0:00On March 19th Iowa State Cyclones wrapped up their regular season with a strong 27 wins and seven losses, earning a number two seed in the bus. Midwest Region for the 2026 NCAA Tournament. Forward Joshua Jefferson has been a major factor in that success during his second year with the team. Jefferson stepped up big time this season, boosting his stats across the board and becoming one of the top players nationally. He earned a spot on the Associated Press, all America's second team for his efforts. Head coach TJ Ozzelberger voiced some frustration over that second team nod, believing Jefferson deserved first team honors. The coach pointed to his star's consistent impact and near miss for national player of the year consideration. Jefferson closed out the big 12 tournament on fire, averaging nearly 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, over 2 steals and a block per. Game across three matchups. Those numbers kept career highs in minutes, scoring, rebounding assists, blocks and steals.
