We recorded an interview earlier today with Ross Tucker. And during that interview, Rick got a phone call from the same person who's calling him right now. He's calling, I can't pick it up. But this is important, is it? It's important, I can't pick it up. I can't pick it up. Ryan, I can handle things. No, you could, you know. If you want me to, I'll go outside the studio and take the call. There are a lot of times during this show that we'd like you to go outside. I'll, I'll text them later. Okay.

2:00All right. Is it urgent? I mean, hey, yesterday, I don't know if you guys saw, Adam Schaefter ran off the set. Yeah. He has to be in. Okay, but how many people on the set? Yeah. Well, I mean, you know, but this is like 900 on that panel talking to the panel will be okay. Yeah. But it also makes you look like a bring in Derek. Yeah. Neema. Oh, I think Derek will have a better take on last night's connect game than you. No kidding. Connects losing four or three to the islanders. I think, and this has been the case for a while now. It's no great revelation. But the most interesting news for the connects is off the ice and not on the ice with the way this season has gone. But on the ice, they, and we've had a couple of texts regarding this. In the Bayside Resort inbox. The connects have gone spinal tap. They've gone to 11. They've lost 11 straight. They haven't won a home game since December 6th. Just four wins and 21 home games.

Tony DeAngelo made it 4-2. Then with Lincoln and pulled in the lake going. Philip Hironic at the point. His shot deflected. Past Elias Rokin by Drew O'Connor. No relation to Carol. But that's as close as they come. Cuxless. They're 11th straight. 4-3 final connects host. Ovechkin of the capitals on Wednesday. Why do you give me the strange. Carol O'Connor. He doesn't know because you never watched all in the family. Who's that? I can't answer that. I can't answer that. It's sad. Archie Bunker. Archie Bunker. One of the great. The late Carol O'Connor. One of the greatest TV guys ever. Archie Bunker. All in the family. Great show. Moving on. Yeah. Before we get to Adam Foote's clip. I meant what I said there. And it's interesting timing. But Vander Cain, who played over 19 minutes last night.

5:06He got the goal what four or five hits. He hit Schaefer a couple of times. He was really noticeable. And that hasn't always been the case this season. Yeah, physically he was. And I thought about that last night. Here we are. Trade deadline run. There you go. Yeah. And he's starting to play better. And that is good. He hit the Schaefer kid twice. You know, rattled them a couple of times. Front of the net deflection. Nice deflection. Where's this of Vander Cain? Been all year long, Donnie. But it's okay if it me. And this is nothing against the Vander. But if he ups his trade value. If this sort of thing continues. That's not. I don't know what they would get for him. What a third round draft pick. I'm not I'm not really sure. Whatever the case may be. Uping his trade value is not a bad thing for Vancouver. In the situation they're in right now. So, okay. So Adam foot post game. Speaking of Vander Cain. He fits into the veteran group with the Vancouver connection. And he hasn't been here all as a connoct. And it was all that long. But he is a veteran. And here's Adam foot post game. So many people thought this was interesting.

6:09This is Adam foot on his veterans inability to deal with adversity. Well, there's a lot of positives. And they've been doing a great job leading. But getting to the second period again. Our veterans are the ones that feel defeated first. It's been going on here for a few years. You know, we get off our game. We get frustrated and we overcomplicate it. You know, slamming the gate. Things like that. It's something we ought to get out of our culture. Our culture is not going to be that anymore. And it just gets us off our game slightly, off our game plan. And for just a little bit too long. And it allows other teams to get a little bit of energy and come back in the game. And it's something we've got to stop. Like tonight, the good thing is that last about seven minutes, we readjust it, came out with a great third period. Had a kill. You know, that call I get it. You know, it was an intense call. It can happen. It might not happen, but it does happen. Hockey, but we haven't watched this for too long to say like,

7:14we got to stop burn ourselves. By getting frustrated. We've got to stay within the plan. The plan's working and, um, you know, it's our vets. And they got to they got to hang in there. Well, interesting. Of course, one of the responses to that is obvious. It's part of Adam's job to make sure his team is able to deal with adversity. But he mentioned this has been going on for a few years. So we're we're going. I don't know if that was a shot at Rick talk it, but Rick talking about the larger the team. Okay, I always remember and as I often do, I'm going to go back in history here. But back in the 80s, when Pat Quinn, arguably the number one man in charge of the Cox ever, both as a coach and a general man, 100% I don't know how much you you'd argue it. But him talking about one of the marks of a great hockey team is the ability to deal with adversity. Yes. Like everything in life, things are going to go wrong.

