For the NFL, it's March 21st. Here's what's happening. Make sure you're subscribed so you never miss an update. As NFL free agency winds down, five Jacksonville Jaguars free agents are still looking for new homes. General manager James Gladstone reassigned a handful of their own players like Monteregr Brown, Dennis Gardek and Quinten Morris, but others moved on. Quickly. Meanwhile, linebacker Devon Lloyd signed with Carolina, running back Travis Etienne joined the Saints, safety Andrew Wiengard landed in Arizona, cornerback Greg Newsom went to the Giants, and wide receiver Diamy Brown stayed with Washington. These holdouts include defensive ends, a manual Abba, and Dawain Smute, who both had solid pressure numbers last season despite some reduced roles. Abba notched 16 quarterback pressures and one sec, while Smute added 19 pressures, two secs, and strong run defense. Wide receivers Tim Patrick and Josh Sheifus round out the group.

Patrick caught 15 of 25 passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns, fitting well as a gritty option. Sheifus, non-tended by the Jaguars, started strong in camp before an injury. Interior alignment Austin Johnson also remains available after playing about 14 snaps per game, grating well against the run with a sack to his. Nane, the Jaguars my circle back after the draft if depth needs a rise.
