What if your emotions weren't holding you back, but pointing you towards the you that's been waiting to rise? Underneath the old beliefs, emotional runes and people pleasing, you know there's more. More joy, more peace, more of you ready to rise. It's time to step into and claim your penthouse potential. Welcome to Emotional Elevator with Sandy Bird. The Transformational Coach, Corporate Wellness Facilitator and Nervous System Regulator, Let's Rise. Well, let's rise together. What floor are you ready to push? Is vision one of your floors you want to push? So is your vision clear? Or is it just wishful thinking? So tonight's show, that's what it's about. So are you really clear on your vision? Do you even know what your real vision is? Are you building your future with intention or letting your life build it for you?
Do you actually know how to create a vision board that comes to life? In this episode of Emotional Elevator, I will dive into the difference between helping for change and aligning with it. Vision isn't about cutting out pretty pictures, it's about clarity, embodiment, becoming the version of you who naturally lives what you desire. A vision board works when you believe you're worthy of what is on it. If your words carry power, your vision gives them direction. The real question is, are you daily choices pointing toward the life you say you want? My vision obviously is stumbling over words tonight. So this is what tonight's show is all about. And I think everyone out there, at some point, whether you were in grade school, because I know in grade school, we kind of did a vision board, you know, what you want to be when
you grow up and you drew these beautiful pictures and you said all these wonderful things. But then as you got older, maybe you did vision boards before, maybe even in college, you know, what is your vision for the future? And of course, we all had these visions, but how much was it was truly ours? How much was it once that we wanted to identify with that weren't ours at all? Or have you ever gone to a vision board class where there's all these great magazines, everyone's cutting out pictures and everyone's looking at everyone's and then you realize you're putting on things on your vision board that you really don't want. Or you put things on vision board that might have been passed down. And I really step into this very big now because it's the vision boards in order for them to come true. It has to be number one, your vision, what you want for yourself.
And you have to really believe it. You've got to spend time with it. It's almost like you've got a, I'm going to use this word. So bear with me, you've got to kind of like make love to your vision board. Like you're really going to have that passion. You've really got to like feel it, let those bubbles like, like you're dating it. That's what a vision board should be. It should be something that maybe it's a stretch for you. But if you look at it and it gives you those butterfly feelings and you really can imagine yourself with that vision, then yes. And you don't give up because I know, gosh, I can't even tell you how many years ago, was like almost every year this woman's group get together and everyone would do their vision board for that year. Well, we've been on the vision set and never came through the year before. When you just start building onto it and building onto it or how I should say ignoring it and then just building a new one and not letting those come forward, are you really
aligning with what you want or are you just going along with it or are you just going along with the motion? Because I feel with vision boards, we shouldn't just every year, it's new year, so I'm going to do a new vision board. Whatever you really desire, you need to bring it forward because your vision is not something one and done. It's not just a moment there. But another part of that vision board, in order to feel it and like I say, have that like dating bubbles or a new job feeling or kind of like I said, making them off to it, you've got to do steps to it. You can just put it on a vision board. I want a new job, but you don't know, you know, you might put it on there because you aren't satisfied with the job you have. But you've got to really sit with that and marinate it and ask yourself, what do I want in a new job? Maybe write out the resume for your perfect job.
See that's what a lot of what I work with my clients with. When they come to me and say, I, you know, one of my goals is I want blah, blah, blah, blah. Okay. What steps are you taking to get blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, whatever it is? If someone says, you know what, I'm really interested in getting a new car. Well, clean car, what color car? Make that part of, oh, I want blue Honda Civic. I wanted to have like fast looking, you know, envision it, but then you also got to kind of shop for it. And when you start doing that, that's how your visions become alive. You know, or if you say, yeah, it's just my vision, but I know I'm never going to have it. Well, you're right because you're not aligning with it. It's all about getting your body and your nervous system and everything. I know I talk a lot about that, this nervous system, but getting, getting those nice, warm feeling about, I'm going to have me a new car because you're envisioning it.
