Jerry West: The Logo - Final Interviews & Legends Share Stories

0:00On March 24th, a new documentary called Jerry West, the logo premieres on April 16th. It features what are described as the basketball legend's final interviews, plus dozens of fresh stories from his inner circle, like former teammates, close friends, his wife Karen, and his kids. Big names are lining up to share their memories, including Michael Jordan, Karim Abdul-Jabbar, Kevin Durant, Magic Johnson, S-T-E-A, and K-E-R-E, Shaquille, O'Neal, and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. Jerry West earned his spot as the silhouette in the NBA logo through a stellar Lakers career as a player known as Mr. Clutch. He made iconic plays, like that 60-foot shot to tie game 3 of the 1970 NBA Finals against the New York Knicks. Later, he came back as coach and general manager for the team. This project marks a big step for Kenya Barris, the black-ish creator, as his first time directing a documentary. His company, Calabal Inc Society, teams up with Propagate, alongside executive producers like Michelle Deschamps and Hale Rothstein.
