, I don't think he's going to be involved in any political games that undermine Putin at all. I think that completely misunderstands the man. I've never believed at any time that he was any kind of liberal. I remember arguing with all kinds of people, like the SAKA, remember him about this. I always felt that he was politically very misunderstood. I think that, as I said, if you were to take over, he is a competent manager, a very capable manager. He's in charge of the Russian military industrial complex. This enormous surge in weapons production that we have seen in Russia is largely the result of what he's been doing. And he was previously a pretty competent prime minister in my opinion as well. So don't underestimate him,
but anticipating how things are going to play out. I think it would be a mistake now. And one thing I absolutely don't expect is medved of joining the LPD. I don't think that's going to happen. I think that's simply not on the agenda of any body in Russia. MSF, what says, if this is World War III, what's your advice to normal folks in Australia? Love and thanks for your work. It's interesting. I'll ask this question, because Lavrov came very close to saying that we are actually in World War III, that this is a period of enormous conflict between great powers. More than it's not, you know, peace within which there is rivalry and proxy conflicts. It is actual conflict. But because of the existence of nuclear weapons, it's having to be conducted in this rather strange hybrid way.
I still think that what we all think of as Earth World War III, you know, nuclear weapons being used between the great powers, that kind of disaster. I think that isn't going to, I think that's not on any body's agenda at the moment. Except maybe some crazy people in Europe. I don't think it's on the agenda of the American government or the Russian government or the Chinese government. And I think what we must do, what we, all of us must do in Australia, New Zealand and Europe, wherever, in America, is we must continue to advocate for peace and for return to normal, to normalality, political normality and argue all the time in every way that we can that this policy, these sets of policies that have been followed are unbelievably dangerous. And we see in Germany, I, I saw it myself
when I was in Germany. And we see it again in the elections in Germany. What we say does gain traction. We go, it says, right now I think United Russia will retain. It's last supermajority because Putin has put on the work. The question is what happens next? Stanislav and others bet on LDPR, Mavettiv to strike. Europe and Mavettiv just came out and said that he's willing to use NUGS, he terrifies me. Well, he, he, I think that was something of a misunderstanding. He said in extremists that he might be prepared to use NUGS. But I mean, he gave a very interesting interview to a Russian newspaper called Vyagomosti. And he explained a lot about himself. He said that while he was president of Russia and when he was prime minister of Russia, he had to work a lot with Western leaders. He said that the arrogance that they showed towards him and towards Russia meant that he was privately becoming angrier
and angrier and he was bottling it all up. Now that he has become, now that, you know, after the special military operation, he could finally release all this anger that had built up in him over a very, very long time. I think it was very interesting admission, actually, from Mavettiv. But he did, I think, quite clearly indicate in this, in this interview, which was conducted a very polite and very formal Russian, just to say, that ultimately he remains very much a, a, a, a, a person who does have self control and will exercise and does exercise self control in government and in policy. Florentina Kulta, thank you for that super sticker. Q4110 says when Lula flipped Amadurabak in 2024,
after someone tried to poison him, I knew it was the Americans coming for bricks. Bolsonaro has recently been blamed for it just this week, I believe. And he elections coming in Brazil. My, what I'm hearing is that Lula is increasingly likely to lose by the way, just to say. RBU 831-4-5 says hope you interview Dr. Marta Havrishko. She is a Ukrainian historian in war at refugee. She is a brilliant person and I would very much like to interview her indeed, actually. Flaying Boer says the EU is not afraid of Russia. It's about time Russia should exercise Kareganov, Dr. In, for example, if NATO goes after Russia fleet, fleets Russia should torpedo there, maybe escalate to the escalate peace through strength. You know, it's something I, I would, I would revise that view. Having been in Germany, actually, I found that people in Germany and I spoke to a white cross section of West German society.
