Jalen Reed Joins Michigan Wolverines

0:00On April 23rd, Jalen Reed, the 6-flit 10-forward from LSU, just committed to the Michigan Wolverines. After four seasons with the Tigers, the 245-pound Red Shared Junior hit the transfer portal this off-season. He's heading to Ann Arbor to join the defending national champs. Injuries hit him hard, back-to-back. A torn ACL wiped out his 2025 season. Then in the Killy's tear ended last year's campaign after just six games. Coach Matt McMahon called it heartbreaking, praising Reed's inspiring comeback spirit. Before those setbacks, Reed showed real promise. In those early games last fall, he averaged 18 minutes, 9.5 points, and 5.7 rebounds per outing. Over his LSU career in 79 games, he put up 6.6 points and 4.1 boards a night. Across his last two full seasons, those numbers climbed to 10.3 points and 6.1 rebounds, marking him as one of LSU's top guys.
