0:00Dear McDonald's, your breakfast menu, fire, tens across the board. I could be happy with anything, even though I ordered the same thing every time. Thanks for not judging me. I'll try something new next time. Maybe. Score a two-for-five-dollar deal in a sausage McMuffin with egg and more. Limited time-only price and participation may vary, cannot be combined with any other offer single-item at regular price. Bada, bada, bada, bada, bada. Check podcasts. Thanks for listening to the Donnie and Dolly Podcast. Catch the show Monday through Friday, 10am to noon on check. I think you're going to want to hear this. Your local sports coverage lives here. Sure would assist to an overly curved super blade to nothing blue with John Taylor. I say that the winner of the draft lottery should be the winner of a two-man loose.
1:00And Rick Dolly Wall. I had a cherry tree up in the little Ricky. I used to go up that tree and just sit there for hours and bunch on those cherry. Years Donnie and Dolly. 10 o'clock in downtown Vancouver, we're in the Paul Carson studio. Thanks for tuning in folks. It's Donnie and Dolly, the team on Check Don Taylor. Along with Rick Dolly Wall, Ryan Henderson is our producer. He's the man at the controls director. He's the voice of God. He's there, cool. How are you? Couldn't be better. Can I answer over the capitals by a score of four, two? What the hell are they thinking? You don't want to mess this 30-second place overall thing up, do they? Stop it. The goal is to win every game, Don. Bottom line. I always think back to 2015 when, and this is when Conor McDavid was going to be available in the franchise. I always remember Buffalo fans openly cheering against the Sabers. Big time.
2:00Because they did not want them to win at all so they could get McDavid. They didn't win the lottery. Oilers did in the rest of history. They got Ikele and we all know what happened with him in Buffalo. But I always remember, I do people actually standing and cheering in Buffalo when the opponent scored a goal against them late in that season. I agree. So it's not that unusual. No, it's not. So four, two connects over the capitals. And the best part of this game for Conor fans, certainly for Adam Foot, was that his team fell down to nothing. Having lost 11 straight games. So he just figured at that point, given his criticism of the veterans on Monday. You know, how things are very negative on the bench slamming doors and, you know, smashing sticks heads down. That sort of thing that that game was over, not the case. And you were saying before the show it's all because of Teddy Bluger and his return.
3:01No, I did not say that, but I will say this. When they went down to nothing, Donnie, I thought it was over. I started writing my game story. I'm not going to lie to you. 12 straight lines. When have you ever written a game story? They've lost 11 straight publications. Donnie, they've lost 11 straight. They're in 32nd place. I wrote the game story. I thought they were done. But not only was it a matter of the connox coming through, but it was it was the veterans. It was better. It was Kane. David Camphett, a very good man. Very good man. Very successful secondaries. A Conor was flying. Bluger, 18 minutes. Let's get to the highlights. Derek, we're good. Rock and roll, my friend. The Rangers Arena Vancouver BC, 8 minutes in. Capitals, 5 on 3. John Carlson and Tom Wilson combined to set up Dylan Strome, Yawning Cage. One nothing. Capitals, DeWashington. Just over a minute later. Cap's now 5 on 4. And Luke who capitalizes the former Vancouver Giant, Justin Sordiff, Pride of Surrey.
4:01There's 5 goals in 6 games. Two nothing. It's Alva. Not so fast. Coho breath. Four minutes after Sordiff's. David Camphett with the steal and the set up to Brock Pass. We're in Sammy, Salo's old number 6. And making it a 2-1 hockey game. His 11th. More Vancouver offense now. What happened to the video? What did you do? Whoa, whoa. And Vander Kane circles. His pass goes in off. A Capitals defender. 2-2. As Adam Foots, much-maligned veterans come through. Drew O'Connor had a strong game for the home team. Exhibit A. Second period. Again, as David Camphett with the set up between the legs. Drew O'Connor. No relation to Shaneid. Drew O'Connor has 12 goals. 3-2. Connects. Who are these guys? Connects here. Breakout 2-1. Philip Horonick. Left side to Jake Dupras. Back to Horonick. And in Horonickian fashion. Something like that. He ripples. Smash. Caps would add a late goal. But the Connects hang on. Vancouver Overwatch. He's in 4-3. Connects hosted Devils on Friday.
5:01Shaneid O'Connor for those don't remember. She had a great love song. Nothing compares to you. Written by? Written by Prince? Yes. Yes, Prince wrote that. But it was a big hit for her. It's amazing how quickly you can Google things up. Hey, stop it. The late Shaneid O'Connor. The late Shaneid O'Connor. But in the 90s, that was a big song. Big song. Huge. Remember her ripping up the paper on Saturday Night Live? Yes, I remember that. I'm sort of anti-religion protest at Drew O'Connor. From what we know, no relation to Shaneid O'Connor. No. Or Carol O'Connor as we brought up earlier this week. There's three people out there who know who we're talking about. Exactly. Okay, let's focus on an O'Connor. Drew O'Connor. I thought he was really good last night. I was surprised like fast and dangerous. The start of the third period. What do you get? Like three or four shots in the space of a minute. I was surprised he played only 12-51 last night. Yeah. I really noticed him last night.
6:01Where I noticed him the most is 4-check. When you got a big, strong, fast guy like that coming down on you, he wreaks havoc for defensemen in their own zone on the other team. He's a great 4-checker. He's a guy that right now. His name's out there too, Donnie. And let's be honest. For what? What do you mean? Trains. Teams are calling on O'Connor. You know, he's got a short-term deal. He fits the cap for a lot of teams. And you want him on a town. I don't want him up. Tell him yet. I didn't say that. He's names out there. He's a good fit for playoff teams, Donnie. Big, strong guy. Philadelphia. One of the smallest teams in the NHL would love a guy like that size being served in head coach. And an assistant coach in Philadelphia who would know a thing or two about true O'Connor. And I just wonder what people think of that deal where they gave up the first round pick. The kind of thing to give up that first round pick. For Marcus Patterson. And I think a lot of people would say that Drew O'Connor has been at the very least just as impressive as Marcus Patterson,
7:03who's come under a lot of criticism this year. Oh, yes. And don't forget O'Connor scored 16 goals in one year of Pittsburgh. You brought that up today. I can look that up. He could score. Yeah. He could score. This guy. I think so. Yeah, he's a good guy. Drew O'Connor. But keep an eye on him. I think teams are going to be looking at him. So that's the first win of the calendar year 2026 for the Vancouver Connection. Oh. Their first home win since December 6th. Just five home wins overall. Rick. Sad. That we're in January. What is 22nd today? They got five home wins. Sad. Very sad. Is it sad? Of course it's sad. What are you talking about? You want a home record like that? Let's get to the... Well, I heard it back to what we talked about earlier. Oh, right. You know. 32nd at this point, you're rebuilding. Might just be okay. Yeah. Might just be okay. So that leads to our Waddling Dog poll question. We want to introduce it a little early today. Because we do have three guests. So the Waddling Dog poll question.
