They just restructured Cornerback Jordan Lewis' contract, converting $7.7 million of his salary into a signing bonus. That move created $6.1 million in cap space and added three void years to his deal. Over the last few days, the team also reworked deals for offensive lineman Patrick McCarrie and safety Eric Murray. Those three changes together freed up about $16.8 million total. Now the Jaguars sit with $2,580,605 in cap space, finally getting compliant. Fans and analysts see this as smart housekeeping after last year's 13 and 4 season. General manager James Glassstone showed he's aggressive before, like with the Travis Hunter trade.
