JP Crawford Returns for Mariners

Their shortstop JP Crawford is back in action for the first time since February 20th after nursing a sore throwing shoulder. The team took a cautious approach early in camp to avoid any risks. Now he's set to start a shortstop and bat fifth in the lineup with plans to be fully ready by opening day unless something changes. Crawford got picked in the first round by the Philadelphia Phillies back in the 2012 draft. He debuted in the majors with them in 2017, started as shortstop the next year, but injuries limited him before trade to Seattle.