8:04Experience one of Victoria's iconic destinations. Everybody's driven by the Waddling Dog poll. Oh, who has... Sleep, sip, stock up. All in one legendary spot. Come sit and stay. At the dog. Today. Right. Waddling Dog poll question. What was your main reaction to the conox ending? They're 11 game losing streak last night. Glad it's over. Or don't mess with the tank. Look at this. 487 votes. It's starting to hop and pop. But this is close to 50%. 56% say glad the losing streak's over. But 44% say, hey. Don't mess with the tank. Don't mess with the tank. And I have to say in my household, who was my family watching that game, we were all... had mixed reactions. Like... Well, nice goal. Philip Perron, two out of one with their prospect. I hate to say this, but do you want them to win? Well... 32nd. And the best chance at a player like Gavin McKenna just seems like the right way to go.
9:05But tell the players that. They're not going to listen. Here's the problem, Doc. Do you want them to lose every game from here and in? How do you develop young players? In a losing mentality. How do young kids sit there and go to the rink every day? They're talking about from a fan's perspective. Talking about... You got to win some. You could still finish it 32nd. But you got to keep an eye on those young kids. You don't want them in a losing environment that bad. Maybe they'll win more if they get the first overall draft pick next year. But that in your pipe. Yeah. And smoke it. Okay, let's hear from the players. I want to talk maybe in our open segment, a little bit about Philip Perronik, who's coming out of his shell. I think he watches this show. And we've been criticizing him. I don't say we. You put in the W there. You put in yourself. I love Philip Perronik. I think he's that two on one goal last night. That was a beautiful goal. Let's hear from him now. We'll save the other clips for later. But Rick, he was like a jerk to the media.
10:09A Paterson. A Paterson long ago. Jeff Patterson. And you were siding with the well pay millionaire, cranky hockey player versus a friend of ours. And that was two years ago. That was two years ago. I hold the grudge like nobody. And Moj is the only person who holds the grudge more. Oh, I know Moj is grudges. Believe me. But that was one of our brethren there. And you're okay with that. That was two years ago. I stuck up for Patterson at the time. But this guy is doing good stuff since he used life. Let's hear from you. We've got this, Derek. Philip Perronik. Post game. You know, it's big relief after I don't know how many losses we had. It's big for like mental side of the things. And you have to keep that on. How about the performance from the group especially going down early and battling back after some of the things your head coach had talked about? The other guy. Yeah, it was nice. We battled back after this court. Two quick ones on the power play. And we didn't give up. So that was nice.
11:09Can you say about the pass from Jake on your goal? Yeah, it was the best pass. Smiling away and enjoying the company of reporters. Yeah, like that. Now of interest here. Yeah. They've trotted after a long absence is the infamous Patterson. Patterson gate. We'll call it. Okay. They've trotted them out twice to talk to the media. Yeah, I wonder why. In the last week or so. I wonder why. Well, you tell me what's going on. You know, people are saying that, you know, he's the leading candidate to be the new captain of the connox. I wouldn't surprise me. You've had zero energy in your voice. What do you want me to do, Don? Jump on the table? I would prefer that. Yeah. I can't do a table dance for you. I mean, I'm talking. We don't want that. Table dances. But listen, he could be the new captain. I mean, you know, I've certainly heard a couple of people tell me. Okay. And the reason I bring this up is because you bring it up a lot that Philip Hornic is going to be the next captain.
12:10It would be that. I didn't say he is. I'm saying there's several, but people are saying, you know, don't be surprised. Well, you know what? He has been so, he's been, you know what? In reality, forget how he deals with reporters. He has been a very impressive hockey player since coming over from Detroit. But especially so since Quinn, he was left. Remember all the talk about Philip Hornic and he was paired with Quinn Hughes. And the big question was, what? Could he, could he handle his own pairing? Right? He's doing it. And he said, no problem with that at all. You know, and out, tons of ice time. Very noticeable out there, both defensively and offensively on the power play, penalty killing. He was on the five on three. It didn't work out, but there's so much trust in him from Adam foot and the whole coaching staff. I'm with you. I think he is, you know, if you had to pick a candidate, he is the number one candidate. The big question is, do they need a captain right now? Yeah. Do you really, do you really want to, is it that important to name a captain?
13:11I know old school people, maybe like myself, but so you've got to have a captain. I'm not so sure you do. It's happened before where teams don't have a captain. Well, maybe they do it in the off season. Didn't they do Horvath in the off season? Didn't they do what often happens in the off season? They picked him in the in the summer. Yeah. And then they announced it a training camp. Maybe they do that. But he's been good. Did you see him smiling? Did you see Debrusk when he set him up and they went to hug each other? The smile, the lap. But they just scored a goal. Don, they scored goals when they're losing. They, they, they, I saw, I saw. They were, they scored a goal and they were winning. So yeah, they were smiling. It was a beautiful goal. It was a two on one. Debrusk has been jumping up. Debrusk smiles. You know, last night. Donnie, the vets had fun last night. You know, they had fun last night. Yeah. But he's been great. Oh. You know, in all seriousness. I don't know. He, he has been absolutely great. And again, the, the veterans coming here.
14:11Like I, down to nothing else. I'll say it again. It's like a game over. You know, the vets are going to sag. The team's going to sag. But the exact opposite happens. So look, a positive for the vets. Ah! Positive. It's talking positively about the connoisseurs. You took your positivity pills? It's more. It can happen. Okay. Here's what's coming up on the show. As I mentioned, we have three guests today. So we got a boogie as they used to say in 1973. DTMZ. Is it just me coming up in the 11 o'clock hour? Just after 11 o'clock, J.P. Barry is going to join us from C.A.A. Representing several national hockey league players, including several members of the Vancouver Cox, including a player who has had rumors swirling around him seemingly forever. Elias Patterson. Yeah. And all those people out there that got Patterson out of here. Oh, there's teams are pretty. Including you. Last drop. And teams are breaking down the door, apparently, to get Patterson. J.P. gives you some insight. Hold up.
