IT'S OVER?! Can Jay-Z Survive These Attacks?

0:00Can Jay-Z make a comeback? Absolutely not. I feel like it is over for Jay-Z, the Jay-Z that we know. Will he still stay a billionaire yet? But will he come back and get into the mainstream media and be the Jay that he once was? I think he's waited too long and it's not going to happen. Now, why are we talking about this? Today, Rock Nation posted and then the blogs picked it up that Jay-Z is going to be performing with the roots as a headliner for the Roops picnic, 2000 and 26. Here is the official poster. Now, we've been talking for the past couple of weeks about Jay-Z, reasonable doubt 30th year anniversary and if Jay-Z is going to release a new album. With that conversation has come from a lot of bloggers. This is Jay-Z trying to get his name back into good graces. This is Jay-Z trying to come for the people that have come for him on YouTube

1:01and on social media for the past year and a half. You know that pretty much Jay-Z academics has been the loudest voice. I would say him and Tasha K. Now, I have put my thoughts into the ring and I'm not hoping that Jay-Z won't make it back. Y'all know me, I don't care here nor there. I'm just trying to give you my thoughts based on the knowledge that I have seen over the past year, year and a half. And Jay-Z was the biggest, not just the biggest rapper, but the biggest in the industry. At one point, nobody had more power than Jay-Z and Rock Nation. And Jay-Z slipped and lost some of that power when he made the move against Colin Kaepernick and got into partnership with the NFL. Now, I'm gonna play you a video from Van Lathen. This is from last year,

2:02but Tasha K just put that out yesterday. And this just goes to my point that I'm gonna talk about for the next 10 minutes on why I don't think that Jay-Z can come back. And I'm not saying that Tasha K or DJ academics could bring down Jay-Z, but the fact that we are in an internet era and we're no longer in an MTV BET era, we're in an Instagram, TikTok, social media, opinion-based game. And Jay-Z is not the type of artist that knows how to navigate through that. And if he wants to come out now with an album and try to navigate, I just don't think he's gonna be able to do it. He's not gonna get on a bunch of different podcasts. He's not going to get on Instagram. He's not gonna get on TikTok. He's not gonna be out there, like for example, Nicki Minaj or A Cardi B, controlling the narrative.

3:03Jay-Z, this is not even on Instagram. I mean, I know he has one official account, but he just wiped that off a couple of weeks ago when this whole FBI thing came out. So from what I know of Jay and his personality and the persona, unless he is going to make a complete change of who we know he is, there is no way that he can come back solely with music and reminding us the artist and the great music he's put out for the past 30 years. I just do not see it. Now, I'm gonna play the Venn Lathan clip that Tasha K put out. And then I'm gonna run down the eight mishaps over the past five years, just to remind you guys. But first, let's start out with this video, take a listen. Rock Nation was seeding negative stories about Colin Kaepernick during the time that he was really in traction with Jay-Z. I've told this story before, I'll tell it again.

4:04This is another story why I give Harvey a ton of credit, right? So I made my desk one time. This is after the Rock Nation NFL deal has been announced. And give Harvey more credit than just with how he played this. I'll give him credit for the fact that he goes, hey, I just got this information on the phone. I know who was on the other end of the phone. I know who Harvey's Rock Nation contact is, right? I just got this information on the phone and all of these things about Colin Kaepernick is what I just got told, right? He comes over to me and he tells me all of these things. And it was the whole Colin Kaepernick doesn't really want to play narrative. Okay, let's stop it there. I'll give you for a second. Just give some context to this. Okay. So you'll see here Van Lathen criticizes Jay-Z multiple times, but not in a scandalous exposing way, but more in a cultural critique way. Questions Jay-Z's NFL partnership with the NFL suggests, suggested it felt like a move past the protest too quickly,

