They just landed safety mechafist Patrick from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 20-26-7th round pick, originally from the Chargers. The Jets plan to sign him to a three-year deal worth $40 million. Earlier this season, they swapped defensive end-dermain Johnson to the Tennessee Titans for defensive tackle to Vandre Sweat. Last year at the trade deadline, they dealt cornerback sauce gardener to the Indian apolis Colts and defensive lineman Quinn and Williams to the Dallas Cowboys. Jets fans and insiders see this as part of a bigger rebuild. The team lacks punch at why receiver, and with four picks in the top 44, they might use one there, but could trade instead. ESPN's Rich Samini points to Indianapolis Colts star, Michael Pittman Jr., and Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Brian Thomas Jr. as trade targets. Pittman has racked up over 5,000 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns over six seasons.