I want to make that clear. They, they are utterly repelled by this policy. And I have seen opinion poll data now, which shows what, by the way, was already true at the time of the last Bundestag election, which is the issue of war and peace is higher, is even more important for German voters and even more inclined to make them vote for the IFD than the issue of immigration is just to say. Double triple down says update on G to Egypt, anything going on in Sinai. Well, that is a very good question. And there is still some uncertainties to want me exactly see when to Egypt, because Egypt is a big country. It's important. And it's the biggest Arab country. And it's also an important country in Africa. It has all kinds of linkages. I think that perhaps the Chinese,
one of the concerns they have as many people probably have, is how stable each of this, if Egypt depends on food imports from Russia, it depends on oils that is now getting increasingly have to be supplied by Russia. It still receives enormous amounts of funding from the United States, basically to keep it out of a war out of the conflict with Israel. So it is in that respect, a country which is now BRICS state, but I suspect the Chinese are a little bit worried about its overall stability, just as they're probably worried about the overall stability of the Middle East altogether. Nico says, is Russia falling for an Afghanistan trap by helping countries like Mali and Niger? These countries are corrupt, and once Russia leaves,
they'll collapse. Well, you may be right, but the Russians have been very careful not to do this with their own conventional military. I used to say that the Wagner organization was clearly being set up by the Russians, and clearly being set up by the Russians as a kind of foreign leachum, that the Russians could deploy around the world, and it would give the Russian government distance from it, and it would also mean that the Russian military was not directly involved in conflicts. Well, the Wagner organization is now the Africa core, which is rather extraordinary word, name, by the way, from somewhere from Britain and Germany, because of course there was the German force, it was called the Africa core. Anyway, they're the Africa core, and we see what they are able to do these things with the Russians without Russia itself being too deeply committed.
Hafez Hafez says, why is Iran slow to strengthen ties with China? That is an excellent question, for which I cannot fully give an answer. I don't know enough about Iranian domestic politics, politics, to be able to say, my guess is, and I was once told this by none other than Professor Marandi, himself, that there continues to be, within Iran, a very, very powerful and very large section of the Iranian economic and even political establishment, that hankers for reconciliation with the United States, and still believes that the only real way for Iran to prosper is through some kind of rapprochement with the Americans. Nico says, isn't Russia better to stay in the background like in Syria? They haven't lost anything there and they pay less. No one cares anymore about Assad.
Yeah, possibly. I mean, I think the Russians have played the Syrian game since Assad's fought with some skill, actually. I can't say that it makes me happy. I mean, I don't like the existing regime in Syria at all, but I mean, they still have a presence in Syria. And maybe one day they'll be able to make use of it. We'll see. Chris Ned Balek says, can you get Richard Barris on to talk about current polling in the US? I think Trump will be impeached when the Dems likely take the House and I'd love a discussion on it. You gentlemen are the best. Thank you. That is an absolutely brilliant idea. Maybe it may be a good way to do it. Would be to have Richard Barris and Robert Vans together. Yeah. Richard is a great guy. Richard Ees Robert. Robert, of course, a great guy. Richard is a great guy. Yeah. I'll get a great shot of it to put together. Yes. Tony Wilde, thank you for that. Superchette. Sarah says, why should at Greece maintain good relations
with Iran given their shared history and that both countries face Turkey as a regional rival? Well, I am in favor of Greece having good relations with all its neighbors, including Iran. Zavok's idea says, would you consider having history legends on? That's not a bad idea. I mean, I would like to say we've been very great thing to do and we really great to start doing more history programs again. Well, he does use great coverage on the wars, well, yeah. So yeah, that would be great to have history legends on. Yeah. Nico says, I'll give this to Kim Young-un. Unlike his monster of a father, he understood that you have to give something to the people. He needs to open the borders. Well, I think someone with Kim Young-un is, I don't know how much of our advice he listens to. But he's clearly a very clever man. And I think that we can definitely say. And some years ago, when I said that North Korea was going through something of an economic boom,
I remember that it was an awful lot of pushback. But every both he's now saying it now, even the financial times. You got a lot of crap for that. But as with most things, you were proven right. But Kim Young-un is winning big. He's one of the big winners from everything that's happened in the world right now. Absolutely. He's winning big. Samuel Moroni can Russia conquer Kiev without other mobilization? Well, Putin has categorically ruled out mobilization. I think for the moment, capturing Kiev is not on the short term agenda. I think they have to finish Don Bas first. And there's also what's going on in Zaporazia. If once all of those things are done, and that's still going to take some time, then since I don't expect the war to end at that point,
maybe they will have to start thinking about Kiev, and maybe then they will decide whether they need more troops and how they're going to find them. My own view is that they will not want to go down the route of mobilization. And if it looks as if the war is soon going to be won, there will be no shortage of voluntary recruits in Russia. Especially given that the pay is high. Daksin, Ting says Shastkoff and his Jared the boy from the Omen. Sorry, I'm not quite familiar with that. That's not easy. Definitely so nice. I think you're back to the Omen. I think it's rather, or I can't remember his name. Damian. Damian. Damian. I mean, I think you would have Jared rep for this, actually. Nico says with the Turkish economy faltering in Erdogan, wanting to remain, Sultan should grease worry about the accelerated militarization of Turkey. Yes.
