Kid Cudi & Ye: Rising from the Ashes

About this episode

Kid Cudi and Ye, a dynamic duo with a complex history, have experienced a rollercoaster of collaborations, tensions, and reconciliations. Their journey began with successful collaborations like Erase Me and Father Stretch My Hands, but was marked by disagreements and public feuds. Despite this, they managed to reunite for projects like Kids See Ghosts and shared moments of camaraderie. However, their relationship hit a low point in 2022 due to Yes Donda 2 controversy. After a heartfelt reconciliation in 2023, Cudi was hurt when Ye included him on a track without warning in 2024. Yet, Cudis recent performance of their joint track Reborn during his Rebel Ragers Tour suggests that their bond continues to endure, proving that their relationship is resilient despite the challenges.

It's April 29th. Welcome in. This is Entertainment and Celebrity News, where pop culture meets AI. I'm Cory with the Story. Kid Cuddy and YA Wagle way back, starting when Cuddy signed to YA Ways Good Music Label in 2008. They dropped fire collabs like Erase Me, Gorgeous, All of the Lights, and Father Stretch My Hands, Part 1, building each other's careers from Cuddy's. Man on the Moon debut, to YA Ways Big Albums. These tensions hit in 2013, when Cuddy left the label on good terms, calling YA Ways a Big Brother, but things soured with gripes over. Features and public shots on social media, by 2016, YA Ways clapped back on stage, then forgave him quick, leading to joint performances amid their mental health battles. They bounced back strong, linking for the Kid Cucos album in 2018, dining with stars in 2019, but exploded. Again in 2022, over YA Ways Don de Toe Drama, tied to Pete Davidson.

Cuddy called it toxic, saying he loved YA Ways, but had to cut ties for his own piece. Fast forward, they hugged it out at a Vultures Listening Party in 2023, with YA Ways apologizing sincerely and Cuddy calling him, family while shouting out in Sano Tracks. But YA Ways snuck Cuddy on Vultures 2 Deluxe, without warning in 2024, leaving Cuddy heartbroken and done. Now, on April 28, 2026, Cuddy opened his Rebel Ragers tour, performing their joint track reborn, dedicating it straight. To YA Ways, proving this bond keeps rising from the ashes, no matter the drama.
