Jets Target Anzalone, McFadden for Defense

They have also shown interest in Mike McFadden from the New York Giants as a backup option. Both players are set to hit the market soon. Anzalone stands out because Jets head coach Aaron Glenn work with him as defensive coordinator in Detroit. The 31-year-old posted solid stats last season with 95 tackles, two and a half sacks, one interception, and nine passes defense. He is known as a strong leader who excels in run defense, pass rush, and coverage. Meanwhile, the Jets need help at linebacker after a rough year from Jamie and Sherwood, and with Quincy Williams also becoming a free agent. They have plenty of room under the cap with about $74 million available, so money is not a barrier. McFadden has emerged as a starter for the Giants, breaking over 100 tackles the past two seasons and shining as a pass rusher.
