The Washington commanders decided not to place a restricted free agent tender on him, according to reporter Jordan Schultz. This clears the path for Moody to sign with any team without restrictions. Moody was a third round draft pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2023. He bounced around the league last season, before landing with Washington toward the end of the year. In six games with the commanders, Moody nailed 10 out of 11 field goals, and 10 out of 11 extra points. That strong finish highlighted his reliability and limited action. Earlier, the 49ers waved him after he missed two field goals in week one. He then played two games with the Chicago Bears, before joining Washington late in the season. Over 40 career games, Moody boasts a 78% success rate on field goals, and 97.3% on extra points.
