Kentucky Eyeing Hometown Guard Jerone Morton

Now they're eyeing Washington State point guard Jerome Morton, who's set to visit Lexington this Friday. Morton hails from right here in Lexington, coming out of George Rogers Clark High. He was an unranked recruit in the class of 2023, started at Morehead State for two seasons, then transferred to Washington State. His past year, the 6 foot 4, 180 pound guard, put up 7.8 points per game on 43.8 percent. Shooting, including 38.7 from 3, with 2.6 assists and 1.9 boards in 25 minutes. He lit it up against Gonzaga in two matchups, dropping 31 points combined on 10 of 18 shooting, 5 of 9 from deep plus 6, assists and just two turnovers.
