Iranian Frigate Sunk in Submarine Attack, 101 Missing

The ship carried about 180 crew members with 101 still missing and 78 wounded. This happened around 25 miles south of the island in the Indian Ocean. Sri Lanka's Navy quickly launched a rescue operation after the distress call came in at dawn. They sent two vessels in an aircraft, evacuating 32 sailors to a hospital in Gaul about 70 miles south of the capital Colombo. Officials say they're continuing the search, but hold little hope for more survivors. In Parliament, Sri Lanka's foreign minister confirmed the injured were getting care while an opposition member raised questions about possible links. To recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, local police boosted security around the hospital as the wounded arrived. A military source revealed the submarine strike, but didn't identify who launched it. This incident follows the U.S. military's Operation Epic Fury, where they recently hit Iran's largest warship, the Shahi Baghari, and sank 11 other.
