Reporting from The Daily News Now, I'm Corey with the latest in Lester. New research from Lloyd's Banking Group highlights a part of Lester's share as a prime spot for first-time home buyers. In Lester and Old B, these buyers made up 66.9% of all mortgage home purchases in 2025. That puts the area at the top of the East Midlands list. Nationally, it ranks sixth overall. Trailing spots like Manchester, Sanwell, Birmingham, Luton, and Thurick. Manchester leads with first-time buyers at 70.2% of purchases. The average price for a first-time buyer home there is 221,663 pounds. That's just 2,718 pounds above the East Midlands average, which helps explain the strong demand. Affordability remains the top factor for many buyers, pushing them to explore areas that balance cost with lifestyle needs. Lenders note this trend is creating unexpected hotspots across regions. Meanwhile, other top areas like Coventry and Harlow show similar patterns, often with prices below their
regional averages, signaling broader shifts. And where new buyers are heading, this story is shared with support from our sponsor. No need to switch positions. The sound is already where your head is, S-O-L-L-I-SOLYPELLOW.COM