It's a short word. I think the Erdogan is never going to, is a very, I mean, he knows how to gamble up to the level, you know, where he's not going to be put at personal risk. But ultimately with somebody like him, there's always the fear that eventually he will do something that will take things too far. And with Erdogan, you can never be capsulately sure. I would never be comfortable being close to Erdogan and to a Turkey led by Erdogan, especially at the time with the economy, as you rightly say, is in some, is going through serious problems. Nico says, I hope I pay for your trip Alexander. I'm sorry to my fellow Duranians, if I black pill Jew, but I express my concern in facts, be well Durani. It's all good because.
It's all good because it's absolutely. Yes, it's good. Yeah. Flying Bors says, remember, Medvedev signed that ridiculous deal with France, A ships and helicopters, which France never honored and took the money, yeah. Of course. Absolutely. Yes. I remember the deal very well. It was, of course, the brainchild of the deeply corrupt defense minister, Sir Duke of, who was an associate. I mean, that was the person who brought him, who raised him up, was none other than Putin himself, the most disastrous appointment that Putin ever made throughout the entire time of his leadership. Yeah. No one's perfect. Alexander, they all make mistakes. Yeah, Mr. In the overfilm says, could add and fall, paving the way for Yemen's reunification into Houthi leadership? Possibly. I mean, I, I, I think that it's increasingly likely.
I mean, South, Yemen, as it used to be called, a North Yemen. I mean, there were political, you know, there are political, ideological, we have had political differences and all that. So, you know, there are, there are those, you know, problems. But you know, the Houthis are far and away, the strongest group in Yemen, and they seem to represent what you might call Yemeni nationalism. From, from, one second ahead, that lost it. There we go. From Zariel, Mayor to equating, I have Des Agenda with ethnic cleansing, it is now costing him dearly and clearly. of there in all are now suing him for defamation and wanting him indicted any day now, she works any day now. I can't just say a few things, Zaro, firstly, it's great to have you on this show always. Secondly, your analysis, your discussions about Mads
going back basically to before he became chancellor have been proved to be spot on. The full absurdity and grotesqueness of the man became fully clear to me only after the election in Saxon and Hau. I mean, listening to him, watching him has been an astonishing experience and I can now better understand why when I went to Germany and talked about Mads. I mean, people, the reaction was one of either ridicule or disgust. He's worse than all the shots. Oh, if that's possible. He is. That's possible. La La Levy says is pick X still a thing? Pick X melting. Oh, sure. I mean, I'm a good narrative for them. The good narrative.
I mean, but you know, it's that these good narratives never completely go away. So I don't expect it to disappear. You know, Iranian kiddos does a small but highly influential and wealthy Greek community of a few thousand people was well established in around during the 1960s and 1970s. I was I know very well. I've met people from then, from then, for that time. Nico says in last but not least, André Kellen left Britain. I am going to miss him. He had some of the funniest interviews with psychos like Yala Hadim. He was an exceptional ambassador and I miss him too. Iranian kiddos says many Greek construction firms were also active there during the economic boom Iran experienced in the 1960s. Absolutely. Again, I remember I remember I think people who were involved in all of that. And of course, in Greece anyway, we take, we take a great deal of interest in Iran. Paul Walker says the Russian African core, the RAC. I don't know.