Go shopping for it. Find out exactly what you want in it. Become very clear with it, but also you've got to feel it. You've got to believe it. Because nothing's worse than putting, and I'm going to just use a Honda. I don't drive a Honda. So I'm not saying something about Honda. Everyone on here should probably know because I've talked about a lot about what I do drive. But if I put a Honda on mine, and that's not what I want, then yeah, it's not going to come true. But if I go and I'm like, I want a Honda, I want this, I want that. And if I sit and go, they're too expensive. You're making judgments on your vision. So your vision isn't going to come true. And it's the same thing when, like I say, when people come to me and they want a new job, or I'm not satisfied in my current role at work, well, what kind of role would you like?
Can you define that? Now let's talk about it. Let's feel it. What did feel like if you got that? Oh, well, it would empower me. It would this and with that. OK. And if it's just about money, here's a flip side. If it's a job, oh, I just really want a raise. Well, what are you doing to get that raise? Well, you know, I can't go to my boss about it because you know, I'm the highest paid person. You're not believing it for yourself because that's the whole part of these vision boards. And like I said, your words manifest last week. Your vision, you can manifest it. I have clients who today can tell you we have gone through and worked on and I told them to envision it. They now they have like a vision in front of them. And then I every week, there's like something. So what did you do to work towards revision this week?
You've gone through common goals, but it's a vision because in order to have a goal that you set for yourself, you've got to envision what it would look like. If you want a healthy body, do you envision what it would look like? And what steps do you take? Do you create a girl within yourself fear that you'll never accomplish it? Or I'm never going to achieve that. Then you're already taking that vision and basically just chucking it out the window. A vision has got to be something you believe wholeheartedly can. It's got to be something you can embrace. You can just nurture it like a little baby. If you're a parent out there, a mom, a grand mom, maybe even a sibling and you've held a little baby and you're just like, it's cute.
Is that the other two envision how they're going to grow up? No, but in the moment, you're like, oh, it's not great. And then they draw or something. Maybe it's a puppy. And you get this cute, lovely puppy with these big paws that fall over the house. But they got these big paws and then they grow up to be this gigantic dog. You know, I didn't imagine that. Mom, I think you could have, because when you saw it tripping over its paws, you thought it was so cute. But that's what I mean about a vision. If you just do that, like you would with a baby or with a puppy and then it comes forward and it's big or not what you imagined, that's kind of what we do with our own visions. Think about that. A vision that I'm going to have a new job. Well, someone comes along and asks you about it. Well, I don't know. I'm just not satisfied at my job right now.
Well, it's not going to come in. It's not going to find you if it doesn't know that you're looking and what you're looking for. It's something that even one of my clients who, yes, was in my book, The Emotional Theater. We talked all about her, just, I'm going to be alone for the rest of my life. What makes you think that? Have you envisioned this person? Have you written like a resume for the person you want to attract? And I can tell you, when she trusted, the biggest word she came out of that was, I trust myself to make this decision. I trust myself that this person is going to come through and to start a feeling it and just start imagining it and she started creating almost like that kind of, I couldn't know, it was thing to Barbie, but Ken and then someone came forward because she imagined
it. She got the butterfly feelings and then when they came forward, she was able to see. That's why I feel these vision boards have to be felt and aligned, you know, dance with it, shake with it, whatever you have to do to get your nervous system to believe in it because that is the biggest part of it is believing, believing so you can achieve it. I always say that to people, believe it and achieve it because if you doubt it, you need to come up with a rhyme without it, but believe to achieve and always said that even as a manager is you want to believe to achieve because so many people come out of, let's say you did dream of a new job and you wrote it up and one comes forward and you go to the interview and you walk out and you're just, see I told you I'm not going to get a new job.
