She built a strong career in entertainment, appearing on shows like A Different World in Baywatch, and performing on Broadway in the 19, 70s and 80s. She became best known as the longtime co-host of Showtime at the Apollo from 1987 to 2002, sharing the stage with stars. Like Steve Harvey, Sinbad, and Monique at Harlem's famous Apollo Theater. Her family shared a heartfelt statement, calling her a chair of sister, auntie, and advocate who brought grace and joy to millions, especially as the Apollo Queen of Fashion.
