Leon Draisaitl Out, Oilers Adjust Strategy

The 30-year-old center got hurt during Sunday's 3-1 win over the Nashville Predators. He took a hit early in the first period, came back for two quick shifts, but sat out the rest of the game. The Oilers have 14 games left, starting Tuesday against the San Jose Sharks. Their third in the Pacific Division, just one point behind Vegas and two back of Anaheim. Playoffs kick off April 18th, right after their final regular season matchup. Team Captain Connor McDavid says, no one can fully replace Drysidal's leadership, but the group has plenty of voices to step up. Coach Chris Noblouch plans to tweak the top power play unit, where Drysidal led with 16 power play goals. They'll experiment with lying combinations during morning skates.
