Gather round spectacular. Oh, yeah, footy class fire. Of course, Eddie leading the way there's going to be sensational for night heading down the Fleur open, then she'll actually into McLean Barl to the cube at Darren Bergwinery should be absolutely sensational. But part of the show and there's a lot happening, let me tell you, is Dermy, our own Dermat Broward and drove all the way from Melbourne. Had a little stop off in road, but just about to find out whether he got out of there. But Dermy, did you get out of road? I did get out of road boys. I got out with my skin on. Yeah, so they were actually lovely places, isn't it? Isn't it? It's a beautiful town. And no, that's a, you travel a lot in this paper and you, you end up saying, you said, well, they're like this town, don't like it or it goes straight to, oh, in another time I could live here. Yeah, it's beautiful. It's, it's got the last category. It's a beautiful looking place. What was the drive like doing? It's the first time I've ever done it in full myself. So, yeah, it was interesting.

There's a, I love the look of the crew wrong along there, but after you've seen 50 Ks of it, you think, all right, I'm ready for something else now. It keeps going. You should try the nullable. Yeah, well, I have done the nullable. I've done the nullable. Yeah, I'm not much out there there. No, that's insane. Did you get a few cards? That's most important thing. Yes, yes, yes, down nine came to the party with the fuel, which is good. Otherwise, otherwise, the fuel is costing more than my monthly repayments on the house. I make the gatherance back to be your first, of course, after joining the team this year, but you've been to four gather answers to be your fourth one. If we were to go and get another deal done, would you give it as a hand if so? How long would you give it to us for? Oh, look, I think it's a South Australia, have done a great job with it. It's not as if no one else wants it. It will be eagerly contested.

So if you're looking at it through that lens, everybody else is saying, right, Adelaide has sent the benchmark. This is what we have to be better than. So you assume that other bids are going to come in and they're going to be pretty good. So yeah, as long as Adelaide had a few more tricks to it, and I think it's a wonderful place to actually have the gather around. So I think they're a message shot to keep hold of it. They just keep needing to add a little bits to it here and there. Yeah, Melon asks, and his government, the South Australian government, have done a fantastic job. Well, the Adelaide Hills has been a winner, Barossa. We're wanting to get to the McLaren Valley. I think that's why he's taking the whole team down there. There's you here. He Rory Sloan, Tony Modra, you know, the list goes on and on and on. You'll love that region, Jimmy. They, the deer in big has a really nice red called the dead arm. The U.S. Are you a surez, man? I used to be a cab, a sad man, but as I get older and weaker in every aspect

of physical nature and structure, I've dropped back to a pin on my man. Oh, me. Goodness gracious. Hey, let's talk. What footy did you stand in at the road? Pubbermots that Horthorn's a long game? Wow, you're not going to believe this, but you will believe it. Because you know, when I did it, I was on the road. I saw the last two minutes, which basically, which was basically everything's even that I played for two hours or one hour and 58 minutes for no reason. And then the last two minutes was the game. What is it? Unbelievable finish. Well, it's listening in the car on the way. It felt the nature of our callers. It felt like Jolong had the answers on most occasions. And I guess they have a goes another three minutes. Jolong probably kick another goal goes another five minutes. Horthorn kick another goal. They were two very well matched teams on the day.

Are they the real deal, Horthorn? They top four in your eyes. Top four, you know, I think you've probably got six or seven. In the top eight right now, that'll be it only Brisbane to come in. So they're going to jostle all throughout the year. I like the fact that Horthorn were able to win without a massive input from Jion Eukam, which shows that some of the younger lads going through the middle, picked up the can and carried it for them. Are they the real deal? I think everybody's still. If you if you play around Robin for the grand final next weekend, I think Brisbane probably win it when everybody's playing at their best, but it's not next weekend and a lot can happen in the next 20 odd weeks. What about our more crowsley, carton, Thursday kick it off? And then Port St. Kielder is the book end. Crowsdon't start. Well, carton start. Well, crows finish strong, carton, carton. That's almost written itself. It's almost written itself here.

Yeah, well, well, yeah, you're going to go for your multi again and back carton and then you're headed out. So I'd like to be a part of that. One thing you want to look for is the carton when they score. They are adverse to the rest of the competition. Most of the competition, if you want to go into the way the game's played and I'm not heavy into all this stuff, I look for emotion. I look for play of the player and I look at the way that they do use the ball. But if you want to go into a little bit more stat statistically driven, Carlton, while they're fresh in the first half, they score from stoppages. They they they are brewed at the stoppage. But after half time, if they can't keep winning the stoppages when they've been busted up for the first hour, buttoning their butts for the first hour, if they can't keep more stoppage goals after half time, they don't score from ball movement, transition out of the back half. They just don't move the ball that well. So if you can match them in the stoppage area, you'll beat them.