8:16You're going to have moments where things aren't going right. And you have to accept that. Learn from it and move forward in a positive way. And according to Adam foot and we've seen we've seen this, right, bad body language. He mentioned slamming the gate, which JT Miller did a few times, slamming your stick on the boards, you know, head down on the bench. Yep. You know, there are better ways to deal with it. Body language is a big thing. And acting like a baby is a big thing as well. But Pat Quinn talked about that ad nauseam when he first joined the Cox and he wanted to get that crap out of this organization. And Adam foot clearly feels the same way. I thought he came across really strongly yesterday in saying that. And it's interesting that he singled out the veterans because we know that they want to keep some of them, right? You can't have, you can't have, you know, 20 rookies.

9:17No, you can't on your own. No, you can't. You can't line up with 20 rookies every game. No way. You have to have some veterans. Patrick Elvin mentioned they have to keep veterans to get to the cap floor. Yes, so there's that. So you have to have the right veterans there. Clearly, Adam's not sure if they've got the right ones right now. Interesting that he took this long to call out the vets because he could have did it 10 games ago, 15 games, go 20 games ago. He's been playing nice with the vets. He's been playing nice with the entire team. He has enript the team and then he picks last night to say, hey guys, I need more from you. The vets, these guys are going into a rebuild. They're going to have a lot of young guys in a lineup. Veterans are very important. Coaches do have a say in vets on July 1st. Donnie, the GM sits to coach down and says, who should we go after July 1st? It's it's it's it's paired together. But the management has put these veterans for the most part. Foot hasn't had a big say. Who so you want the culture to be better? You want better veterans? Yeah, you go out and get a vendor came on July 1st,

10:18who's not a not known to be a college guy. Although although we had a strong game yesterday. Great. You had a great game last night. But you're talking about the culture, getting veterans. That's the responsibility mostly of the general manager and above. But it's the wrong mix of the core they've had here for years. The wrong mix of the veterans. And it's all come and do ahead. So who's he calling out then? Is it came? Even though he had a strong game last night? Well, Bessert, Garland. He's left. The Leo's peterson is left. It's Patterson. It's Bessert. It's Garland. It's it's these are the heronic. A de brosk. De brosk. I don't think anybody has a problem with Philip Heronic. No. I have a problem with how he deals with reporters. Yeah. Other than that. That's all the hockey player. Yeah. He just looked frustrated last night. And by the way, guys, do you now understand why Rick talk it left? He saw this coming. Talk it so. Well, then he's not dealing with adversity well. Okay. Talk it so losing coming. Right. He saw this coming. He's not stupid. He knew he wasn't going to resign. And the dysfunction. There's your three major reasons why talking probably left. I don't blame him.

11:19But I always remember that. Like right off the bat with Pat Quinn. He talked about it. And you know what? You see it in minor hockey. Yeah. You see it in junior hockey. He's a can't deal with adversity. Something goes wrong. And they fall apart completely. And maybe you don't notice it as much. You know, with the team like, you know, the contacts are icing right now because everything seems to be going bad. But that's part of it. There's no question about it. And oftentimes in our base side ocean front resort in box, you know, we'll get criticized. And rightfully so I get that because we make a big deal about body language about what's going on at the bench. Arguments at the bench. That it's not that big. I think it is. It's in a public, it's in a public forum. The body language is for all to see. Well, especially when you're talking about a young hockey club. Yes. Yes. And you have a lineup full of rookies, young players that can be influenced by the veterans. And if they're acting that way, get rid of those guys. Get rid of them. And it is now with teams calling on all their vets, don. It's time to sit these vets down and say, hey,