15:11Put on the brakes. We recorded that interview about an hour ago. Yeah. J.P. an hour ago. OK. So J.P. Barry also represents Filipino. Tyler Myers. Tyler Myers, as well. David Camp. David Camp. And Dougie Hamilton. You asked about that. You asked about the Devils on Friday. Good. Good update on Dougie Hamilton. Big ride. The Twitter guy coming up later this hour. The Vancouver Golden Eyes played their first game in a... What is it? Their first game at the Colosseum. They've been on the road. They haven't played a game at the Colosseum. I believe it's just the 20th. I hate that. They played tonight against Toronto. Well, look. There's only two teams in the West. So when they go back, they have to stay there for a while. Yeah. But they're also playing those neutral-site games too. Take over tour games. They've played one in Edmonton. I don't like that. So Jen Gardner from the Golden Eyes has joined us before. Right? Yeah. She's just a delight to talk to. We recorded that interview yesterday. Actually, she's going to join us at around 1030 to talk about the Golden Eyes who play the Toronto
16:11Sectors whom they lost to in Toronto last weekend. That game tonight at the Colosseum. And up next. And, boy, I wonder what he's going to be doing on the weekend. He loves his football. Oh. Farhan Longie. He'll be in Seattle to cover the Seahawks and the Rams. NFC conference final. Farhan Longie to talk football. Maybe a little bit of hockey as well. He's next. This is so true. Keep in mind, Donnie and Rick. The vast majority of fans would every day of the week take the player's side over the media. Oh, for sure. For sure. Very aware of that. I'm loyal. Yeah. I'm loyal to the brethren. You're not. Stop by defendant Patterson two years ago. I defend all media guys. Except the guy coming on. But anyways, I defend all media guys. Farhan Lawsie joins us now from T.S. San Rams and Seahawks. Sunday in Seattle. Farhan will be there. Thanks for doing this, sir. How are you? Good. I'm just down there yesterday. And I'm looking forward to the weekend. It should be a lot of fun. It feels like just yesterday. They were, you know, Russell Wilson was running around in circles throwing up a prayer to Luke Wilson. And the Seahawks had this epic comeback and got back to the Super Bowl.
19:15And it's been a minute since. Yeah. No kidding. No kidding. They look unbeatable, Farhan. The Seahawks. Would you agree with that? I look really good. You know, their defense looks unbeatable. And, you know, when you look at the way that group is playing right now. I mean, you know, certainly the best institutional boom led the NFL and scoring defense. They haven't, they've given up 22 points this year. 22 or more twice in 17, 18 games, which include the playoff game. So what they're doing right now in the defensive side of the ball and they're healthy is just wild. And a lot of people thought with Mike McDonald and the way they were building out that defense that this was possible. And they're living up to it offensively. As long as, you know, Sam Darnell doesn't do crazy things, which he hasn't the last couple of games that I think they'll be in good shape. Although he's done crazy things if you want to categorize it that way against the Rams. There've been turnover issues. Is there a, is there an obvious, and I know Zach Charbonne is out, but is there an obvious Seattle weakness that the Rams can capitalize on? Well, I just think that's it, right? I mean, it's just the case of turnovers.
20:15Yeah, really without that, there's not a lot of weaknesses. I mean, there've been some really explosive moments for Darnell in that offense. They are top 10 offense in the league. And when Jackson Smith and Jigba hasn't gone, it's great. Now Cooper pumps come alive. Rashid Shaheed's been added to that mix. And the run game the last month is really come alive. And even without Zach Charbonne for the majority of that San Francisco game. Kenneth Walker was outstanding, right? And he's motivated right now. He's in the final year of his contract. He's got two more games in the Seattle Seahawk under this deal. Max. So he's got a lot to play for. So, you know, and I think in the case of Darnell, you know, he looks relatively healthy, right? I mean, they're going to limit him during the weekend practice. But he's capable. He's got all the talent. He's just got to, you know, make sure he's not, he's not making wrong decisions. And when you look at the six interceptions, he threw those two games like every one of those, you would shake your head at. I mean, as much as you want to give credit to the Rams, those were Darnell mistakes. So if you can avoid that, which he has the last few weeks, I think they'll be just fine. I can't imagine the pressure on Jarrett Stidham.
21:15I can't imagine, you know, what this guy's going. He hasn't thrown a pass all year. I think, what is this guy going through right now in this week? And like, how can they help him? And, you know, do they keep it simple? Like, I mean, I feel for the guy. Well, it's fair, Rick. But, you know, at the end of the day, there's two ways to look at that. Because you could look at Jarrett Stidham and say, there's no pressure because who's expecting anything? Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. Right. I understand Denver is at home. But for all the reasons you outlined, Jarrett Stidham can't fail this week. And I mean, you know, certainly can throw four or seven seconds. And they can say, we don't even want you around here as a backup. But I don't know that that's going to happen. And this is a team that relies on defense. So they're going to ask him to gain manage. I mean, look, I was a big paint man and guy. But when when they won the Super Bowl in Denver with paint manning as the quarterback, he was the ultimate game manager. Right. The entire offense that year was designed or when he was playing. Because he was missing most of the year with health issues. When he played in the playoffs, the entire offense was designed to hand the ball off,
22:17turn the game over to the defense. You know, you eventually are going to get some shortfields. You can take advantage of don't mess it up. And I think that's going to be the book on Stidham. Well, you look at the four teams that are in the playoffs right now. You know, as good as Drake May is playing and certain members of the CEOX offense are playing. These three of the four teams outside of the Rams are built on defense. If they're going to win, it's going to be because of elite defense. And I think that's got to be Denver's formula. You know, I see some veterans in Buffalo not happy that the head coach was fired. Sean McDermott. Should he have been fired? No, Sean McDermott has done some really good things with that team. And I think that was a flawed roster. I felt coming into the year and throughout the year that this was a team that was entirely carried by Josh Allen. And James Cook was fine. The defense got better late. But man for man, you look at that personnel. There's holes all over the defense too. I think this was just a case of Brandon being saving his job and, you know, being close to the owner, right? Like that's who the owner watches games with. That's who he's constantly hearing. So, you know, and we've seen those examples in our own market, right?
