Jets Triumph Over Avalanche, Connor's Milestone Goal

Kyle Connor led the way with a goal and an assist while Alex Iofalo and Cole Perfetti also lit the lamp for the Jets. Connor struck first early in the second period, beating Mackenzie Blackwood with a wrist shot to make it one-nothing. That goal marked his 5th straight 30 goal season, his 8th overall in the league. Mark Schifle picked up two helpers, including the setup on Connor's tally. Iofalo doubled the lead later in the second, when a shot from Schifle bounced right to him at the crease, and he tucked it home. Connor hella bike was sharp in net, turning aside 28 shots to anchor the win. Martin Neck has pulled one back for Colorado late in the third, with a one-timer from the face-off circle. But Perfetti sealed it with an empty netter just after, spoiling hella bike's shut-out bid. The Jets improved to 27 wins, 28 losses, and 10 overtime losses, grabbing points in seven of their last nine games after dropping.
