He stepped up big time this past season, playing in 33 games, and averaging 5.5 points, and 2.5 rebounds in about 13 minutes per game. He really found his groove midway through the year, becoming a key piece and coach Todd Goldin's eight-man rotation. Gold shot nearly 50% from the field, and over 30% from beyond the arc, showing steady improvement on both ends of the court. Fans remember his freshman year when he scored 36 points across 19 games and earned minutes during Florida's national championship push. In the NCAA tournament, that title run sparked huge growth in his game, and mindset heading into year three. Adding to the good news, his older brother AJ Brown is also returning after taking a red shirt season last year. This keeps the family talent intact for the Gators.
