The suitcase held a spiral notebook with meeting minutes, a ledger book, a 1964 Imperial Executive Order, and several pamphlets. These artifacts offer a rare look into Klan operations during a time of major unrest in the state. Officials see this as a key step in documenting hate groups from the past. Leaders from public safety stressed that preserving such items helps prevent future generations from falling into similar traps of division and prejudice. The incoming archives director highlighted how the materials mix everyday records with propaganda from a secretive local chapter tied to the national group. This combo gives researchers fresh insights into 1960s activities that were often hidden.