I don't know. I'm Royal. Royal, I'll tell them the ill clums. I'm going to say the problem in Iran is that moderate and liberals. Oh, come on. There we go. Is that moderate and liberals who want good ties with the West? I think there are, there are many problems in Iran. I think again, I don't want to speak to categorically about a country, a country whose political system, I don't fully know and whose personalities, I don't particularly well know. So, you know, I need to be very careful what I say. But I get the sense that the system has some very tough, very clever, very capable people. But there's an awful lot of others who are basically less capable and less clever. And that within within the system, there's an awful lot of disorganization
and some corruption as well. As Scooby says, would like to say a discussion between Mercuris and Farofakis. Oh, well, Monday, you know, we used to have discussions when we were at school, you know, long ago. Though I don't remember them because I don't remember him. We were very little children then. Right, right, and kiddo says most people probably know that, but it was the Greek banker, Mino Zumbanakis, who helped Iran establish its central bank in the 60s. Absolutely. Well, of course, I know that. And you know that. But the most people here know that. But anyway, but we were very involved, we were very, very involved in Iran at that time. And it's an interesting to know, Iranian kiddo, that despite, you know, the history is in all of that. The Greeks not only know a lot about Iran, but have I think overall rather good feeling towards it. Matt Lesek says in the fall of 2012, Medvedev was told by Obama that he needed more space
after the 2020 US elections. What did Obama need more space for to stage a false flag gas attack in Syria, the Maidan in Ukraine nearly a year later? The Russians have never forgotten that one. And nor has Medvedev, but he's brought it up several times. Fuzzy Ball says, once the remaining rum state of Ukraine capitulates, knowing that London and Brussels have gone all in on Ukraine, where do they all go from there? It appears the bridge and Europeans will pay a steep price. Well, yes. I mean, this is the thing to say. I mean, put aside all the forget all about all the scarce or is about the Russians marching on Paris or anything of that kind, which they're not going to do. The defeat in Ukraine itself is going to be a massive blow for the EU and the EU system and the political class in Europe, given how much they've invested in it. I mean, how much of their prestige is invested in it.
Now, what is going to happen is that their anger is going to wax to enormous proportions. And what they always do is that they take their anger out from the realm of people. Exactly. We're going to go and say, yeah. Exactly what they're going to do. They're going to take it all out on us. Mama Laska says, Alexander, and Alex gratitude for all your hard work. For that open view, Aziz says, can you please talk about Lehman? What is happening there? X is full of stories about a Russian defeat. Actually, we discussed it in a video and published yesterday, but Alex, I don't know if you want to recap what you said about Lehman. You also discussed it on your channel. Yes. Yes. But to the way it's my summary of it. Very, very quickly. We don't really know. And Rey Dolfka, the newspaper in Smolens, said exactly the same thing. That there's clearly some kind of a battle there. But neither the Russians, nor the Ukrainians are telling us very much about it. And we don't have a great deal of, you know, we don't have much video footage that confirms the situation.
So everybody's keeping very, the officials are keeping very, very quiet. So we can't really say what I will say is this. If there has been a Ukrainian offensive in this area, and if it has gained some ground, well, that is not something new in this war. What it is probably doing is that it is causing the Ukrainians to over-concentrate on Lehman to achieve some kind of advance there, weakening their forces all over the rest of the conflict line. And things are going very badly for them across the rest of the conflict line. They're going to lose an awful lot of their people in this offensive against attacking positions of much better armed Russians. And the iron story of these Ukrainian offensive is that they eventually run out of momentum
and the Russians quickly regain all the territory that the Ukrainians have recaptured over the course of them. So if there is a Ukrainian offensive going on, which there may be, it's not in the end going to turn out well for the Ukrainians at all. We've seen this happen over and over again. We're going to be going to be a connection this in our video update that we talked that we published yesterday. If there is an offensive, if it is gaining territory, Ukraine is going to lose a lot of men, a lot of material in this offensive. But it serves the purpose of what Zelensky is doing in his travels, which is asking for more money and more weapons. He does this over and over again. And the media and the leaders of the West fall for it every single time. He does one of these offensive. He then goes and travels all across Europe. He goes to Canada.