12:21if you're not in it for the long haul, you're not ready for the losing. And you don't want to teach them, get them out of here. Get them out of here, Don. Because if you're going to play a Waka young kids next year in the year after, your vets better be on board. Well, speaking of getting rid of players, according to some reporters around North America, the products are taking calls, hundreds of calls. Fair phrasing, Analea. Breaking down doors. Analea's Patterson, EP 40. Yeah, I don't see the breaking down the doors thing. But I, Donnie, here's what I know on Patterson. Teams think that a change of scenery would benefit Patterson. They're looking into it, but they do wonder if the price is worth it. This is a player who's underachieved for two years. Massive cap hit. Teams are inquiring. Some teams don't think you'll wave as no move. As of yesterday, the connox have not contacted his agents about waving. They have not. Because you know why? The discussions have not been serious. And serious enough to call the agents. Connox have to listen on all players, and they are. But if and when they get a serious offer for Patterson,

13:22they'll talk to the agents and they'll ask them. You know, I thought you just said teams are inquiring. They are inquiring. For people who want, want to see a move there. Yeah. That's a positive. But there's a lot of people don't think he's going to wave in season, Donnie. And I'll tell you something else. I'm not hearing of any serious discussions. That kid might not wave. All this talk about that kid might not wave. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What do you mean, whoa? He's up on the kid talk. What do you mean? He's a kid. He's in his late 20s. This is his eighth NHL season. I get tired of hearing this about him being a young player still. Like I'm sorry, he's not a kid. Anyway, I'm nitpicking. Go ahead. All right. Well, anyways, this player might not wave. And you know, he's got powerful agents. And he doesn't have to. JP Bearing Company. Yeah, Patterson, they don't have to. If it happens, it happens. But right now, it's just a feeling out process with teams calling Vancouver on Patterson and just saying, hey, you know, this guy's underachieved. He's got an $11.6 million cap.

14:23Who wants this? What you loved? Well, what do you have? You say he's overpaid. And Don, you complained about his contract. More than anyone else in the market. No, but it is what it is. It is what they signed them. No one put a gun to their head to sign them. They signed them. OK, I want to get the straight. When I say things about Patterson, I'm not criticizing him as much as I'm criticizing management for that contract. And I think pretty much everybody who criticizes Elias Patterson is criticizing the contract more than anything. If it was a more reasonable deal for a player of his stature, then I don't think the criticism is cut in half. Here's another thing, Rick. They're acquiring these draft picks and go it on them. And it's interesting that he criticized the veterans after key for sure would be left. Because there was no problem with key for sure. Zero problems with that guy. Zero problems. I hope we can run that clip from yesterday, which we ran in yesterday's show. At least a part of it, it was wonderful.

15:24If we have time later today. But they're acquiring these draft picks. Is there a possibility the connox mate throw a sweetener in with Elias Patterson in order to get another team to take him? Like throw in a second round draft pick, or whatever the case, or a couple of second round draft picks. Retain some salary. I think you're going to have to do that if they want something decent in return. A team's are just, it's a feeling out process. But Donnie, do you want to retain for six more years on Patterson? And then complain. And people are going to complain a bit about it for six years. You're paying OEL this year. He's got more points than any connox guys. That is one of the most connox stats of all time. The fact that all of our equiment Larsen would lead them in points. I believe last time I checked that out. He would lead the connox in points today. And he's got a Stanley Cup ring. And these guys are paying them 4.5 this year next year. So do you want to pay Patterson to play somewhere else? Some teams on Patterson think. Cap's going up. Yeah, change a scenery might help this guy.

