Julie, we want to conduct an interview with you, okay? You're obviously aware of what happened. And we have some questions we'd like to ask you.

1:00I'm going to read you this consent form off of TBD Form 310-8209. It's a consent to be interviewed concerning offense of a homicide, okay? We want to talk to you a little bit about that. I'm going to go through this. I'm going to read it line by line sentence by sentence, ask you if you understand and take it from there, okay? This is a digital recorder, records everything we say so we don't misrepresent you in any way or make statements or against you that you didn't make. You understand what I'm saying? Yeah. Okay. You read and write and everything, okay? Obviously you're a staff sergeant in the army, you told me so you have to be pretty sharp. I think you shake a little bit. Why do you shake? I'm a girl of five. A girl of five? A girl of five? What is that? I don't know. What's it medicine for? I'm just suck of shaking.

2:01Oh, to help with the shaking? What kind of condition do you have? It causes the shaking. Oh, just that shaking. Are you on any other kind of medication? What else? What is it? Well, we're just still conducting a investigation if you're what happened, that's what we're talking to you this year to see if you can tell us what all happened right there. I know the reason we're here to talk to you, we want to find out what happened yesterday, what happened last night, what happened this morning from you to yourself. Yeah. My kids come in later. 11:12How was your day yesterday? I mean, did you pick the kids up from school or what happened? Oh, Monday Wednesday Friday is Monday. Okay. What do you mean by your day? It's a bit of a kid. 12:15Um, just tell us what happened yesterday. I think it was good. But the thing that I just toppled over the last straw, my daughter, my six-year-old, is just melty. Okay. And it's ridiculous. Okay. She calls me names. What kind of name she calls you? Stephen. And I forgot to get the mail yesterday. You forgot to get the mail? What happened? Um, she had a call out of mail. You daughtered it? Yeah. What kind of mail did she have? Do you remember?

13:17But it doesn't pay. Because I knew we were committing suicide. You knew you were coming to what? I didn't know. We were kind to suicide. Because she's been so bad, snoring and laughing. But I was trying not to say anything. Or I just cried. Do you know what the difference between suicide and homicide is? Suicide, you killed yourself. Homicide really killed someone else. Right. And what happened yesterday? Um, I don't know. Did you go pick the kids up yesterday afternoon? Yeah. Yeah, you brought them home to the house? Yeah, I'm going to have to turn around and go back. Okay. For my daughter's craft. Oh, to take her back to track?

14:18To take her home. Okay. And you got a daughter? Is it Kaelin or Kaelix? Kaelix. Kaelix. And you got a son? How old is your son? There's a son. And what's his name? Bo. Did Bo go with you to take her to the track? No. Did he stay at the house? Did he stay at the house? Yeah. Okay. I took Kaelix to her track at King High School. Okay. Was she being mouthy with you there? Yeah. She's always mouthy. Okay. And you said it was the last straw. It really pissed you off. Is that what happened? When I get out of here, I'm never going to come back and see you. Okay. She just changed the last two years.

15:20She really upset you? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Kids do that when they get older. Yeah. Break your heart sometimes. What happened? What happened when you got back to the house after track? What happened? I came out of the hunter. What was she doing? She was in a homework on the computer? Yeah. You came up behind her with what? It was a 38. Okay. And what happened? A shot in the back of the house. Because she was running in her mouth at you? Yeah. And the shot I think in the mouth. Okay. That's why I wanted to see you. Why did you want to shoot her in the mouth? Because it angers me so much. Her mouth angers you? Yeah. For what happened after that? How did she end up in her bed? Oh, I can't. You carried her over there? Yeah. Okay. You don't want to leave her up at the computer where she was after that happened?

16:20No. No. You took her and put her in the bed. Did you cover her? Yes. Okay. I have a son too. Okay. What happened with Bo? How did that all happen? He's covered what Helix does. Oh, so he's starting to act up and talk back to? He's up. Okay. That's it. Okay. And so I had her hand in the back of the head. He hit him or her? Well, so long. Where was he at when he... In the car? I started coming in the car. I was expecting to get him in the car. Okay. He started gunning. You made him get in the car with a gun? He didn't have the gun? No, no. You had the gun, but you told him to get in the car? No. He said that on his own. He wasn't me.

17:21No, no. I know. But did that happen to Helix before Bo? Or did that happen to Bo first? Bo first. Bo first? Bo was in the car with you? Yes. Okay. And Bo was smart enough to you? Yes. And then did you shoot Bo? Yes. With that 38? In the side of the head. Okay. And then I did his mouth too. Are you shot twice in the head? Yes. Because they're too stassy. Okay. So then after that happened with Bo, is that when you went in and did that with Helix? No. Helix didn't hear the shot? We were outside of the van. Okay. I was home. Okay. So I don't know who. Was Helix in the van when you shot Bo or no? No. She had already gone upstairs to do her homework?

