Toronto Blue Jays Catcher Alejandro Kirk has built a solid career in Major League Baseball

over six years.

He's played in 564 games with a batting average around 268, 51 home runs and 263.

Runs batted in, Kirk earned two All-Star nods and one Silver Slugger award while with the

Jays.

In the 2025 season, the 27-year-old from Tijuana, Mexico, shown in 130 games, hitting 15

home runs and driving in 76 runs.

He took it up a notch in the playoffs, starting all 18 games with five homers and 13 RBI's,

helping Toronto chase a pennant.

This spring, Kirk chose to represent Mexico in the 2026 World Baseball Classic as their

starting catcher in pool B against teams like the United States and Italy.

In four games, he went for for 15, smack one home run and had four RBI's.

On Wednesday, Mexico fell nine to once Italy, dropping to a two and two record and finishing

third in the pool behind Italy's four wins and the USO, with three, that knocked him out

of quarterfinal contention.

Now Kirk heads back to the Blue Jays spring training and done it in Florida as Toronto

prepares to defend its American League pennant in 2026.