23:21When Jim Benning saved his job ahead of Trevor Lyndon. We've seen it in Seattle when John Schneider saved his job ahead of Pete Carroll. And I'm not, you know, you can look at what happened with Mike McDonald. And Pete Carroll and Sean, sorry. Josh Schneider made the right decision, right? But those things happen in sports, right? Especially when owners are more and more involved. It's not like the old days where they just completely handed it to their management groups and let them do everything. So you're seeing situations where certain members of the management team Curry's favor. And yeah, I mean, this was, this was bean and Pagula just pointing the finger at Sean McDermott in that press conference. And if I'm a player, I would be pissed. Because I think Sean McDermott has got everything he can out of that roster. People will say he's wasted Josh Allen. He's in a waste of Josh Allen. Look at the receiving core. Yeah. Yeah. And speaking of owners, the owner here, the hockey team, can't be happy. They're in 32nd place. What's happening? What's happening? You're talking owners. I'm done. He can't be happy. Well, he sure was.
24:21He sure was. Well, you're talking owners. I'm done. He can't be happy. Well, he sure was. Well, he sure was. They weren't supposed to be in 32nd place. And there you have it. The worst segue. That's your brush. I know. No, no. You're right. And so we've talked about this before about how now they're rebuilding. And they're going to spin this and say, this is all a good thing. And it is a good thing, right? I mean, we know they need to legitimately rebuild. We know they need to be patient. Well, but you know the owners doing this begrudgingly, right? Exactly. He's not happy. He's kind of forced to do this. Whether that's going to lead to change at the presidential role or the GM role, you know, we'll see. But don't go down this road without having a plan for how you're going to go down this road, right? Yeah. You know, and I get a chuckle out of them saying, well, we've been in a rebuild for two years. No. No. Right? That's not why you went out of Andrew Cain and signed for a budget of the money you did. And like, it's wild. That's how it's trying to be spun. But yeah. Correct. He's not happy. He's begrudgingly doing it. And they were after Nazim Kaudrey in November. Does that sound like a team in a rebuild?
25:22No. Hey, Frank, we get back to football for a second and the bills. I think we were going to talk about Phil Herronik based on your segue coming into this. Let's talk about what we can still do that. We have a little bit of time. We've got lots of time. I want your take on the McMillan interception or the cooks. Catch whatever way you want to look at it. You're a football guy. Right? You know, roster was the roster felt it was the right call. I think it was the right call. And I think it was a really close call. Yeah, because I just think there's a process of surviving contact to the ground and that didn't happen. Right? Like the ball came out. And I just think it was a play that was so close legitimately close that replay wasn't going to overturn it. Right? And that's kind of the way it should be. Right? Like officials need to make calls, not rely on replay. And then replays got to be sure those calls are wrong. So, you know, I was just at the CFL meetings, right? And I had a chance to talk to a lot of the people after. And clear and obvious just depends on what side of the line you're on.
26:24Right? Like that's the hard part about it is that if you talk to coaches in a vacuum, they don't want more replay. They don't want more intrusion. You know, they want to get to call right, but they'd rather have game flow. And they'd rather have a level of consistency. But, you know, really, the level of obvious comes down to what side of the line you're on. So Sean McDermott was live it afterwards. Yeah. You know, because he thought it was an obvious play, but it clearly wasn't. Right? And for me, I just don't think he survived contact. You know, that he lands and then he rolls. And before he completed the role, the ball came out. Right? And I think that's part of the process of getting to the ground. So I thought it was a good call. I, you know, but I don't know how anybody could say it was an egregious call. Right? It was close and replay shouldn't have overturned it, which it didn't. Do you think there, there would have been a big complaint had it gone the other way? I think it would have been the same thing, right? Yeah. Because you could make the case from the bill's perspective that it was close that his, you know, his backside hit the ground before the ball came out.
27:25Was that enough? And again, replay shouldn't have overturned it if they had ruled it a catch. Okay. Would you want to say about Philip Rohnick? Yeah. Mr. Dugan is talking about it and you know what fans are going to take sides over the media. What, what's your take on the idea of Phil Rohnick being the next captain of the Vancouver Connect? I don't think they have to, I think Rick and I disagree on this, but I don't think they have to name a captain right now. Because I think they're captain of the future probably has yet to join the organization. Or, you know, maybe it's cool. So I'm not really sure. Yeah. I don't think it's essential. And I'm not sure that Philip Rohnick, despite the fact he's been frauded out to the media twice in the last week or so, I'm not so sure he would be a big fan of that part of the role. Yeah. I think you're right. I think he'd be really poor at that part of the role. And I think there's moments where Rohnick has been good. Yeah. So I think when he's, I think when he's bad, it's a choice. Right? Like I used to say this about Bella check that at the end of the season when he won the Super Bowl, he would talk great. So when he got a TV job, I knew he'd be good at it because it was then a choice.
28:25And that was who's paying a salary. Philip Rohnick chooses to be this way. However, I like it. It's such a great place. I just don't, he's a good player. And I don't take our role seriously enough that I think that that has to be the primary reason for naming a captain. Right? I think he's got to know that his job is going to require this frequently. And hopefully he gets better at it because the entire organization looks bad when he behaves and chooses to carry himself, himself the way he does. So I would hope that would change a little bit. But so I just don't think that should be the single biggest factor, oh, that he's not good in front of the media. He's good in the room and can actually lead and get the best out of the guys. I think that should be number one. Number two, though, I do agree with you. I think this team doesn't have a core. Right? We knew who the core was previously. They're in the midst of entirely turning over that core. So until the core is established, I don't know that there's a need to name a captain. So don't do it early because then at some point you got, you might have to take it away from a guy. And I think that's the bad look. And they're done that.
29:25Yeah. So I think you should take some time, really figure out what your core is going to be. And for another year, all of next season, they're listing a bunch of A's. Well, that's the way it goes. Right? Because this team is not solidified enough to really need to be branded by a captain. I take you seriously. I take your job seriously. I certainly do every Thursday, far ahead. You know what I mean? Like I take my job seriously. I just don't think we need to take that part of his role that that's the single biggest factor in terms of determining a captain. Oh, no, it shouldn't be. Yeah, it shouldn't be. If we say that, then we're taking ourselves too seriously. And that's what it shouldn't. We shouldn't be doing that. Trust me. We hear about how we shouldn't take ourselves seriously every day in our inbox. Ha! Farhan, thanks for this. But everybody watches and follows. Well, I wish everybody watches. Yeah, I know. Only on Thursdays they do. Farhan, thanks for this. There you go. See you boys have a good weekend and enjoy the game Sunday. You bet. Safe travels down to Seattle. He'll be there. What a Sunday it's going to be. Oh. For the National Football League.
