Jets Eye Carson Wentz as QB Target

While names like Kyler Murray have surfaced, he's likely headed to the Minnesota Vikings. Instead, reports points of veteran Carson Wentz as a top target in free agency. According to SNY reporter Connor Hughes, the Jets have strong ties to Wentz, especially due their new offensive coordinator, Frank Reich. Sources say Reich prefers Wentz, with one calling him a favorite from past collaborations. Wentz built a solid resume earlier in his career. With the Philadelphia Eagles, he earned a pro bowl nod in 2017 and through for over 16,000 yards. He also had success with the Indianapolis Colts, posting more than 3,000 yards and 27 touchdowns in one season. Last year with the Vikings, the 33-year-old made five starts, going two wins and three losses. He completed 65% of his passes for over 1,000 yards, six touchdowns and five picks.