It's a test too, our universe loves to test us, to see, is this really our vision and that's the big thing too, whenever we have something on our board, our vision board and then it doesn't come through the way we wanted to, do we give up or do we give it more excitement or align with it more? There are so many things with my clients that we have talked about as a goal, let's envision it, maybe do just a vision around it, not all these visions, but if that's what you really want out of these five goals, let's make it into your vision. And I explain to them, sleep with it, live with it and if it changes, change it and let it evolve because if you say I want, I'm thinking this is weird that I'm saying this,
but I want a new job, okay, let's explore this and then we get deep down and you explore it, well let's say you, you're listening to me and you're like, oh, she's talking to me, like I have this vision, you've got to get in and you've got to nourish it and just sleep on it and everything and then it comes forward and you start like, I even write it down to align with the vision and then if something changes, if you're walking around and you go, oh, I also want this, you don't necessarily have to change that vision you have sitting there, you just got to amplify it or speak to it. And if you do have a vision or if you have a vision of something you truly want, you speak to it in the present tense. I want a new job, does that sound like it's present tense, does it?
That's my question. I want a new job, that's not present tense, that's basically saying I want a new job, it could be tomorrow, it could be the next day, it could be five years from now. I am going to get the job that aligns with me and you don't have to write then define it, but you're saying it already and then you start defining it. I'm going to buy a new car, I am going to buy a new car, I'm going to buy a new car and you just start imagining and even if you have to stay within or feel you have to stay within parameters, well, I'm going to buy a new car, but I can't, I'm not going to go out and buy a Lamborghini, but I'm going to buy a new car and you define your parameters. I mean, you can sit there and say, I'm going to win a Lamborghini, I'm going to tell you
right now, if you do win that Lamborghini, please make sure you have the money, it's back up that Lamborghini because there's nothing worse than maybe winning something and having to just let it go. It's the same thing as if job is it and you align with it and you're like, ah, that's it. You go in, they say, here's the job, don't let it squish you, squash you because you've got to be aligned with it and that means money, that means how you want it to be, benefits, everything like that, but anyway, I could just keep talking, talking, talking, but what I do want you to do while we're on break because it is time for that break is ask yourself what is it that you want right now that you can have a vision for and again, if you're enjoying the show because we're going to that break, you're listening to a emotional

Well, welcome back. Like I said, before we went to that break, if you are listening or watching me, go to Apple
iTunes and search EmotionalElevator and give me a five-star review or any review because it will help get the word out because I know other people out there truly align with vision and creating the perfect vision board or what their vision really is. In the first part of the show, I started talking about, well, first I asked you a question before we went about, are you aligned with your vision or what is your vision you have for yourself? Are you truly aligned with it? But a lot of the things I said was your vision board to come through has to be your vision. Your vision is not one and done. It grows. It evolves as you do. It's about getting your nervous system aligned with your vision. Are you making judgments on your vision? When I mean by making judgments, by saying that, that's never going to happen. Why am I putting that on vision board?
That's making a judgment. That's basically throwing in your own self-doubt on it because visions do come true if you align with them and if they truly are your vision. I can definitely talk on that and I can talk on it with all my clients because one of the things, as I even talked about, the first part of the show is when we set goals and they set a goal and they're like, that's the first goal. I asked them, can you, excuse me, can you close your eyes? Can you see how you will be when that happens? Can you feel it? Tell me what it feels like. Tell me what it looks like. Tell me what it sounds like and when they say, gosh, it sounds like freedom and, you know, as I said, you've got to kind of make love to your vision too. If you truly want something, you've got to have those butterfly feelings. I keep saying bubbles in the stomach, but those butterflies, like you're dating it, like
you're courting your vision, you know. Think about the first time you went out with someone that you're going to be the one. They're the one. And you're, you know, making sure everything's perfect, you know, everything's not perfect, but you just do everything in the right way. Do the same thing with your vision. If it's your vision, that the biggest thing that I love working with my clients and when they have a goal and I, you know, I ask them, what does it look like? What does it feel like? If it's something, as I brought up earlier, a new job. Well, what steps are you going to take and just keep going in on that? What steps can you take to achieve that? Oh, I can do this. And sometimes when they ask me for suggestions, or I give suggestions, but it's got to be your vision. Well, you know, I really want a new job because like, I really need to make more money, is it the job you want or is it money?