30:25On the coach, all right. All right. A break and we'll talk to Jen Gartner, the Vancouver Goldenize. They played tonight against Toronto at the Coliseum. She's next. And if we have time, we'll update the poll question. Donnie Delay, the team will check. Thursday. And as mentioned, all of our guests today brought to you by the Vancouver Giants University 25 Giants in Prince George for a pair of games this weekend. They return home for a pair of games next weekend against Colona and Red Deer. Visit VancouverGiants.com for ticket details and info. We're getting a lot of response or a lot of requests in the inbox. The Bayside Ocean Front Resort in Parksville. In inbox about the simulator. We teased it yesterday. Yeah, we did. We did. We didn't do it yesterday. We're getting requests again today. I just don't know. I don't know how you feel about this, Ryan.
31:25But running it after a win doesn't seem right. Yeah. Right? That's a good point. We should have did it yesterday. You want to do it when they're headed downward. And they are in 30 second place for one day at least. They can't get any more downward than that. Well, they went up for 24 hours at least. Or at least 48. They play New Jersey tomorrow. Host New Jersey tomorrow at Rogers Arena. So we'll put a hold on the draft lottery simulator for now. Okay. What do you think? Good idea. Okay. Meanwhile, there is a game going on tonight. At the Connection Old Stomp and Grounds. Yeah. The Pacific Colosseum Vancouver Gold Nies have returned to Vancouver after a lengthy Eastern road trip. They take on the Toronto Sceptors tonight at the Colosseum. And they lost to Toronto in Toronto last weekend, 2-1 in overtime, if I'm not mistaken. And yesterday we recorded an interview with Pride of Surrey, Jen Gardner.
32:25Yeah. What a great energy. She's been on her show before, forward with the Golden Eyes. And we started the conversation by asking Jen about this, because when we talked to her yesterday, they just got off the practice ice at the Colosseum. Yeah. Do you know that they practice at the Colosseum? And they've got a practice facility across the street at the... Agridome. Agridome. Someone else is looking for a practice facility, right? Yeah. So the Golden Eyes ahead of the Connection, at least in that category. So we asked Jen about how nice it is to have the Colosseum and the Agridome at their disposal for practices. Oh my gosh. We're so lucky when you look around the entire PWHL. I mean, we're so fortunate to have what we have here at the Colosseum. And for the P&E to host us on their grounds, it's incredible. I'm so, so grateful to just look around the rank and have our logo everywhere. And we're actually fortunate we get to practice on the Colosseum quite often. So I think it sets us up for game success here at home.
33:26And you haven't played a game at the Colosseum, however, since December 20th. How nice is it to be back home and did you have a hard time finding the place today? Oh my gosh. Yeah, it felt so good when we first walked in here after our road trip. And just a lot of games. Oh, it was so nice and refreshing to be back here in our locker room in our space. And just kind of getting our feet under ourself here in Vancouver. I think everybody's happy to be home and excited for the game tomorrow night. And what the fans are going to bring for us. It's going to be rocking. Not everyone gets to play pro hockey in front of family of friends. I remember the first game sold out. You had family there. They were being interviewed on TV. It was great. How good is it to play at home? Oh my gosh. It's more than a dream come true. I mean, I just never even saw this becoming reality. Like, my dream growing up was to be linemates with with the sedans. And so to get to play female hockey professionally. And this is my life. Every single day. It's it's incredible. Like there's not a lot of words to describe it. And I think it's just so special to get to share this journey with so many people.
34:28And all everybody who's helped me got me to where I am today. And so just every single home game and every day that I get to wear the gold and nice logo, just incredibly grateful. Expansion team. No surprise. Scoring goals has been tough. 22 tied with Seattle for the least amount. What has to happen for you guys to score more? Yeah, I think just sticking to our game plan. I think it's still early on in the season in the sense of figuring out our systems and figuring out how each other play. It's not easy to put it together and kind of glue on the ice and create those chemistry and those lines and those combinations that are going to work automatically right off the bat. I think continuously just trying to do what we can and control our playing style and our grit, our computer, physicality. And that's all going to lead to success here in the future. And trusting in the staff to put a put a structure in place that we can follow that's going to get us some offensive success here. Well, it's all you wear successes. It's in the stands. Vancouver leads the league in attendance of 11,000 plus every game. How cool is that? Oh my gosh. Like there's nothing that compares to it.
35:29I think it's so special for me just to know that I a lot of those 11,000 are very familiar. And but just to hear the people that travel near and far, there's fans that come from all over like up north, they're taking flights in for every home game. Like that's how special it is out here on the west coast. And that's what hockey here in Vancouver means to them. And so I mean, I knew that hockey and the fans were always out here. So I'm just so happy that the whole world can now see it on television every night. One of your teammates said about you, you have to claw her off the ice. She just practices for hours and hours. Is that just the passion of the game? Yeah, a little bit. I did have to claw. I get clawed off the ice to come here and chat with you guys. No. But it was, yeah, I mean, I just love being on the ice, especially like just the environment that we get to be in. Like this is my life. My job is to play hockey on a daily basis. Like it's incredible. And so I think just taking all the extra time that I can to kind of develop those little tools in my game. But at the end of the day, I'm having so much fun doing it and playing hockey. And so, yeah, I definitely like to be spent a lot of time at the rink.
36:33We're talking with the Jen Garden of the Golden Ice. That name was really grown on me by, by the way. A six player trade between Vancouver and Ottawa. Do you understand your organization is thinking there, Jen? Um, yeah, I think just the reality of this league in general. It is a business. I think we're all kind of aware that changes can be made at any time. And at the end of the day, like our organization is just doing what's best for our team. And I think at this moment, depending on what that move was, I think we're just excited to kind of continue and see what success we can find and see where these new players can fit in with some chemistry here. Obviously brought in some talent, some hard workers and some incredible people as well. And so just excited, but kind of just doing whatever we can to help them feel comfortable right off the bat. And welcome them with open arms, just like we did with everyone else. So off the subject, can you put into words, how excited you are to be able to represent Canada at the Olympics in Italy? Um, no, I cannot put it into words.
37:33Just when like I thought life was so good getting to play here in Vancouver and being part of the Golden Ice, just being named to the Olympic team. It's, um, it's just that, that dream you've wanted your entire life, that, that moment and being a part of that roster that you've just been chasing. Um, it doesn't really feel like something that has sunk in yet. I think just with the season, the traveling with 13 here in Vancouver, I don't think I've really understood around my head around the fact that I will be going to Milan. So kind of maybe take a couple of minutes here in the next couple of days to reflect on that. And just, yeah, it's, it's really cool. We actually had a dinner with Cammy Grenada last night and Sarah nurse and, um, just talking with them last night about their memories and their experiences and kind of just envision envisioning myself in there. She was, it's pretty cool. Why would you have dinner with Cammy? She's, she, she wants the American. Don't give her any secrets. As the assistant, she ever, they can actually doesn't support us here and love, she loves the gold knives and loves women talking in.
