Iran Executes Protesters, Fears Mount for More

0:00On April 6th, Iran just executed two men arrested during anti-regime protests back in January, a 19-year-old named Muhammad Dhamman Baiglari in A. 30-year-old named Shaheen-Vahid-Paris-Khalur. This happened at dawn on Sunday at Gezel-Hazar Prison. They were convicted of enmity against God by a judge known for death sentences. These guys were among at least 25 men facing the same risk from those protests, and more than half a dozen others got hanged just last week. Families weren't even allowed final visits or goodbyes before the executions. Human rights groups are sounding the alarm, saying this is a deliberate move to scare people and stop more protests. The director of Iran Human Rights warned that without outside pressure, many more hangings are coming, especially for political prisoners and detained protesters. The men were picked up on January 8th accused of arson at a paramilitary base and confessed after weeks in prison amid torture reports. Trolls were slammed as unfair, with no real defense allowed.
