Lee County Fire: One Dead, One Hurt

It happened on Lee Road 211, where emergency crews rushed to the scene amid thick smoke. Firefighters from the Smith station, fire protection district, led the response, joined by the Lee County Sheriff's Office and others. They quickly entered the building and pulled out the first victim for immediate medical care. That person was rushed to a local hospital, while crews from the Ladonia Fire Department worked to control the flames. Sadly, a second victim was found elsewhere inside and pronounced dead at the scene. Now the case is shifted to the Lee County Sheriff's Office Investigation Division and the Alabama Fire Marshal's Office to figure out what started. The blaze.