38:34I mean, it's pretty cool to see what she has gone through as a player and to for her to look back and be proud of the trailer. She blazed as well for us to get here today. It was pretty cool. And women's hockey is such a good state right now. The PWL is on stand to watch live and on television and then the Olympics are coming up. Jen, we can't thank you enough. Really appreciate it. Best of luck tonight and the rest of the hockey season. Thank you guys so much. Hopefully you can make it out to a game soon. Yes, we will. We will. Thanks guys. Jen Gardner, you're going out there for it for the Vancouver gold. Nice tonight at the call. See him against Toronto. If they wouldn't take four weeks off between games, maybe I could go down. Well, there's a thing called a schedule. You can look at and plan things accordingly. She is likable, well spoken. I wish every athlete was like her. Sadly, that's not the case in the city. Yeah, I know. We were talking about that while that interview was running. You know, they're not making it. They're not.
39:34I'm going to guess not a ton of money there and they're just selling the product that way. You know, happy to be interviewed to talk about their sport. And you know, these guys making gazillions of dollars. Cranky. The thing or two and ripping the media, all these, we know who they are. And yet. And yet you're on their side stop it we get off my back about that. I was on. I was on Patterson side two years ago. All right, meanwhile, so business in our thanks to Jen A Tuesday, able auctions will sell the contents of a closed cabinet shop with all major equipment manufactured in 2023 and in near a new condition. Yeah, he's doing connox games Absolutely nothing against anybody. No, no, no, no, no, no, amazing career uh You guys talked about it's earlier with Farhan big game Sunday NFC championship Seahawks Rams. How about this? Okay Heading into Sunday. This is the Adams chapter heading into Sunday's NFC championship championship game Rams Seahawks. This is the last. This is just the last four matchups. Okay, the Rams and Seahawks points scored 109 for the Rams 107 for the Seahawks yards 1500 and 99 for the Rams
47:551500 and 89 for the Seahawks They split the two meetings two and two the historical records that haven't been backed up by the NFL Show this being an incredibly tight matchup like going back from their first time meeting against each other So I mean this is this is fate honestly a lot of people and yet I know what he will be surprised if the Seahawks blow them out Ah Blow them out. I think people would be surprised Blow them out because the seeds I agree with for next one is weak. The seeds. I don't put stock in the seats Given what they did to the 49 I'm minding the 49ers were a walking match unit. I mean like this is This is a way different team and I'm trying to have the Rams blown you away If they really impressed you so far look at I mean they almost coughed it up and see how it's half They almost coughed it up against Chicago. Yeah, let's be honest the Bears probably should be traveling to Loom in to take on the Seahawks, but they didn't this is the matchup you want This is absolutely and everybody's calling it the Super Bowl before the Super Bowl
48:58And and I understand why with the the quarterback situation yesterday you ran the stat about Ticket to man. Yes, tick pick had a massive discrepancy between listening to Radio stations yesterday. What serious? Boy Patriots Broncos is not getting a lot of place. No, no The winner is here the Super Bowl. Yeah, I think so. What's the weather calling on I think it's supposed to be the same He's supposed to be sunny throughout the entire weekend. Just really cool cool. Yeah, it's gonna be cold Just cold. Yeah, yeah, but but different than what they dealt with in Chicago last weekend Chicago I bet Seattle's warmer than Chicago last weekend, and there's no. Oh, yeah, I love that you hate that no No, no, you do Off the air. You're not a fan of that and I'm telling you right now That's how what I said back in the day when they I'm going old man here again. Yes back in the day Yes, when you didn't have your coverage stadiums. Yes, the pictures that came out of those snow games
49:59Yes, we're more regular in the NFL back in the day created a lot of NFL fans sure it was incredible I said the Chicago game was the perfect amount of snow a full snow dumping game They're the games are not good. Nobody can get a great Unpretentable. They're great to watch Is that it? No, I don't gamble at all, but they end up being like four like 11 to four Some of the best break up games have been in the snow no the tuck rule Maybe good endings memorable endings all of that. Yeah again memorable ending good game No, the game suck the slide all over the place. It's fun to watch. No, it's not I don't want now. I will say the epidemic of domes coming to the NFL is not good for the And I got a buffalo buffalo. Yeah, buffalo is saying screw it We're going to use it to the advantage, but the renderings are to Chicago dome Rendings are I don't know if you see these new Washington the commander stadium. By the way, it looks beautiful But they're talking about a glass roof Minnesota bucks me
50:59Yeah, but okay, what in Minnesota get out of that They hosted a Super Bowl. Yeah, there's a lot of money. So that's right. That's where you're at You're very corporate. Okay. You relate to the richest people amongst us. Yeah, I don't here's another Like there's another all about money for you. Here's another reason Taylor Swift went to Minnesota She ain't going to Minnesota if that's an uncovered building at least you obviously you love BC place Well, yeah, because the one thing I was saying yes, I heard you complied Because you place because it's too big. It's too big. Yeah, but you get Taylor Swift. You get Paul McCartney Well, because it's also covered Yeah, because it's so because of that you get the right with the donut. Yeah, whatever But yeah, I mean I I just missed I know what you're saying NFL films back in the day The snow and the cold of great. It was awesome. It created a lot of fans. You're just a negative nanny Who doesn't like find me negative? It's just you don't get it's not what are you talking about? It's visually So it's beautiful
52:00And even I feel the same way about hockey all the arenas look the same When they when they ring for the size demand when the dimensions of the rank were different all around the NHL Yeah, I love it. It's like it a character. Yeah, I'm looking forward to Italy Let me run this clip quickly. We're up against it, but because you're talking on and on about NFL films Did you guys see this drink may throw in the snow? This is great. So everybody was blowing this clip up because of how amazingly This thing was shot the ball goes that's old. He saw that every week back in the day and the way it's covered. It's just Yes, okay, but again This is the perfect amount of snow look at the ground. It's not covered in the snow snow is coming down But the game can still operate that I'm fine with dumping down snow Edmund didn't great. Oh come on if I see a game in the snow if you just see like a game Say regular season, okay You see a game doesn't mean much, but it's in the snow. Okay, a lot of snow You stop and you watch that Regular season you do the same thing regular season playoff. Sure. No playoff's too. Yes, champion. Yes. No, I don't want it
53:04You're just the no fun zone. That's right. It's the old thing. It's the same for both teams exactly Yeah, but yeah, yes and no, I mean look at LA was not equipped at all the Rams aren't equipped that stuff about it Oh team from you know L.A. is it's it's just advantage versus a team against Minnesota Not all not all the players know sunshine, but L.A. is predominantly L.A. boys One of the best lines games. It's nice. McManage to Flutey Calgary snow again. I guess. I guess so I'm How is that? How is that a memorable ending you're talking? It was a great game and included a comeback great block for Ray Alexander. There was a lot going on in that game Stop rise stop 94. How old were you? I was three two end of argument. That was the game. I was at the game Yeah, he was in Calgary. Yeah Silence up next agent to the stars. He and he loves to snow apparently as well. JP Berry is on the program next He's going to talk about Patterson, Heetle, Myers and much more. It's Donnie Donnie the team on check

