NFL free agency kicks off next week, and the New York Jess just made some big moves on player tenders. They locked in defensive tackle Joanne Briggs and linebacker, Marcelino McCrary, ball with exclusive rights offers, keeping them off the market for now. Briggs joined the team in a trade from the Cleveland Browns during training camp and had a breakout season. He posted career highs including 38 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and four sacks while racking up plenty of pressure on quarterbacks. That performance makes him a key piece in the Jets defensive line overhaul this off season, especially as they look to shore up the front. Meanwhile, the Jets passed on tindering wide receiver, Joanne Mechie III, letting him hit free agency. Mechie came over mid-season from the Philadelphia Eagles and started seven games with 29 catches for 256 yards and touchdowns.
