J.K. Dobbins Stays with Broncos, Boosts Backfield

The running back had made it clear he wanted to build a long future with the team following his first season there. Last year, Dobbins showed plenty of promise before a foot injury sidelineed him in week 10. He racked up 772 rushing yards and four touchdowns on five yards per carry, including over 100 yards and wins against the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys. Dobbins praised the Broncos organization from ownership and head coach Sean Payton to the offensive line and even the defense. Everyone made him feel wanted, which fueled his desire to stay put despite his short time with the team. The Broncos missed his production late in the season as rookie backup RJ Harvey struggled with just 3.7 yards per carry overall and even less in the playoffs.