And why do you feel the need to make more money? See, that's pretty judgment and that's not really aligning your vision. You need to really align with it. And it needs to be your vision. And one of the things I said in the first part of the show is you don't want to say I want. I am aligning myself for a new adventure in my life. I'm aligning myself with a new job that aligns with my values, with my principles, with who I am as a person. That sounds so much better. I am aligning with it. I am creating the perfect job for me. The perfect job for me that aligns with me is here. When you're putting it already into existence, just going to let it come to you or go find it. And like I also said, a lot of people put on their vision boards things that really aren't
theirs. You would never see my vision board with an expensive over-the-top car because that's not me. Now I can fess up now and tell you, winning a Bronco was on my vision board. And as most of you know, unless this is your first time with me, I did win a Bronco. It really wasn't the one I wanted, but I still did it. And I aligned with it, and I felt it. And when I did, a couple of different raffles, but the one that aligned with me, it happened. So anything is possible. Book has been on my vision board. I published a book. It's been almost two weeks. Wow. I'm a published author. That's still hard to say. But that's what I'm saying. Like there's things on my board, on my vision board, that align.
Four years ago, I said I wanted to make people laugh. I didn't know how, but I wanted to make people laugh. I've done a little bit of comedy before, but I was like, I want something that gets people laughing and lines them and, ta-da-da, I want my laughter yoga leader. Now I want to play with Legos. I go in corporate wellness and I facilitate Legos, where it's a coaching by using Legos. I want people to tap in, and that's another thing with me and Legos. I've gotten people to see and feel their vision by building it with Legos. And maybe that's something you can do at home. If you've got some Legos or anything or go get something and just draw it, you know, draw it. You know, you can, hey, I can whip it up for you, but Legos, I've done that many of times, had visions of Legos.
But what do I really need in this moment? What do I really want right now in my life? And then I'll come through and I'm building something I'm like, wow. And I have it and I can see it and I can line with it and I can look at it and I can envision it. So that's why this is important when it comes to your vision, but for, but now let me tell you a little bit about me because I've just gone on about vision because I feel it's so important for us to align with our visions and have our visions and be clear with it. And I don't mean your family visions. I don't mean society visions, your visions, if it means going off the grid and living out in the wilderness and that's your vision, you can make it happen. So that's why I wouldn't talk about visions, but who am I? I am Sandy Bird, that's Sandy, S-A-N-D-E-E-B-Y-R-D. I am a transformational empowerment coach.
I work one on one with individuals, but I also do corporate wellness facilitating where I go into businesses or corporations that are having maybe a little bit of resistance, struggles. I use laughter yoga and Legos and my three P's to kind of get them to see their vision if it's renaming their values or just figuring out why their stuck is maybe having Legos in there. Well, I use Legos, but I'm also now a published author. I published my first book, Emotional Elevator, From Silence and Setbacks, From Silence and Setbacks to Resilience and Freedom, and all of this had been my visions, and they come true. Why? Because I believe it. I aligned with it. It became part of me. I quoted it.
I dated it. I slept with it. I marinated it. I did all the things so that it would happen. And I can say, I want a Bronco. And I can tell you that some of my clients that I've worked with have achieved so much more, because once they set a goal, I asked them to do a vision around it and to embody it. So whatever your vision is, this is my question to you. What do you do to make it come true? Do you embody it? Do you close your eyes, breathe into it, envision it? What does it look like? What does it smell like? What does it sound like? Sometimes. What would it taste like? So that's what I'm challenging you with, is if you have a vision out there, I challenge you. How are you going to make your vision come true?
And like I always say, reach out to me for a connection call. You're always free, and I can just do a vision class with you. So thank you for joining me tonight, and I will see you next week. I'm Sandy Golding. Thank you for listening to the emotional elevator show. Sandy returned Wednesdays at 7pm Eastern, 6pm Central, 5pm Mountain, 4pm Pacific on InspiredChoicesNetwork.com. Until then, start elevating your emotions and stop writing the emotional elevator that is stopping you from living the life you deserve.
