Introducing: Jesus and... Everything

0:00Hello, and welcome to the Shifting Culture Podcast. I'm your host Joshua Johnson. Guess what? We have some special news, some exciting news. We're starting a Shifting Culture Podcast network where shows will be expanding. We will have multiple shows on this network all in pursuit of the good, the true, and the beautiful. We believe that we need to see these things, the transcendentals, so that we can see what God is up to in the world. And that we can then embody truth and goodness and beauty and then be able to embody the ways of Jesus in this world. We live in chaotic times, but we don't live in unprecedented times. We live in times where we need wisdom and deep thoughts. And so we have three new podcasts that are launching in September. They will all have their own feed and they won't be bogging up this feed right here on Shifting Culture.

1:00Which I know I already put out two episodes a week, so it is a lot and it's hard to keep up with. So I'm not going to do that to you, but we will have people and shows on their own feed and you get to follow them. And I'm excited to introduce you to Jesus and everything. This is the first new show on the Shifting Culture Podcast network. It is hosted by Pete Portal, who we've had on the podcast before. He lives in South Africa and does an incredible work with people in and underserved community. There he works with, you know, former gang members, drug addicts has a has a house in a ministry down there that really helps in rehabilitation and bringing hope and belonging and community into that. Community that he lives in and he's going to be doing a podcast where he interviews people about big ideas.

2:01What's going on in the world and helping people learn to live in the tension of the world with faithfulness to Jesus. But also smart about how the world works and what is happening going on. He has a few guests will have season season one will include people like Jonathan Helster, whose episode is out today. Anywhere you get your podcasts Danielle Strickland will be there. We have people like Zach Miracrabes and Lauren Windle. It's going to be a great, great season. So go follow Jesus and everything wherever you get your podcasts. You click on the link in the show notes and it'll take you directly to the feed where you can start to follow and listen to Pete. It's a great podcast. I'm excited to get this out there for you. But also have real life in the real world can challenge our own perspectives that we may have held without much thought. There will be no easy answers here, just some honest wrestling.
