The New York Jets are in desperate need of a quarterback after Justin Fields flopped as starter and back up. Tyrod Taylor failed to impress. Now rumors are swirling that they could target Kyla Murray from the Arizona Cardinals, who might soon be a free agent. Earlier this week, NFL.com's Kevin Patrick fanned the flames by naming the Jets as a top spot for the former number one overall pick. Murray could step right in as the day one starter in New York without blocking their future plans. Fans and analysts see this as a smart bridge move, given the Jets' solid offense already features star receiver Garrett Wilson, dynamic runner Breeze, Hall, and young tackles like Olufashanu and Armand Membo. It would give Murray real weapons to work with right away. Potcher points out that Murray might not match the size preferred by new offensive coordinator Frank Reich, but he's the best available option too.
