Leafs Snap 8-Game Skid with Comeback Win

For the NHL, it's March 13th, and here's what's going on.

The Toronto Maple Leaf snapped an 8-game losing streak with a 6-4 comeback win over the

Anaheim Ducks at Scotiabank Arena.

Matthew Nees led the way with one goal and three assists, while the Leafs scored four

straight goals on special teams to Rally from a 3-1.

William Nylander netted the go-ahead goal just 36 seconds into the third period on the

power play, putting Toronto up 4-3.

Matthias McSally chipped in with a goal and two assists, including the early one to nothing

lead in the first.

Fans finally had something to cheer after the Leafs first home victory since January 10th.

They had gone 0 and 6 and 2 in their previous 8 at home.

Gold tender Joseph Wolls stood tall with 36 saves to seal the deal.

Meanwhile, the Ducks had been rolling, winning 8 of their last 10 games, but goals from

Cutter Gaffier, Ian Moore, and Pablo Mintykov weren't.

Lucas Dostoye made 22 saves in the loss.

The game wrapped with a shorthanded tally from Bo Grull and Nees's empty netter before

Anaheim's late reply, giving the Leafs a much-needed boost, heading forward.
