Jets' 2026 Mock Draft: Stockpiling Talent

0:00With the NFL today, March 19th. The New York Jets are fully embracing a rebuild for the 2026 NFL Draft after trading away stars like Sauce Gardener and Quinn and Williams. That gives them two first round picks and two in the second round, plus more later on. With Geno Smith at quarterback, they're not pushing for playoffs this year, but stocking up for a big 2027 draft. In this PFF mock draft simulator, the Jets grabble high-state edge-resher Arvel Reese at number two overall. He's an all-American with national title experience and steps right in after they dealt Germaine Johnson. Then at the 16th pick from the Colts trade, they take USC wide receiver Maliki Limon, who had over 1100 yards last season and pairs. Nicely with Garrett Wilson. Things get interesting in the second round, where the Jets lead off by selecting Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson. His stod dropped after a rough rose bowl, but he could sit and learn behind Smith.

1:00They follow with Indiana quarterback, D'Angelo Ponds, using the Cowboys pick, a ball-hawk with five picks and two seasons to help replace Gardener. Later rounds keep the defense strong, with Texas quarterback Malik Muhammad in the fourth. On offense, they add Cincinnati-Titan Joe Royer in the fifth to bolster the position after losing key players there. They wrap up in the 7th with UTSA running back, Robert Henry Jr., a thousand-yard rusher, and Georgia Guard Micah Morris for the interior line.