55:10Clients include Connex Elias Patterson, Tyler Myers, Philip Heel, David Kamp, and others all around the national hockey JP. Thanks for doing this sir. How are you? Good morning for you guys. I guess good afternoon for me. Yeah Hey, what do you what do you make of all this talk regarding Elias Patterson possibly being moved by the Vancouver Connex? Well, I mean, I take it with a great assault because I mean when a team isn't doing well then Everybody's going to be discussed and And we've talked about in the past. It's always hard for us when it's a player who has a no move, but that's the reality of You know where things are when things don't go well. So You know for us, we know it's not real unless you know the GM is calling us and saying that there's there's an actual team or a deal and would you consider it? So I you know nine nine out of ten times. It's just a rumor. Is he happy? I mean he says he is. Is he happy on and off the ice and Vancouver JP? Yeah, I think he's happy. I mean, it's no one's happy when they're losing. So I mean, he committed
56:14You know to be there and try to make the best of it and he's going to do that and I'm sure there's going to be all kinds of discussions At the end of this year about every player on that team. So we can't avoid that JP if they do come to you and say hey, will you wave That's a decision you and Ellie should gonna have to at that time. I guess Start thinking about something Yeah, you know, Rick is problematic is when things get public in that area like people You know think that the player should automatically wave to whoever they want to wave to and The reality is that when you when you have the leverage to have a no move like you're giving up a lot, you know There's there's a You're basically purchasing that for sometimes a million dollars or more. Okay, so yeah So the player you know retains the right to go to a spot that he wants to go to and Then open up that kind of dialogue, but that hasn't happened yet and But yeah, I mean obviously it has to be a location that Works for both sides Where's his game right now for you JP? This guy had a hundred points one year. He had over 90 another
57:20What are you seeing in the player right now JP last couple of years? I Think he's trending back up. I think he you know obviously Who he plays with and the personnel is gonna impact him and how good the team is but He's still a young player and I mean he's he you know if he's surrounded with the right cast I think he can do really well. So I think there was some we definitely Had some low points, but I think he's trending back up and I think that's probably why there's all these rumors Yeah, no kidding Speaking of rumors Vancouver is central rumor around the NHL you know that because they sent out a memo JP that everyone's available Tyler Myers You took last money to get a no move in Vancouver teams are calling on him. What do you think's gonna happen with him JP? Again, it's it's pretty similar situation. I mean if the team's gonna come to you and say look We have something and we want to discuss it. We have to discuss it, but you know, he has a no move. He has You know, he again secured it for the kind of deal and the intention was to play in Vancouver
58:25And he's a veteran guy who wanted to finish his career in Vancouver. So that's even a more delicate Discussion. So like I said, it's all you know It's all hypothetical and this is I have a hard time dancing around all these hypotheticals that until we have the actual You know team and the the GM of Vancouver wanting to discuss it. It's it's just hypothetical. Yeah, I'm kidding JP Philip Edel he's close What has to take place for him to give back on the ice for the conucks he is close Yeah, it's just my understanding that the doctors have to be 100% sure and they have their own Kind of testing that they want him to go through and they've got his whole history. So You know, I think you know, we all and I think the team too want The medical staff to make that decision that he's ready and Then consult with Philip at the right time, but yeah, he's very close and um, you know, I'll wait for I get the call, you know, I get the call about that he's ready to be cleared JP did you have
59:27A conversation with him when he got this concussion Tom Wilson and it's been several weeks Did you have a conversation with him about his future and he's had a few concussions? We all have I mean we've had many discussions with Philip. He understands the situation Our check agent also has been very involved with Philip Alish volak we've worked with Alish for 20 years and He's very very close to the check clients that we have and they talk about everything. So yes, I mean he's He's he wants to play hockey, but yeah, you have to have those discussions when you have that many injuries But I think you know, each one is different you have to listen to the doctors about the type of injury that you're dealing with Is and he says he is, but does he have to change his game? JP at all Philippeal Yeah, I mean he's got to stop getting hit going up the middle. I think So yes, I mean, I think you have to change your game. I think there's been some Some unlucky unlucky incidents also. So you have to but you have to look at both
1:00:30Yeah Switching gears and moving on to another team that's as a matter of fact is in Vancouver On on Friday the devil's what's in Dougie Hamilton's future? Well, I mean It started last summer again We talk about these no moves when a team did try to make a move for him and it wasn't something that he was comfortable with So that went away and now we're getting to this time of year where You know, the team wanted to make changes I think and and move on and now but now they have injuries So actually that's probably my next call today is to find out what What New Jersey's thinking, you know, where where are we with the teams that have called because it went public a couple weeks ago and Um on whether the injury right now to to Luke Hughes Changes their approach on him. So it's it's kind of fluid right now. I mean we talk about Dougie Hamilton and Elias Patterson What's that conversation like with the player When the possibility of waving a no movement clause
1:01:31It comes I'm back. I'm back. I lost the voice there. Okay, so jb Sorry, but continuing with the conversation with Dougie Hamilton Elias Patterson players like that they have no movement clauses. What's that conversation Like when the possibility of waving that no movement clause comes up Yeah, usually it's gonna involve uh, you know who the team is Um We're gonna probably end up having dialogue with that team about the plans. Why they you know, why they want to do the deal Why they're bringing him in so you know, it it involves both teams and and the agent and the player at that time So it's a little bit more complicated jp uh you were in florida this week with uh all the agents it was agent meetings with the NHLPA Anything interesting come out of there I decided to stay in florida actually. I'm not going north through a bit. Oh Well, Florida Yeah, I have a place down here. Oh, I go back or forth, but uh um
1:02:31Yeah, I know there was it was a really detailed meeting about the new cba and some of the the tweaks that were made and You know, how we can approach this summer and in a you know review of the economics um, you know, it's changes because the salary cap is definitely you know, it's it's in a rising and Asgro is down, so it's a really good time to be a player. I know you don't want to leave florida, but are you going to Italy? Yeah, I am going to really I can go to florida florida to italy. Yes. Oh wow I guess you're waving your no movement clause Italy who's more excited about the Olympics jp the players taking part or the players who got a few weeks off Yeah, no the players taking part they all want I mean they really want to compete head to head They haven't done it and uh I just really hope that you know the the arena is not going to be uh An impediment to our to a really good tournament and that's we talked about that at the meetings through that's you know Obviously, that's a concern that I've been to I've all the way back to negano. I was in
1:03:32You know terino and I mean I some of those places we had to play on top of swimming pools. So I think the I think the players will you know, I just hope that the I you know and and vice itself is Is enough for us to have a really good tournament. What are you hearing? What's the latest jp regarding that facility? They had to plug holes in the building too because that's like when you're talking about ice So apparently they are plugging all the holes in the building and what I'm sure all the all the seats will will uh All the seats will be ready, but that's you know uh Chris Johnson will tell you all about that. I think if you have them on Yeah, hey the connox has some extra seats. They just unloaded a bunch of riders or anything Maybe you could carry them over there with you Apparently that seats over there won't won't be screwed into the ground. So I think they need some seats JP last one before we let you go. Quinn Hughes should have you know played his entire career event Cooper how's he doing? He left uh, you know the whole nine yards We haven't talked to you since he left, but how's he doing in Minnesota?
