About this episode
In this episode we're speaking to the Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese.
This interview has been broken down into two parts. Hannah first discusses policy platforms, election campaigns and what the makeup of the Australian parliament could be over the next three years. Next, Sarah asks for his take on the new vs legacy media debate as well as the gender and cultural divides we're feeling right now.
This interview took place in parliament house, so you’ll hear the ringing of bells occur twice in this interview. That signals a politician has four minutes to vote. When the bells ring the first time, the PM needs to leave the interview immediately - and our time with him is cut down. You’ll notice at this point that we switch interviewers, from Hannah to Sarah, in order to maximise both of our question time. Unfortunately this does mean we lost the opportunity to ask several questions we had prepared to ask the Prime Minister.