He goes to the United States. He says, look, see, we gained X amount of territory in X area, whatever the Russians are saying, whatever Putin told you, President Trump in your phone call from last week. Don't believe it. Here's a map. Here's the territory that we've gained in Leman. Give me money. Give me weapons. And he gets it. And he gets it. We'll see if he gets it this time around. He's already gotten it in Canada. So he already went to Karni. And he already showed Karni what success Ukraine is having. Success, right? They're getting completely demolished everywhere. But he's going to show Karni this Leman situation. And Karni is going to say here's 500 million. And Stub is going to say Ukraine is winning. And Karni is going to say Ukraine is winning. And Trump is going to say things are not as bad as Putin was telling me. And he does this over and over again, because Zalex he doesn't care about everything he's going to lose in this offensive. As long as he gets the media and PR push that he's hoping for so that he can get weapons and money, that's it.
Exactly. Alex is disappointed. More money than weapons that you said. Alexander in the video yesterday. He's more concerned about the money than the weapons. Exactly. Christine Balik, have you seen the 10-year US treasury? It's at 4936 right now. I'm going to comment on that. No, I think that speaks for itself. We said this earlier in the program. I mean, people are starting to lose confidence in the West's financial system. I mean, that and obviously, this huge growth of debt in the United States, $40 trillion of debt, is now starting to alarm people, especially as they see no sign that the deficits are going to be brought under control. And of course, as debt rises and yields grow, more and more money that is raised in taxes has to be used to pay the interest.
And that means that there's less money for other things. And that is also going to have an effect. And eventually, what we're also going to see is that we're going to start floating more debt, not to pay the capital on the old debt, but to try to pay the interest on it. Which is, that's a do-mute, by the way, when that happens. Everything best it did over the past month is failed. Yeah. Right? Yeah. Exactly. But don't worry. If you vote Republicans, if you vote Republican in November, you're going to get $5,000. That's fine. That's all good. Right. Flying Borset. The Brits are the reason there is tension with Russia. And it all goes back to Lord Parmesan during Kremlin War in 1850. Oh, yeah. There's an awful lot to say about the Kremlin. It was a big story, which we need to discuss at some point. But the historical consensus today
is that the Kremlin war was engineered by the British. It has something that has only finally been understood over the last 20 years, which is really extraordinary. I mean, the way in which the British were able to claim it was either French or the Russians who were responsible and diverted tension from themselves for so long really was extraordinary. Geostone says, what is your viewpoint on AI and the warning of more destructive than a nuclear weapon? But AI is uncontrollable to be stopped. How do we manage this? I think AI is useful as a tool. I think that some of the claims that have been made about it are wildly overoptimistic, if I can say, used badly as a tool. I think it could have very bad consequences.
But that is true. Many technologies, not just this one. I don't know what Alex thinks. Yeah, I agree. Has it definitely has its positives, but it is a worrying technology. Absolutely. Very dangerous technology. But it also is an amazing technology. Yes. It also isn't disappointing to that technology at times as well. Yeah. Yes. Sometimes it doesn't get it right. Exactly. Terra Simbalika says, guys, if you would ever like to speak about Byzantium, could you please give my fledgling channel a leg up on the Byzantinist? Oh. Terra Simbalika, let's do it. Absolutely. I think that would be an interesting discussion. That's a huge topic. What would you say? That's not what's going on. Exactly. Well, where I'll examine it. What would be interesting? Well, there's an awful lot that could be interesting. Let me give an example, which is, I think,
a very similar situation, which is the war that basiled the second, fought against Bulgaria in the late 10th, early 11th century. This is a war of seizures. And it went on for decades. And it was a relentlessly conducted war. And there are elements of it, which do remind me sometimes. I've been think, because I was brought up, by the way, on a historical novel written by Greek writer called Pinalopia Delta, probably Alex knows it too, which is about this very same war. The way that this is a war of seizures, that was a war of seizures, reminds me a lot sometimes about the war in Ukraine, which is also up to now, basically, a siege war. So just the same. So basal the second, that period of Byzantine peak is very, very interesting.
The time of Justinian is extremely interesting as well. The survival and success of Byzantium during the period of the Arabs, the rise of the Arabs, and of the Caliphate, is also extraordinary. And the relations between the Byzantines and the Arabs, which is very interesting, very different from what we have now. And then also, what has to say, the time of the fourth crusade, the whole interaction with the crusaders, and what came after with the Paleo-Logans, said there's an awful lot to talk about. So we have a lot of content. A lot of shows. Huge. So it has happened. Let's think about doing something. There's Byzantine music, by the way, it's very interesting. And Byzantine iconography, painting, and architecture. Zaryel says, thank you guys for being so authentic. Much love. Thank you, Zaryel.