1:04:35I just don't really well. I think he just takes it week by week and he So on a good team. I mean, I watched a bunch of the games. He seems to be really Collecting with them and I mean look at the ice time. So obviously They have to try and make a run this year I wouldn't be surprised seeing that team out a few more bodies to before the end of the year JP uh above and beyond safe travels over to Italy. Yeah. Thanks so much for joining us today Thank you guys. Thank you so much. You bet From CAA sports JP uh, Barry Representing several connox, including Elise Pedersen and Tyler Myers Tyler Myers is a player And we talk a lot about Elise Pedersen But I just wonder the stage of his career It I know he's got a year left his contract five no movement clause Would he not be enticed to move uh, remove that no movement clause? And I know he's in love with BC and Vancouver and and colona but to play with somebody who's a cup contender Yeah, and it has got one in JP said it if the connox go to him on deals for Pedersen and Myers
1:05:38He's got to talk to his clients and you asked a really good question What's that talk about waving a no move? It's not easy. It's not people think it's easy. It's not Okay, a break and we'll deal with the poll question next donny tell the team one check Donny and Donny the team is supported by Abel auctions dot c a closing your business we can help Abel auctions specializes in helping British Columbia based business owners Close their business and sell their assets in a timely orderly manner Online events for everything from machine shop and Manufacturing auctions to industrial equipment retail inventories or any other type of business assets Abel auctions can help for a free confidential consultation on getting your business assets sold Please email sales and Abel auctions dot c a that's sales at ab li auctions dot c a Waddling dog poll question and the wake of the connox
1:06:384-3 win over Washington last night at Roger's arena experience one of Victoria's iconic destinations Sleep sip stock up on one legendary spot come sit and stay at the Waddling dog today Right get up the Waddling dog poll question it is simple and What was your main reaction of the connox ending their 11-game losing streak last night Glad it's over don't mess with the tank look at this pretty darn close 54% glad it's over don't mess with the tank At 46% 700 plus votes starting to hop and pop on a Thursday morning connox versus Brandon Dillon who recently played his 1000 game and the devils tomorrow Yeah at Roger's arena sit in the penguins on on Sunday at three o'clock right up against that's that Seahawks game Jonathan Lecker-Mackie scored an overtime goal for the Abbotsford connox Last night as they defeat Laval and you wanted to talk about it was a two-one win You wanted to talk about Jonathan Lecker-Mackie Prospect don't even look at this watch how quickly on stick off stick that is a beautiful goal
1:07:42I mean just everything about that goal you love it's everything the reason he's a first run pick watch Okay, the patient You wanted to mention like some news about Jonathan Lecker-Mackie So here's what's going on. He's got nine goals and 14 American oculi games But what's happening Don he's he gets to the NHL level four goals and 32 games So he's got to find a way to translate that what you're seeing There to the NHL level he's not done it yet. He's what are people saying he turned he turns 22 this summer done You know you can't he's not a kid anymore as you said about the other guy So I talked to a pro scout last night who was there in Abbotsford And he says that Lecker-Mackie's overall play still needs work needs consistency the physicality is lacking You love the production you love the goals But donnie at the overall game. Why is he in Abbotsford? Why is he down there the overall game play without the puck all Both ends of the rink all that stuff young kids don't young kids. It's not it's not just about scoring goals
1:08:44It's about playing at the NHL level In all zones five eleven one seventy two. That's what he's listed at a hockey db Are we are we talking about a bust here? No for no no no he's he's 21 He here's the great thing. He's scoring at an a tremendous clip at the American hockey league a lot of players Yeah, but when he comes up here they put him in the top six for one game. Okay, stop done What are you talking and then boom next game bottom six boom next game fourth line Boom next game healthy scratch. They ruined the kids confidence. They really you get put him in the top six You're 30 second in the league stick him in the top six and keep him there for a month You're excused for every single player is the players. They're playing with As opposed to you know having them look in the mirror. No, this is about patience They put it is you say that I'm what everybody put him in the top six for one game And then when he doesn't say he was in the top six for one game when they put him in the top six He doesn't produce, but then the next game he's on the fourth line playing nine minutes
1:09:47Stick him in the top six for weeks on weeks and work with them Is it a matter of not producing or is it a matter of not playing the 200-foot game? Well, it's played without the puck you know coaches they hate it these young kids come out of junior hockey They're the goal scores to get all the ice all the power play then they get to the NHG on goal. Are we supposed to check? Yeah, it's it's an overall game As for the Vancouver can actually get four two over the capitals down to nothing Early and you think it's over You're harkening back to the criticism Adam foot level that is veterans on Monday that they get They're too negative they get down on the bench low and behold The veterans come through and they end up winning Four three and I thought the drill Connor was I don't think he fits in the veteran group, but He played very well last night return of Teddy Bluger There was something there.
