The Los Angeles Kings picked up a two-nothing shut-out win over the Calgary Flames on Saturday night at Crypto.com, Arena. Alex LaFaireier scored the first goal on a rebound in the second period, and Adrian Kempi added an empty netter, leading the third. Goldtender Anton Forsberg was solid with 29 saves for his first win of the season. The Flames got a strong effort from Dustin Wolf, who stopped 35 of 37 shots. Calgary came into the game with one win on their three-game California trip, but now sit at one win and one loss. Both teams traded chances early, with the first period scoreless, despite 27 combined shots. Flames players like Matt Coronado and Joel Therapy created prime opportunities, including a breakaway and close-range tips, Forsberg stood tall. Calgary pressed hard in the third, out-shooting the Kings at times, yet couldn't find the net.