Iranian kiddo, Eliantoni Adis, and Iranian born Greek and president of the Greek community in Iran during the 60s and 70s. She launched an initiative to help combat illiteracy in rural Iran as part of the Shah's white revolution in the 60s. Yeah. And I knew an Iranian kiddo says, Ellie's contributions to her country will always be remembered. She is now in her 80s and lives in Athens. Wow. OK. We should try and retell with her one day. I knew a Greek architect, a very brilliant Greek architect. A couple, this is a long time ago, who was also a member of the Greek community in Iran and basically started out there. Just a second. Jeffrey Ward says, can you talk about what a future election in Ukraine might look like? Who will define who is a Ukrainian? That's an excellent question. I think a Ukrainian election at the moment is almost unthinkable.
I mean, think that it would be like, you know, you have a jar full of spiders and scorpions, all of the poisonous. You break open the jar and little scuddling out. That would be what the election is like. I think that this is going to require an enormous amount of management. Now, I did think any board is really sort about this or has defined how it would be done just to say. Jay Basin says, Brent crude is $104 down from an earlier high. And drones require a lot of components. How long can the logistics of those components suffer from supply shortages? Well, they did. Again, it depends how much you've stopped. I have been told, again, this is things I've been told. I can't confirm that in fact, the drone offensive that Ukraine began to launch in June, basically, May June, had been worked on for well over. I mean, going back basically to 2023.
So there is a lot of stockpiles, big stockpiles, lots of preparation, lots of thinking behind it. And the Americans were right at the forefront of it from the start. Iranian Kudos says, today, the beautiful Greek Orthodox Church of St. Mary stands near the former United States Embassy on what was once called Roosevelt Street before the Revolution. Its design was inspired by the Parthenon. Oh, well, OK. Flying Borses, Merch is not liked by Angela Merkel either. That tells a lot about him. Does anyone? It's one of the things, by the way, that before once, I mean, I didn't know very much about that. But one used to hear things about him. The fact that Merkel didn't like him, actually was something that counted in. He's favored, as far as I was concerned, how wrong I was. In it, for funds, as capitalism is parasitic and humane and not sustainable, socialism builds capitalism destroys. Oh, I used to say that.
In my old days. Iranian Kudos says, I'm guessing the church is mostly closed nowadays because most Greeks left Iran after the Revolution. I think that's right. Matt Defens says, what is NATO, IE Western leaders going to do when they finally realized that the just piece they promised for Ukraine isn't going to happen? That is an extra question. Well, I think we partly answered it. In Europe, they will take out their anger on us. Iranian Kudos says it serves as a reminder of what was once a thriving Greek community in Iran. Hopefully one day, that community will return and the church will open its doors once again. Yes, I know. I hope so. Zivox ID says, following the Russia victory, will the EU be capable of showing pragmatism and restoring diplomatic relations with Russia? No. Not me, you. Not the current EU leadership. Of course, one can perhaps just about imagine a situation
where we have what would in effect be a political revolution in Europe? And nations like Germany and France and Italy and Spain and might, maybe one day even Britain, start to rediscover their sovereignty and start to conduct their own foreign policies. And in that case, they might improve. Their relations with Russia. But I don't think the EU structurally ever can. Peter Zaman says, a lot of pro-Ukrainian commentators like David Dove were promoting this lemod counteroffensive. I know a lot of them, including Hamish, Breton, Gordon in the Daily Telegram after that. But I mean, there is extremely thin information about this. And I mean, the fact that they're launching it all based on this very little news. In a way, it tells you how desperate the situation is. They're asking for $70 billion by the end of 2026, Zelensky.
This is madness. And they're clutching on a alleged supposed counteroffensive in Leman, where the Ukraine military is going to get smashed when it's all said and done. It's just $60 billion is what they're asking for. Yeah. How are they going to survive? How are they going to conduct a war? I mean, it's madness. It's madness. Yeah. Fuzzy Ball says, do Brits and Europeans realize that the social safety nets are being dismantled in London and Brussels, are the draconian, online, and social media measures, crushing dissent? Yes. I mean, I think more and more people are thing it. What has to say that the level of popular resistance varies greatly from country to country. So in Germany, we're now starting to see an organized political force, which for the moment is pushing back on all of this and doing so. Unflinchingly, I mean, they say they want to be out of the euro. They want to end the war with Russia.
