Knicks' Sochan: High-Risk, High-Reward Gamble

The New York Knicks made a bold move in the bio market after their trade deadline deals, snapping up forward Jeremy Sochan to boost their front court defense. As 6-8 with a massive wingspan, he's a low-risk bet for playoff irritation against opponents. So Sean brings intriguing defensive tools, but his total lack of a jump shot limits his fit in modern lineups. The Knicks see him as a high-reward gamble to add grit up front. He's averaged under 10 minutes per game, and five of his six appearances so far. Fellow defender Mohamed Diawara has outplayed him lately, grabbing more rotation minutes.