16:26That's why they're calling and saying, I wonder if he gets back to the old Patterson if he leaves Vancouver. That's a lot of the thinking of the teams out there. But anyways, Donnie, do you want to retain for six years? And then people in the market are going to, oh, well, this is year four. We got to pay Patterson to not play here. It's a tough thing to do. It is especially with the Oliver Aquaman Larsen. I go OEL, which is just unbelievable. It's just unbelievable. They're paying him to be the top leading point that are on the team and he's in Toronto. The, oh, there's so much to talk about. Oh, okay, with the connox. Again, maybe if we have time, more on the Kiefer Sherwood deal. Tough for a lot of people to see him go. There's so much work to disaster off here. Is it just me, DTMC coming up in the 11, and by the way, I'm not criticizing the connox. He was going to be a UFA. They had to make a move with him, not precise. Oh, they did the right thing. I'm sure of it. They did a hard, still hard for a lot of people to see him go. People were chanting his name. Elliott's going to join. It's Elliot Friedman just after 11 o'clock. It was Elliott in Toronto.

17:27I believe I've got this right, who asked Quinn Hughes last night, Minnesota knocking off the Leafs 6-3, about comparing the situation in Minnesota versus Vancouver. We'll run that clip later on. You were a ring son of a gun. I knew, I knew it. If you would have said to me, what is Rick's ring tone sound like, I would have said a 1980s video game. That's what it sounds like. That sounded like the Pac-Man machine at the arcade. And by the way, you were pretty slow with your reaction. What's your heart going off for grabbing it? I thought it was Donnie's. I thought it was Donnie's, because his goes off too. You know, hold on a sec, not when we're taping an interview, no way. I've never heard Donnie's go off before. In truth, in fairness, Rick, I've never heard yours go off either.

20:31But I knew it was yours. And out of the side of my eye, I heard the noise. I'm like, that's somebody's phone. I saw you with your right hand. And I'm like, you know, other analysts would have just let that go. That's not what you have. I'm not, I'm not other analysts. You should have answered it. What if that kid from juniors just signed a new, you know, in the East Coast Hockey League for $200 a game? It was an agent. It was an agent. I'm not going to lie to you. It was an agent. I could just imagine, you know, Ross Tucker was probably obsessed in the 80s with Pac-Man. Am I right? Asteroids. I wasn't obsessed, but I, you know, arcades were big back there. They were. I love going the arcade until they had a drug bust there. My parents wouldn't let me go anymore. But it was cool for a while that the arcade, the mall, that was like, where was happening? Until evidently, too much stuff was happening. Yeah, okay. As far as McDermott's concerned,

21:32I feel very strongly about this. So first of all, he's a good coach. And I like it, okay? But I really don't like when people attempt to pass the buck or make excuses in life. In fairness to Sean, I think he probably realized he was on thin ice. And it probably wasn't the worst strategy to try to defect, deflect blame to the officiating. Or maybe he knew he was already probably done. And in this respect, Bill's fans would remember him as going down fighting, fighting for them and fighting for Buffalo. But I mean, listen, you guys know what's my favorite team I played for. And I have an affinity for them. They have no way to blame but themselves. I mean, I love Josh Allen. He's my favorite player in the NFL. He needed to play better. You know, I mean, not just the careless fumble

22:34or the other fumble or the bad interception. He missed just off the top of my head. He missed Shakir. Probably would have been a touchdown. He missed Dawson Knox. He would have been the game winning touchdown. He missed Hardman on an out route for a big chunk play. He just, you know, he needed to play better. And it's a shame, but I'm not a big fan of them blaming the refs. I mean, even the interception they keep talking about. Yes. Hey, Brandon Cooks, hold on to the ball. Hold on to the ball. Don't let him rip the ball out of your hands and you win the game. You win the game if you don't let him rip the ball out of your arms. Even if you both just hold on to it, you get the benefit of the doubt. It's in your body, curl over. And look, I really didn't like the Taran Johnson passenger appearance. I thought that was a really bad call. The Trudevius White one I can live with a little bit more. But I just didn't, I'm not a big fan of, look,

23:37my, what I'm into is personal responsibility, personal accountability. Probably to too high of a level, right? Like whenever I messed up, I was devastated with myself, not other people, to the point where it was probably unhealthy, but like high school basketball or whatever, you know, if we ever lost the game, I would just stew over that one or two things I could have done better, that could have been the difference. Rick should take personal responsibility with his phone, Ross. Moving on. He did. He did. I mean, after I called him out on him. Yeah. But, but I love that that's his ring. I just, I mean, you know what is important in life for people to be who you think they are. Yeah. And Rick Dalley, while having the mis-packed man ringtone as his ring, it's just unbelievable. I mean, it's so good. I, Ross, back to that interception in overtime in Denver.