And that's not even from the word go, but they are brewed. You know, in the first half, they do really well. If it's a game of one hour, they're going to win the premiership. But unfortunately, Carlton, it's two hours. Yeah, so until they reduce it, that's what I have to do me. Gather around, spectacular for footy class fights, nine thirty to nine, channel nine and nine now, which is speaking with Dermott Broward and Dermy also and gather around and we had this come in. I think last year's gather around was we had the shame worn legacy heart check. Now you're a big ambassador for them. And I always knew warning war twenty three, but I didn't know it was in your honor. That's, that's a little fellow in the cap, mate. And he's a saint man. Yeah, he was a saint man, but he was a Dermy supporter when he was going. Yeah, no, Shane, he did, he did like the way I played. Well, if you look at the way Shawnee went about it, sorry, when he went about it, you could see there was some characteristic track that he might have just adopted along the way. Yes, he must do his own piece.

He, um, he perhaps made his hair a little blonder than what it might have been by himself. Um, yeah. And he, um, he wasn't short on an opinion or a confident. So, um, I beg you, before he played a test game, Brendan McCartle, for those of you who remember state cricket, Bushy McCartle, he was a Victorian all-rounder. He came up to me once and he said, uh, this is, this is not a feather in my cap. This is how bad I got it. I am a judge in some people. Bushy came up to me once in a pub and said, I want you to make this kid your is idle. I reckon he's going to be the next leg spinner for Australia. And first thing I said was Australia don't pick leg spinners. We had Terry, Jenna, 25 years ago. We don't pick leg spinners, only off spinners. And this podgy, uh, mullet has, it's headed, uh, uh, fella, we can, yeah, 10 kilos overweight with a ciggy in one hand and a schooner in the other. And you can see bits of his, his, his face, where he shaved and he missed a

little bit of whistle here and there. And, uh, Bushy said to me, this is Shane, Shane Durmit. Born, he's going to be, Shane's going to be the next, um, test legs bit. I went, oh, good on you, mate. Well done. Anyway, we chatted. He was, he was really, really engaging. And then he walked off to get himself another drink after five, 10 minutes. I said, Bushy, the bike looks like he can't run around the corner. How's he going to run around a foot? He's been involved 30 hours a day. Mate, are you serious? Did he convolish it? Mate, he's a star. And I said, well, we'll wait to be seen. So I got that one wrong. We can fly there. He's got his name on the wrist and at the old bridge. Is it true you were stopped by a lady when morning was still playing? I've been told to ask you that. I moved into Williams Street in Turak. Warny lived in Williams Street, Turak as well. And we were always reasonably good mates. And I was going, I went down the street in Brighton and a lady walked up and she said, oh, my God, my God. And she said, pull that in front of you. Let's get a photo with you.

Can please get his, send this person here. Can you take my photo? And she chatted away and said, oh, you're magnificent. You're wonderful. Oh, my husband. He won't believe that I've seen you. This is fantastic. We love everything you do. You're such a good sportsman. And I'm going, yeah, yeah, yeah, brother. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. And she said, you are my husband's favorite all-time cricket ashamed. Classic as well. Right. So just to finish off though. And can I thank the Melanascist government for their input into the Shane War legacy health stations, the checks. There were 46 large and there's 52 around the precinct there and some at Norwood Oval and also for the Norwood, Norwood food and wine festival on Sunday. So look, it is tough times. And people don't want to spend 120 bucks to go and get a health check up.

These are free. Thanks to the South Australian government. So please make a veil of them, go along, do a health check. I mean, Shane, as much as he was a mega star, really cared about people. I did quite a bit with his former charity and the amount of people I saw within and he knew them all by name. He kept in touch with them. He wasn't just somebody who put his name through it and walked away. So that's my good deed. He knew them and he had repeat contact with them and he had their numbers. He didn't call them and he was a really caring person. And he would think that if he can just save one person, he would be so pleased. Yeah, well, you're living that legacy with him. Well done for being an ambassador with that, Dermy and have a good one tonight. Tuesday night 9 30 straight after Meredith first sight. A channel nine special footy show. Well done, Dermy. Good to see you in ten boys. See you in the lovely to chat to you. See you.