18:21Yes. But I'm saying, did she come down and ask you what the noise was? No. No. You just walked up after that happened with Bo, you walked upstairs and she was on the computer and that's when that happened? Yes. Did you say anything to her before? I said, I love you. But I was so sad, you know. Right. And that's what your intention was to do after? Was to kill yourself? Yes. I've always wanted to kill myself. Yeah. Yeah. Julie, let me ask you something. Before we were coming in here, I'd ask you about, you said you were in the military. You were a staff sergeant, correct? That's it. That's right. What was your MOS? Interrogator. Interrogator? Okay. So were you CID or military intelligence? Military intelligence.

19:22Okay. So you dealt with the UCMJ violations? No. I was just a worker and I can't think. Take your time. And in the office, we served the effect, or I was in Russia, I was in England, and we had a telling of our story. Right. So you spoke to defectors? Yes. So with that, am I, you were doing intel work then? Yes. Okay. I didn't know I was going to get out, but... How many interrogations have you done? Oh, maybe a hundred. A hundred or over a hundred? Less than a hundred?

20:22Less. Less? Less. How many other than the MI school, MOS school, what other schools have you been to for interrogation? Susie, did you prefer? Strategic debris for? And you said that you were in Germany? Five years. Five years in Germany? That's why I met my husband. Let me ask you, what unit were you with over there? Do you remember? Come back. Come back. 21:23How long have you been out of the military? Ninety-three. Ninety-three? Four. Okay. So I didn't do that. And when did you, at what point did you start seeing a psychiatrist? Oh, forever. Forever. So when you were in the military, you were seeing? No. It really actually happened in the military. But I wasn't going to tell him. No, that's understandable. I'm not asking you that. I'm just trying to find out about what time you started seeing a psychiatrist probably afterwards. I'd imagine, right? I think so. Okay. What do you think about what happened? Oh, shit. That's all right. What do you think about what happened? I think I feel horrible.

22:25Right. I just feel horrible. But I'm going to think of an audience who told you a psychiatrist that? No, he said... He said what? You better make it on the first try. Make one on the first try. That's acceptable, sir. Your doctor told you that? Yeah. And was he talking about suicide or was he talking about suicide? Okay. Because I am talking about it. You kept talking about it? Yeah. What do you think you meant by you better make it on the first try? Because you're out. Out cold. Why do you want to commit suicide? It's all right. You can leave that out. I... I think I was never happy.

23:27Even when your kids were younger, you were never happy? Yeah. Forgive me. All right. I loved him when he was first. He was really sick. This is when they start getting smart, aren't they? No, they do. They... They were mean. Yeah. They were really mean. What kind of grades did they get in school? All A's and B's. All A's and B's? Yeah. I just looked there before. Do you have any kids? Yeah, I have four. You can check their grades. I'm lying. The headline... The headline is it called? Isn't that what it's called? Yeah. I don't know. From yesterday, when your daughter was at track, right? I just want to go back over this one more time.

24:28When you picked up your daughter, was your son in the car? No. No. I took... He took what? You see, Bill. No, I didn't hit you, you see, Bill. I took something strapped in. You strapped her in? Yeah. Okay. It was a seatbelt. When she came in the car? She didn't come in the car. I felt broke. You shot Bo in the car, but did you shoot him before you picked up your daughter? Do you remember if it was before you picked up your daughter? It was it after. After? So you came home and that's when you shot your son in the car. Then you shot your daughter afterwards, right? Okay.

25:29Now that's probably the detective's phone. How do you get in touch with your husband? Do you have a phone number form over there? No. How do you get in touch with him? Email. Email? Do you know where his email is? Are you going to tell him? No, we're not going to tell him. I'm sure he's going to find out, though. I imagine he would. It's a pretty hard thing to deal with. Well, you understand. I mean, if you put yourself in his position, you know what I mean? Of course, you're going to be upset. You know what I mean? Yeah. You got to look at it that way, too, right? I'm just going to be upset. Absolutely. Julie, let me ask you. What do you think should happen to you?

26:29I don't want to go to prison or jail. Why don't you want to go to a prisoner jail? Because it's a done deal. What's a done deal? Yeah. That's why I didn't do it. I just wanted to take care of them. Because I don't want to do it to myself. Why don't you want to do it to yourself? Maybe I'm upset. And bow on the way, too. On the way to what? Practice. Which practice? Soccer. He was going to soccer? Okay. Don't know what happened. What happened on the way? About halfway. I pull out the gun.

27:30I hate that I yell at him. What did he say? Get rid of that. Put it in your purse. Do something with that gun. If you believe the gun will... If you believe what? If you believe the gun you'll send you... Send you where? To heaven. To heaven? I think you got to... You got to what? You got to... I can't think. I don't know. Oh, it's always 30. It's a good boy. 28:30He hated shooting him. I hate him. Why is it better? Well, better than one. He said, but it's better. Yeah. It's better than... I don't know. Yeah, it's better than... How are you going to do that? Start the car. How would you make them sit there, though? They don't sit in the right house. Oh, so you need the car running while they're in the house? You just leave the garage door open for the carbon monoxide to come in? Is that what your plan was? I was going to leave the car. Right. And you were just going to let him run and let the carbon monoxide come into the house? Do you have the plan was? Yeah. But I didn't do it that way. That's my question. What made you decide to do it this way? First bow. Were you bringing it back from soccer practice and you pissed you off?