24:40I thought Brandon Cook's, and a lot of people did. People who know a lot more about football than I do. And Rick Dalley, did he, did he not hit the ground with possession? Is that not a catch? To really good question. And here's the difference, okay? Devante Adams had a similar play for the Rams against the Bears. Yes. Devante Adams clearly possessed the ball on his feet and took two steps. Then his knee hit the ground. So because Devante Adams had caught the ball, taken multiple steps and a football move. As soon as his knee hit the ground, he's a runner. The play is over. The fumble doesn't matter. Brandon Cook's was going to the ground while he was attempting to catch the pass. The rule state, when you go to the ground, you must survive the ground.

25:43Meaning even if McMillan's not there, just because Cook's knee hit the ground doesn't matter. If his chest or back then hits the ground, the ball bounces out. It's incomplete. You must what's called surviving the ground. He did not survive the ground because in the process of surviving the ground, he lost the ball. Right? Ross, Seahawks, Rams, two best teams in the conference, two close games in the regular season. Are you two evenly matched teams? Which way are you leaning here? You know what I just realized? What? How far are you guys from the Seahawks stadium? Two and a couple hours. Couple hours. Okay, that'd probably be tough. I'm going to my daughter's volleyball tournament Saturday morning, but I'm going to be on the sidelines, Seattle. Cool. On Sunday, probably on one radio, yeah. So looking forward to it, I thought you guys were maybe a little bit closer. And if I was flying in like Friday or something, yeah,

26:44then maybe I could make that the voyage up. Just keep calling Rick's phone while we're out. Only when we're on the air. It'd be amazing. But no, listen, I think Seattle right now is the best even football. I think that they are the odds on favorite to win the Super Bowl on the strength primarily of their defense, but the run game as well. And Darnell doing enough. I like them quite a bit against the Rams. The Rams feel like they're leaking oil a little bit to me kind of running out of gas. Feels to me like Stafford's going to have to have like an MVP caliber game. And Darnell's going to have to be no better than average, maybe even below average for the Rams to get this win. All right, Boatniks, boy, that's a tough injury. Jared stood on me, hasn't done a pass all year. Ross talk about pressure. They all eyes are on this guy now. Yes and no. Oh, I mean, there's certainly pressure in the sense that, you know,

27:48the fate of the Denver Broncos organization and all the fans. It's now in his hands. But I don't know if there's a lot expected of him. And so on some level, he has a chance to be a Nick Folls hero, you know, a Jeff Hostetler hero. And what's funny to me about it, this is actually perfect for Sean Peyton's legacy. You know, if Boatniks was playing and the Broncos lost at home, to bad loss. Boatniks, they heard their starting quarterbacks out. Nobody's expecting them to win. They're decent underdogs now. If the Broncos pull this off and win, that is a real feather in Sean Peyton's cap that adds to his legacy as a potential Hall of Famer. So this sort of works out in Sean Peyton's favor from a coaching legacy standpoint. You worked as we get back to the Rams here.

28:49You worked the Rams and Bears in Chicago, Jim Cornel, son of the black hawks doing the anthem. I got to ask you, Ross, it looked outstanding. What was that atmosphere like? It was awesome. And the National Anthem, the pride and the pipes on that guy, that was incredible. The whole crowd went bananas you as you would expect. But I gotta tell you, the whole Caleb Williams play, fourth and four, the ball was for one yard in the air. That was like a, I don't know, top 10 sports moment. I've been around top five, but I'd have to sit there and try to rank it. But that place went absolutely bananas. It was incredible to be a part of that and witness it. And honestly, on some level, I don't really care who wins, but probably would have added to the legacy of me calling that game if the Bears ended up winning it.

