Jets Sign York, Seek Kicker Help

About this episode

The New York Jets are making a change at the kicker position this offseason, replacing Nick Folk with Cade York. York, a fourth-round pick in 2022, has had a tumultuous pro career, bouncing through seven teams since being cut by the Browns. 0:00Welcome to NFL News Today. Two minutes of updates that matter to NFL fans, hit subscribe and stay connected. The New York Jets are shaking up their kicker spot this off season. Veteran Nick Folk, who nailed 28 out of 29 field goals in the 2025 season, left for a two-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons. The Jets wasted no time and signed experienced kicker Kade York to fill the gap. York burst onto the scene as a fourth round picked by the Cleveland Browns in the 2022 NFL draft, coming out of LSU with big hype. His pro career hasn't gone as planned though. After a rough rookie year, the Browns cut him before his second season, and he's bounced through seven teams on rosters or practice squad since then. Right now, the Jets only have York and Rookie, Lenny Krieg, on the kicker roster. Krieg has zero regular season NFL games under his belt, but he did spin last year on the Falcons practice squad. Expect the Jets to hunt for more kicking help soon, just like they did
