The nation owes him thanks for his service. Right after resigning, he appeared on Tucker Carlson's show to explain his views. Iran has a long track record of hostility toward the United States. Its leaders have called for death to America, and Iranian back groups like Hezbollah carried out a 1983 bombing that killed two, 141 U.S. service members. Over the years, such groups have caused American deaths in places like Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Tanzania, and Israel.