29:50Okay. And went down as a 14-yard touchdown. That's one of the interesting stats about that play. Ross, Super Bowl, February 8th, can you think of any other important dates in February? Yeah. But earlier in the day, Patrick Alvin talking about the keeper Sherwood trade. Yeah. Also went on on some other subjects.

37:00And he talked about the importance of keeping veterans. Yes. During a rebuild. We got that clip. Yeah. Yeah. We definitely need to keep players around. I don't want to see what happened here that night. The losing six, nothing. It's not good for anyone. It's not good for the fans. It's not good for the players. That's not something I'm looking at. We're extremely fortunate to have good veteran players here, good people, more so to teach to young guys. But again, I said it before if there's making sense for us long term, we definitely look into it. He's also going to be, he also need to be about the floor in the cap world. So a couple of things there. Mixed messages somewhat. I don't know how big a deal it is. But Adam foot talking about the current group of veterans and how some of them have a problem dealing with adversity. So are there the right guys to keep during your rebuild and Patrick Alvin saying, well, no, you know, most of the veterans here are

38:07okay or he would be okay with keeping during the rebuild process, right? Yeah. That's what Patrick Alvin said. I like the veteran. But you didn't like the fact that foot said something a little bit different in the post game. Alvin in the morning said he likes his veterans foot in the evening said the veterans are an issue right now. The bad body language mixed messages mixed messages. The GM likes the vets and the head coach was calling out the same vets that the GM in the morning said, I like these guys. And then the coach ripped them in the post game. I'll bet though that they agree on the vets that they want to keep. Like I would not, you know, I'd go out of my way to keep Phil Peronik. Although you're saying that with Phil Peronik is there's getting, they're getting calls. Oh yeah, they're getting calls on everybody including Philip Peronik. But the connox, he doesn't want to go anywhere. That's a guy you would keep. I think that's a guy's captain material in my eyes, Donnie. Panthers, sharks, down in FLA, Alex Nadellkovich gets involved in this scrum. It was actually hit on Vincent Dayharnay. A late hit on Vincent Dayharnay. Nadellkovich gets involved. Sergei Barbrowski was not happy that Nadellkovich was getting in there, but Barbrowski flies down the ice. Love it. Flies down the ice. Like this was and they dropped the gloves. And I don't think Nadellkovich is really, both of them are better fighters actually than I expected. But Barowski is a very small person. Yes. Yeah. Like in terms of weight. Stature. Yeah. If you see him stands equipment, it is incredible. This wasn't exactly Coochay Osgood. By the way, the bench is just absolutely loved that this happened. Why not? Patrick was good. I mean, you look last night, all that talent that Minnesota has on the ice, they wiped out Toronto and that's a heck of a hockey team. There's going to be a Stanley Cup contender that goes down in the first round guys in that central division. Yeah, big time. That's just absolutely stack. Are you calling him Quinn Snyder? Does that have anything to do with your good times in Monkton? Hockey Day in Canada, it looked outstanding, Elliot. No, it's my old basketball days. The Quinn Snyder coach is the Atlanta Hawks. 52:41would not be as strong. My brain matter would not be as strong after a weekend in Monkton. Yeah, what was your takeaway? Like I said, it looked fabulous. And you guys hockey night in Canada, you got so lucky with the weather. The backdrop was just absolutely outstanding. It looks like they did a great job. You guys did a great job in that city. Both city to great and our production staff to great. It was an awesome time. The people were fantastic. I got back to Toronto. We're at a deep freeze here. 53:41Who's next in Vancouver? Who's next? You know, that's a great question. Um, you know, Hughes, when it happened, it was immediate. I think Sherwood was always next on the list. I'm not, you know what? I have to say this. I know there's a lot of talk about Patterson right now. Yeah, I just haven't been given any indication that he is willing to wave right at this point in time. And, you know, I was, I was on the radio yesterday. And I think I feel a little bit bad even discussing him right now because, you know, him and his family just went through a really tough time. It's kind of the way it goes. But in terms of the names get thrown out and you kind of have to react to it. But, you know, as of yesterday, Rick and Don, I had no indication that he was willing to wave at all. So that's one thing that we, you know, have to look at here. Is there really a player who's willing to go in season? And, you know, I think this can change with any phone call.

