00You're at listening to the official Minnesota wild pond cast presented by Acresure Mike look good. He's you know escaped moved well skating well so it was I think it was good good first day for him. I thought the energy and practice was good but he himself looked comfortable and it was good to see him out there. You see him on the wing and just take draws on that side or I think it'll be a little bit of a moving a moving target so obviously the sentiment is is important but I think he has played wing in center so I wouldn't anticipate that Joe Hansen would be in for the weekend so I think a little bit of giant line juggling I don't necessarily think the lines may be identical tomorrow what they were today but Michael knows how to play in the middle so but I know he has played wing but if he is on the wing it doesn't mean that he wouldn't be used in different situations to take face off. Joe Hansen gonna go on the trip with you. He will not go on the trip. Okay. Checking him with him a day later he was Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah so I think he's gonna need a couple days here so he
01won't be on the trip. Return of Rodin just seeing us and he's about to be expected. Yeah I don't know how the guy does it I mean he's off for so long and then you know doesn't really even have a team practice but I think that he put a lot of work into it our obviously our strength coaches and doctors did a great job and then Andy Ness you know the guys that work with him he's got a big job for us because a lot of times guys are by themselves and you know it's very limited team practices but you know they always come back in good shape you know execution levels high so it was nice to have him back. How much is it a lot of you kind of balanced things on the blue light too with him in Spurgeon and we have he was in favor like you know we have to get over work I guess situation. Yeah yep and I think I mean we feel comfortable with you know all six defensemen playing against against anyone really and like you said I don't I don't think it you know if you want to have a heavier hard match I think you can but if you're on the road and particularly I feel like you have two to three sets that you can use and you feel comfortable with so you know like you said I think it slots everybody in you got lefty ready combos and and you
02know six guys back there you know that I think work well together. What's making a limited practice is you just what's this run like every other day and how much do we do the practice the next few weeks or some back-to-backs mixed in. Pretty good. Yeah you know I think it's it's very similar to really even before the break you know we we didn't have a lot the one thing I will say with our team is I think we're fortunate that we do have a more of a veteran team so you know these guys do a really good job like when we present stuff on video it's our job to try to present the right things and succinct meeting so they clearly understand what we want but this group's ability to translate video to on ice without actually having to walk through it is a huge benefit to us because it allows us to give them sometimes the rest of recovery that they need that were sharp for the games so I think the way this plays out like today was a nice day where we had a day off we could have a good practice you know the next week as you said it gets in the game every other day but then later in the month I think we have like four days off so I think once we when this group usually
04gets into a rhythm of the game every other day I think we start to play some of our best hockey so it's tough to practice you have to try to use sometimes morning skates to get some touches and some feel and maybe to work on something but most of it particularly this time of year you know to make sure that the guys have the energy to play the game that you know we feel is going to give us the chance to win and the work ethic we need it's it's making sure that we're doing the right things with video and then also practice versus recovery and getting ready for the games yeah I like this game I thought he was he was competitive he moved well as you said I think he had for sure to to prime time scoring chances bless you and and I thought he was physical at time so I think it was a good first impression looked good out here again in practice so it's it's it's looks like he's feeling comfortable deadline tomorrow obviously if nothing else happens with this team like how good you feel about the group you guys have right now as it is yeah you know I
05feel really good about the group and you know from from my perspective is that you know you coach the group that you have but you know my my focus usually is is is all we're getting the team to play to an identity that really fits what we feel is going to give us the chance to win and focusing on that if there's more additions and that's great if there's not more additions and we've got a really now at this time of year take what we've done and you got to take it to a new level as far as an identity and a team structure and how you want to play and I also think a big part of it too is whether you add or don't add we've got to try to maximize the individual players potentials as well and I think that in turn drives the team performance to a new level yeah it is and I think that's yeah that's always healthy I think competition is healthy I think depth is going to be really important but but that that competitive internal competition healthy competition that is really important particularly when you're coming in what we got 20 20 games left and as I said I think you know
07the focal point is if we add that's great if we don't if we add or don't add it's really the same mentality I think from the coaching and players perspective is getting ourselves to a higher level I think the fan atmosphere is fantastic I think you know really from November on you know we struggle a little bit not in October and it maybe wasn't the best environment but I think once we got playing the way we needed to play and and gave the fans really something to cheer about and get behind it's been unbelievable I mean sold out buildings you know the fan supports have been fantastic the buildings rocking every night and I think that's you know that always helps down the stretch we got a big homestand coming in and you hope that leads into the playoffs and and you want to have you know your atmosphere in your arena as a competitive advantage and I think our fans have done that for us yeah yeah for sure we've seen seen quite a few you know wild fans
13travel you know I think that's good about you know playing in a hockey market I think that you know some teams they have fans that do travel some don't but I think the wild fans have been good and you know I'm assuming there's probably going to be some in Vegas too usually that's a trip people I want to go see a wild game they go to Vegas so hopefully they'll out force tomorrow night too thanks god thank you all right thank you for an extraordinary advantage in sports you need a game plan for an extraordinary advantage everywhere else all you need is Acroshure with a high-tech human approach to insurance cybersecurity and more Acroshure helps you take care of what you care about that makes winning easy see what Acroshure's extraordinary advantage can do for you at Acroshure.com
