Landry's Playoff Grudge: Browns' What-If

In the 2021 AFC Divisional game on January 17th, the Cleveland Browns fell to the Kansas City Chiefs, 22-17. Landry blames back-up quarterback Chad Henn for crushing his dreams after Patrick Mahomes left with a concussion. Hennie stepped in during the third quarter and delivered in the clutch, including a key fourth and one pass to seal the win with just over a minute. Left, that victory sent Kansas City to the AFC Championship while the Browns win home. Landry points out his team had dominated Buffalo earlier that year, and he believes they could have matched up well against them too. Landry had a strong season, leading Cleveland in receptions with 72 catches for 840 yards, plus five touchdowns counting the playoffs. It marked the third straight year he topped the team in those stats. For the Browns, it was a rare deep run.

The Browns have struggled since that playoff high, posting an 8-26 record over the last two seasons, including a fourth straight, losing year under Stofansky in 2025.