54:41And I think all the noise means as a player. You kind of have to think about it. But I didn't have any indication as of yesterday that he was willing to consider it. And I got the same feeling. I talked to his agent, JP Berry. They haven't been talked to by the connox. All these people that what Patterson traded and all this Patterson talk, like Elliott, I don't know if he's going to wave. Like that, he's got the final say. And his agents aren't super happy with all these rumors, either, Elliott. You know, here's the thing though, Rick. And I always say, like, what's my confirmation bias and how can I avoid sticking to it? And I think that if you're going to do this, there has to be a process, right? And the process is, I would gather, there's two ways to go about it. Either the connox go to the agents and say, we're giving you permission to talk or the way it is right now, assuming, you know, what you're saying is true. And I have no reason to doubt you. But, you know, because with Hughes, the agent was involved. With Sherwood, the agent was involved.

55:43Big time. So it doesn't sound like the agents are involved here based on what you're saying. So the other option was the connoxer waiting. They've got, like everybody knows, the connoxer open for business. You want to call someone? You want to call an idea? Call us and we'll consider it. It says to me right now that the only way they're going to go anywhere with Patterson is, they get something that comes to them and they say, okay, we have to pursue this. Like, we have to go to the player. We have to go to the representatives. And we say, we have something on the table here that we like, will you consider it? And I think that's kind of what's going on here. I think, I think with all the connox players with various clauses, that's what's going to happen. There are either the agents are going to say, we want out and we'll work with you on it. Or the team's going to say, look, we got this presented to us. How do you feel about this possibility? And the connoxer are definitely willing to talk about these players. Yeah, but I'm not sure they're going to everyone until they have something that they can say,

56:45we want to do this, would you consider it? Who's, when you look around the league, what player on the connox is getting the most calls in your eyes? I would, you know, depending on who you listen to, there's been some on Patterson. I think, again, I almost hate bringing these guys out because they all have, like, I have no doubt they're getting calls on Myers. And again, like, he's got control, right? You know, I've already stepped in it enough with Ronik, you know, look, I just think, I don't think he doesn't have to go anywhere if he doesn't want to, but I think you're crazy if you don't think that, and you know, the connoxer may want to keep him. I know you've talked to William as the next captain, Rick. Like, put it this way, Phillip Ronik, a sign Phillip Ronik, I wouldn't move him anywhere unless the offer was insane. Or try to, but again, I think they've been asked, you know, what, what would they do here?

57:47In terms of the guys that I think are more easier to move if they wanted to, I have no doubt they've been asked about Garland. I have no doubt they've been asked about guys like O'Connor. You know, Bluger has to play. I know the connox would like to do that, but he has to play and be healthy. And then there'll be in a situation where they could potentially do something. But like, someone mentioned to me like guys like the guys who are signed, who have a little bit of term, and that it's not, you don't have to ask in a way of no move clauses. I think those are guys that you should be keeping an eye out on too. And Elliott, they're in a playoff spot right now. Third of the Pacific, what message did Mike Greer send to his players by acquiring Key for sure would? Well, I think there's a couple of things. They also made a move a couple of weeks ago. It was a small one where they acquired Laurent Broussois.

58:50And if you look at their gold-tening depth, they're two guys in the American Hockey League who played two combined NHL games. So I think that was like a calculated gamble by Mike Greer to say, look, our guys have put us in a position. We have to reward them. And we have to have extras on a roster. So sure would, to me, that's a goal for it. Yeah, we're in the playoff race. We're going forward a bit. At this point in time, there's no extension. I mean, a lot of us have reported San Jose. I don't think it comes as a big surprise. And I think San Jose went into this with eyes wide open guys about what it was going to cost. I think at this point in time, San Jose is not prepared to pay like a five times five. But we'll see. You know, we'll see how it goes. Like, Mike Greer has time here. He went into this knowing exactly what the player wanted. He still made the deal. And he's going to sit there and say, how's the fit? They have lots of time to work this out. Lots of time. Okay, I didn't realize this.