5:08implied that he undercut the original message. Remember Jay-Z said, we're beyond kneeling. I felt like that was the phrase that really kickstarted Jay-Z's downfall. Again here, you'll see that he had first-hand knowledge of him trying to ruin Colin Kaepernick with Jay-Z, rock nation feeding negative stories about Colin Kaepernick, et cetera, et cetera, okay? And then here, this goes along with Nisa Colin Kaepernick's partner at the time, accusing Jay-Z and rock nation of smear tactics, claimed what happened to Kaepernick is similar to what happened to others like Nicki Minaj, et cetera, et cetera, okay? Now, I'm gonna play another video, and then we're gonna break down after this, the cultural impact over the past four years. Just listen to this video. Yes, sir. And she was talking about Nicki Minaj's claims about a smear job that Jay-Z had against Colin Kaepernick.

6:11All right, I have to say this. I think the thing here, and I've told you a story before, I think the thing here is the Jay-Z part of it. Obviously, that's the biggest deal. But when Nisa's talking right there, there's a part of me that feels bad about layer her B on her own with saying that. And this is the reality. This is what happens, at least in what happened, at least in this one instance, because I was there. I know for sure, I'm not saying it was Jay-Z. I can't say that Jay-Z did anything, right? But I know for sure, for sure, that rock nation was seeding negative stories about Colin Kaepernick during the time that he was really in traction with Jay-Z. That's van just being smart. I can't say Jay-Z, but rock nation, Jay-Z is the owner and CEO of rock nation. So it's Jay-Z, okay? So now we have, to me, my example of what the cultural moment

7:12when Jay-Z made a mistake, okay? After that, we have heard, I was supposed to say rumors, but it's confirmation, Desiree Perez being the COO and running rock nation, and she was a snitch and a federal informant. Desiree Perez's daughter has accused Des of lying on her to try to get her divorced. She has put her into psychiatric wards and lied to doctors to try to keep her away from her husband. There's what we all know, Ramir, Jay-Z's alleged son. We do know that he's lost court cases, but we also know that Jay-Z has refused after all this time to take a DNA test. I feel like that was another big cultural moment, okay? Oh, sorry, I skipped past the snitching federal informant. That's a huge cultural moment. So Ramir, Ramir, that's another moment

8:13because of who and the age of Ramir's mother would have been at the time if Jay-Z was the dad. She would have been 16. So this is what people are saying. All this time after like 10 or 15 years, you can't just take a DNA test. What are you afraid of? Then there is the casino that Jay-Z lost, or I should say the casino, but the bid for the casino that he lost. Again, this is an impactful moment where we have never seen Jay-Z lose. Jay-Z stopped being a quote unquote rapper going to the starting to rock nation, Brooklyn Nets, building the arena. We've never seen Jay-Z take a L's. And all of a sudden in this past year, New York tells Jay-Z, no. No, you can't build the casino here and bring billions of dollars to the city, but they approved Naws. Now, Naws wasn't going after the same location

9:15and same demographic, but again, are we talking about culturally here? That was another cultural impact and loss for Jay-Z, okay? Then there was rumors, we could say this is rumors, about artists complaining about being on rock nation. There was a British artist that she said that she left. There was a lot of apparent, hey, this used to be the place five years ago. Now it's not. We'll leave that as alleged. Then there's also another alleged where Megan Nostalian, Jay-Z, Desiree Perez, Rock Nation, Rock Nation, going after, trying to smear Tori Lane's, try to keep him in jail. You're coming up black men in jail. Again, we'll leave that as speculative because there's some people that are like, yo, Tori did this to a black woman he should be in jail. There's some people that don't believe he did it. But again, that's just a cultural impact of Jay-Z and Tori Lane's father called him out, literally like the day that he got sentenced, right?

10:17So again, that's another cultural loss for Jay-Z. Don't forget Jay-Z, Marcy Projects, reasonable doubt, the guy from the hood, the bricks, the this, that out. What happened to those lost bricks? We don't like you, and the fact that he's coming to celebrate the 30th anniversary of reasonable doubt, which is a street album and then you have these cultural losses and then you're not on Instagram talking about them. You're not on these blogs. It's going to be hard to have people forget about these things. Then there is some of the most recent and most damaging. There's the Jane Doe with Tony Busby. Now again, we all know that that was pretty salacious. We all know that Jane Doe was saying things that really didn't add up. But again, he was, it was implied that he had something to do with the Diddy scandal. So yes, this one may have been salacious and I don't even remember it was through, it was thrown out based on some legalities that Tony Busby didn't do correctly.