They want to see gas returns. They want more rational energy policies. They want all of these things. In Britain, we don't have any organized force like that out there at the moment. Reform might eventually become that, but for the moment, it isn't. Double triple down says, tap places to visit in the UK in Greece for one week. Tap places to visit in the UK in Greece. Well, I'll ask Alex to talk about Greece. I'll talk about Britain. Let me say first of all, London, Oxford in Cambridge, which are extraordinarily beautiful medieval cities, especially Oxford. In the countryside, the peak district, the Yorkshire Dales in England, the Scottish Highlands, which I don't really know, but they are extraordinary.
Some of the great cathedral cities, and the Saudi-Southbury, Winchester, Canterbury, York, York, especially in the north. For Greece, you have time to hit the islands still. You've got to hurry, but you still have time to go to the islands and take your pick. Many islands to go see. And then of course, Athens, at the Saloniki. So Saloniki, that's only he's a great city, by the way. He's fantastic. I should also say that I love the Pelopolis. I'm, there's a north lot about the Pelopolis, that I like. And Arcadia is a real place. And it is in the Pelopolis, it's at it is beautiful. But there, you have a lot of play. But it's a good time to visit Greece, actually. Middle and September October. Yes, yes. Openview, as he says, do you have any new updates about the Raspets system? It appears that they are doing everything possible to disrupt the development of this system. Absolutely. I think he's in low level operation, actually.
I don't think the Ukrainians can really seriously disrupt it. And the Ukrainian commentator, perhaps he went too far, but he said that they only need seven more satellites to have 24-7 coverage over the whole of Ukraine, what we'll see. It is coming. It has been developed very fast. And one thing I had not appreciated is that it's based on Russian satellite communications technology that had already been developed with other satellites already in service, which the Raspets took the technology off and evolved. So that probably, to some extent, explains the speed of its development and its deployment. I think it's a big thing. I think just as the Russians develop Glonass, which is their equivalent to GPS, and the Chinese also develop their system,
the Russians are now developing their own alternative to Starlink. The Chinese are certain to follow. We're going to have a very interesting time with all of these various satellite linkages and all of that kind of thing going on. Iranian kiddos says white revolution was one of the main factors that led to the revolution historians say during the economic boom, millions of religious, lower class people moved to the cities overnight. And of course, they supported Hominay in 79. I remember reading way back in the late 1970s, a book by a British scholar called Fred Halliday, called Iran, dictatorship and development, which was by the way not entirely unsympathetic to the show, not by any means, but it said exactly that. That the pace of change was so fast
that it was almost certainly going to create a social crisis in Iran. Harry C. Smith says Lena Petrovow would be an excellent interview about the Russian economy. She's very well informed and always asks intelligence. I agree. I agree. I agree. From Jimmy's, Jimmy's, Yiros, Alex and Alexander, love your work as always. It's been a while. Can I ask, what is the view inside Greece and especially yours of Greek MEP after the, that's what for Alex? Yeah, she's in the parliament, the new parliament, the voice of reason, Alexander. Right. Let's wait and see. It's a wait and see. But it comes to Greek politicians. Let's wait and see. Yeah. Just popular, for dating popularity. Yeah, which push party scene? Voice of reason. Right again. Yeah.
Um, let's, let's go to. Double triple down Byzantine Arts Spectacular, especially the carvings. Oh, yeah. Byzantine Empire achieved a tremendous culture. Yeah, not, not study much in schools in the West, though. Not study much in schools in the West, but there is, there are some very strong Byzantine departments in some of some universities, Oxford, for example, and in Paris. Yeah. Iranian Kyrgyz is a beautiful, rare panoramic painting, the Kremlin war was destroyed a few months ago, in the drone attack and so on. I know. Absolutely. Yeah. Uh, Kristen, Christine Baleck says, people say that Russia has taken on all of NATO, but it seems to me it's bigger than that. Russia has also taken on the Chinese ability to produce drones. It's really pretty amazing.
