Ozzy passed away on July 22, 2025, from a heart attack at age 76. He had been dealing with coronary artery disease and Parkinson's disease for years. Earlier this week on a podcast, the 40-year-old Jack described how the death caught the family off guard, even though they knew Ozzy was ill. It happened faster than expected. Jack recalled tucking his dad into bed that night when Ozzy mentioned wanting to cut his hair because he felt retire from rock stardom. Jack first learned of the tragedy at 3.45 AM when a long-time family worker knocked on his Los Angeles home door. He saw them trying to resuscitate Ozzy and insisted they stop, knowing it was too late. Paramedics airlifted him to the hospital, but efforts failed. Following on Ozzy's final concert, Jack said his dad was energized and ready to perform.
