Kenny Moore Requests Trade, Colts Consider Options

0:00On April 20th, Colt's corner bat Kenny Moore requested a trade earlier this month, and now he's sitting out the team's voluntary off-season workouts. He's in the final year of his contract, set to earn a base salary of $9.49 million, while counting $13.1 million. Against the cap next season, a trade or release before June 1st would save the team $7.06 million, with a $6.05 million cap hit. General manager Chris Ballard spoke highly of Moore, saying the organization and city respect him deeply as a pillar on and off the field. Ballard noted Moore just felt ready for a change, so they're open to making it happen. Moore spent all nine seasons of his career with Indianapolis, earning pro-Bull honors back in 2021.