Russia's, Russia's manufacturing capacities. Uh, were hugely underestimated. And again, I get to say this blow my own Trump, but I always said so. Uh, from, I'm sick. Puzzle balls. Europe is being industrialized at a break, Nick, Nick, peace. What industries other than travel will be left in Europe in five years. Good question. That's what we've been saying. I'm not sure if the Iranian kiddos as the islands get real secluded from around November, one thing to keep in mind. True. True. Very true. Empire, we are zero one gentlemen. You previously ran away from the information I offer. I'm offered. I'm a primary source of US and PT violations. I built Israeli F-15s. I created a sub stack. Same name. Please don't run away. Empire, we are zero one. Did we run away?
You know, you know, we get to say no. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. It's not impossible that. You know, it got submerged in it. But, um, certainly we would look. We would look into it. Send us send us a message. Now we know empire. We are zero one. Now we know to keep it. I mean, I, I should just, I just just say, I mean, Alex and I get hundreds, literally hundreds of messages every day. And trying to stay on top of them is. You know, so this is the chart. It's a job. It's a job. Yeah. Exactly. Uh, Aaron and kiddo says, Sha was dying from leukemia. He had kept it a secret since 1974. That's probably why his agenda was so rushed towards the end. He had totally discounted the rise of Marxist Islamism. Yeah. I think that's it. I was angry. Wow. That's a great last week. One second. Uh, no wait. Yeah. That's it. That's it. Yeah. Okay.
Great. Great. And wonderful to have one again. I'll be in the US next week. But we will certainly be doing more. Uh, very soon. From, uh, from Escubi, abandoning fiscal and monetary sovereignty for your own membership. Is a trap. That is near and possible. I'm going to be able to do that. I'm going to be able to do that. I'm going to be able to do that. I'm going to be able to do that. I'm going to be able to do that. I'm going to be able to do that. I'm going to be able to do that. Yeah. Okay. anybody wants You get through leadership is a trap, that is near and possible to escape from by design. Alex calls it hotel California. And that is exactly what everyone calls it. Hey number. Oh, you started you were the first, you were the first. It is hotel California, yeah, yeah. Uh, Yeah, that was the last show I was dying. Okay. Let me do one quick check to make sure I got everything. Love it. You're right about this. Let me do a quick check. Living in interesting times, three wars, three wars,
and in the West we're losing all three. I mean, that in itself ought to tell us something. And of course it doesn't. And three wars happening with an economic crisis just over the horizon. Wars, by the way, do generally bring about economic problems. And this one is going to be. This one, these ones are doing so. Do a huge extent. And I have to say this again. The opportunity that Donald Trump had after he was elected to change course and veer away from all of this was absolutely there. And it is disastrous that he didn't take it. Not only was it there, it was easy, easy. It was easy, easy, so easy for him. And boy did he screw it up. Screwed it. We got two more, two more. I was going to that.
From Ronnie Kitto, in his last interview, the shots said most people weren't on the street. They actually stayed home. And that's kind of true. All he was thinking about still was the state of Iranian economy by year 2000. And thank you for that, Ronnie Kitto. And from Angel Dell, the Cuban government and the Iranian government understand that they have to make a choice between the pest and the cholera. In China, the Rothschild have been active since 1853. Behind the Communist gang, we have the same cult. What is your vision about this? Well, I'm not sure. I didn't. I've never heard of the Rothschilds being very involved China today, to be honest. I think Cuba and Iran have auctions. And I don't think they're taking them. And I think that in both cases, certainly in Cuba, I think the Americans, the ones who want Rothschilds with the Americans are probably going to win out in the end.
OK. And the final one from Miss Texas G, to wrap it up. Alexander, will the Houthis go to Mecca? My cast. Well, who knows? Now, that would be dramatic. It's happened before, the way. It's happened before in history, but not for hundreds of years. If they go, if the Yemenis, if the Houthis go to Mecca, well, we have a crisis in that case, that is going to make all the other crises that we've been talking about seeming to be. Absolutely. All right. Thank you to everyone for joining us on this livestream. Everyone that joined us on Rumble, on Odyssey, and YouTube, and the Dred community on the locals, the dred.locals.com. Also look for us on Substek. Alexander, that's everything. Thank you to our moderators on YouTube as well. Thank you for everything that you're doing. Great livestream. Great livestream, guys.