11:18But it brought him closer to Diddy. We all know that they were close, but it brought him even closer to Diddy. Again, culturally, culturally, that was not good for Jay-Z, even though that case never went anywhere and also to just to be fair, that case was civil, it wasn't criminal, okay? Then there's the most recent, the Epstein files. And again, again, we all know we've talked about this at length. Was he technically in the files? No, it was a 1-800 hotline that anybody could have called that anybody could have said anything it wasn't investigated. But again, culturally, it's Jay is in the Epstein files. Attached him to Harvey Weinstein. People went out online and started looking and seeing Jay-Z and Epstein being best friends, I think in cans or in LA promoting the movie saying, this is my good friend, don't ask him about Trump. You're like, what, he was so close with Harvey Weinstein? So just in the past year,

12:18we have been reminded of how close he was to Ditty who's sitting in jail. Harvey Weinstein who's sitting in jail, and of course, we'll never forget the relation he had with our Kelly. And I'm not saying he did anything with those three men, but I'm saying culturally. And the fact that he chooses to not say anything, talk to anybody, or even address those things, how are you gonna come out and be like, yo, I'm ready to celebrate my album. And I might give you guys a new album. I mean, Jay-Z is a musical genius, but I just don't see what music he can make now that would have all of us forget this. And I'm not saying that any of it is true or that he should be judged for it. We're just talking about it in a cultural way. Jay-Z is not in the standing that he once was. And this business is ran by bloggers, content creators, and just everyday people in the comments section.

13:19And when you have people like Tasha K, and when you have people like academics, et cetera, et cetera, when the album comes out, they know how to get into the algorithm. And I just don't think it will be good for Jay-Z, even if he is a billionaire. Now, just wanna close off with one thing that we haven't really touched on because I'm just gonna wait for it to come to fruition. There has been some allegations that Jay-Z has discovered that there's a PR team that works with Drake and they are behind the slander online and they're playing paying blog sites and content creators to smear Jay-Z's name. And he's gonna expose that. It might be true, I don't know. But even if you expose that some of this has been paid by bloggers or some stories are not true, we still have the ties of Jane Doe, Didi, Epstein, et cetera.

14:23So were you in the files quote unquote with the FBI files that was a salacious phone call? Yes, the Drake and this PR team paid millions of dollars to spread it and have people talk about it, yeah? Okay, so what, even if you do prove that, what are you gonna do? It's not gonna make Drake look great but it's not gonna make you look any better. And this is my whole point. These are the games that people play in 2026 and Jay-Z being the one to just expose those games. No, you need to get in and play those games because this is just how it is right now. So look, there's claims that Jay-Z is broke. He had to re-mortgage the house, get $50 million. Rock Nation is going broke. They were supposed to move to England to get out of Dodge and there's just so many different things

15:23and is Jay-Z still a billionaire? Of course, he's still a billionaire. But as we all know, being a billionaire doesn't mean that you have a liquid financing and we have seen Kanye West through his bad decisions, lose status very quickly. Now Jay-Z is a smarter businessman than Kanye and Kanye's billions was attached to one contract, Adidas, that's why overnight he was no longer a billionaire. Jay-Z is very well diversified, right? But does he want to start liquefying those diversifications or does he want to try his best to come back out one more time, celebrate the 30th anniversary of Reasonable Doubt, come out with an album, try to do something to switch to narrative so he doesn't have to dip in to those investments and start liquefying. On paper, you're worth two, three billion,

16:24you start liquefying, you start moving things around, that starts getting really, really, really, really small and I just don't see him being able to change the narrative.
