For years, James has topped openly about his interest in team ownership after he retires. Now, with the league eye and growth to 32 teams, his name keeps coming up for Vegas franchise. Earlier this week, Bleacher Report writer Eric Pinkett suggested James and his agent Rich Paul could team up for it. The idea was that James was step away from playing, while Paul sold his agency to fund ownership stakes. Paul quickly shut it down on the podcast. He said he does not know Pinkett's, but appreciates the shout out. Still, he insisted there is no truth to it, and no talks happened.
