Janine Norman, the 36-year-old weekend anchor for Good Morning America, just confirmed she's

stepping away from the ABC show.

She shared the news in an emotional Instagram video on Saturday, April 4, after her contract

expired without renewal.

Earlier this week, on Thursday, April 2, a newsletter reported a split and sources say

she'd known since early March, but stay professional.

On air, until the story leaked, then ABC pulled her abruptly, even though her deal runs

till early May.

Norman opened up about her heartbreak over not getting a proper goodbye, but she's pumped

to finally spend more time with her three young kids, who've only known her working weekends,

their whole lives.
