Kimberley Pine starts to have doubts about her original revengeful plans and starts to form feelings for Augustus and meets him covertly at night in the dungeons when Robert is fast asleep. She explains to Augustus what her plans initially were, much to his intrigue, surprise & disgust, but over time he seems to forgive her and they both fall in love with another. Kim is depressed after Augustus is executed and forms new plans to fix everything again that she originally created.

It seems as though Dr. Daniel Scott has different plans which clash with Kimberley's and he attempts to blackmail her by informing Rob of what both she and Augustus have been up to behind his back. She manages to escape from Dan by travelling through time, but he being a clever individual is hot on her heels.

Kim attempts to influence Octavian's (young Augustus) thoughts for the future to warn him of what is going to happen but Dan gets in the way....again!

She wakes up in a hospital post a scuffle/fight between Octavian and Dan being all confused in the presence of her apparent friend Amy but it appears as though all is not as it seems and Dan is close by yet again!!!! Kim travels through time to escape Dan.