29:31Is that what happened? Yeah, it just snapped it. Right? I did. We went to soccer yesterday. No. I was about half way around. You turned around, came back? I didn't do that. Now, when exactly did you shoot bow? Were you in the garage already? Right. But were you in your garage or were you driving? I was driving. And he put that away or I'll hate you. So then you shot him? Yeah. Who would you shoot him first? Left side of the head. Do you remember which side? Left side. And then what? And then what? I didn't do anything. Do you have two cars? Three.

30:31Three. Now, when you picked up your daughter, where was your son? Do you remember? When you picked up your daughter, where was your son? I had to shoot bow first. Right. You shot him in the van? And you parked the van where? Inside. Parker's side. My husband's side. Inside the garage? Uh-huh. Okay. Now, after you did that, how did you pick up your daughter without her seeing your son? I didn't pick her up. I thought you said she was at... She was at... Yes, she was at Shrek. Two hours before that. Okay. So she was already home. She was home. That's right. But I shot him in the back side. Then you came home? Yeah.

31:31And you parked the van. And then what happened? Inside the garage. Right. And then what happened after that? He was sitting there. But he was baseball. Okay. And then you went upstairs and that's when you confronted Kaelix? She stares straight ahead. She didn't know you were there? But I shot her in the back of the head in the mouth. Right. When you shot her in the head, did she fall forward or anything? She fell sideways. She fell sideways. And then how did you shoot her in the mouth? What was she laying? She was in a chair. Still in a chair? Yeah. Still in a chair. I had to reach her out. Did you stick it right inside her mouth? No. I didn't do the inside. I didn't do it. No. Just from the outside shot? Yeah. Okay. I didn't know what she was going to hear it.

32:35But I guess they did. But they would have come right in. I want to show you a picture. Okay. And I want you to tell me if this is your daughter or not. Is that Kaelix? Yeah. Okay. I don't have a picture of Bo, but I just want to make sure we're talking about the same people and everything. There's no question. Okay. All right. How do you feel about this? This is the worst thing I've ever done in my life. She looks a lot like you. That's what people say. Do you remember when you were a girl? A little girl. Okay. Do you remember when you were her age? I got the same thing. I didn't even think about what this is. Because you knew it was going to happen, right? Yeah. Tell me about your husband. What rank is he? He said a full-bird girl. What's his first name? Parker. Parker. And his last name? Is his name his yours? Is it Shinnecker? Yeah. Okay. Do you know what his email address is?

34:36Yeah. No, I'm just wondering. The swad.armie. Afghan.swad.armie.mil. That's all right. Yeah. We got the gun secure, you know. Parker Shinnecker. He agreed. He's great. 36:36He's got a job waiting for him. Where? I like him. He has a civilian position doing the same thing. That's what a lot of them do, huh? Yeah. They do. Wow. Who? And what's his specialty? What does he do? I don't know. He's M.I. as well. Uh-oh. He wasn't your superior officer when you guys started dating. Was he? No. Now he said, smile on your face. I don't know. Because one time he was... He was assigned... Uh-oh. Was there anybody asked that? He was assigned your boss one time? Yeah. Frightenization all the way. Did you guys get in trouble? No. No. That's when you got out, right? You said the heck where I'm out? No. The army was giving big bonuses. Oh. When they were giving the bonuses for retirement, really?

37:36Yeah. Wow. So you get a retirement check, did? No. Not just at 20. But you got a settlement to get out there. You get a bonus, all right? How much was you buy out, do you remember? I didn't have a buy out. No? I got it out. And November or December? Uh... When did you guys get married? 91. 91? That was a little marriage. And then... Quiet one, kept it quiet? Um... P.O. And then... We had another one. Everybody came here. A big one? Yeah. There we go. Yeah. Now, how has your husband went to kids? How... Did he interact with them?

38:36Are they very respectful? Or are they just talking back to you? Yeah. They... They bully me. But they wouldn't bully him, though. No. No. No way, half over. No. He's a... Strength? Yeah. Julie, when did they start talking back to you like that? When did Caleb start being smart-ass and talking back and being disrespectful? When did that happen? When did that start? Um... It started a year ago. Okay, and what about Beau? Beau started imitating her? Yeah. She's a little... How is it? Copy, though. So... Okay. Beau went first. Caleb went second. I hope they're dead. You hope they're dead? I hope so. What do you think? They're dead. And what? Now what happened that you weren't able... You said that this was going to be a suicide for you. What happened that you weren't able to do it? I went outside just now. Okay. And I was able to do it. Okay. I didn't know that. Right. But they were still going and making noises. Really? They were still making... You could hear them making noises? Yeah. Yeah. Or they... They're just going though. They weren't calling out or anything. I don't know. I don't think so. You just heard noises though.

40:37What kind of noises? Good shot. No. What kind of noises were they making? Oh. Sweating. Getting cold. You're getting cold. See, you were running there touching them. Apologizing still. What were you apologizing for? My behavior. Tell me what behavior. Oh, but I know what I really wanted to know. You wrote it in a notebook? After everything was done. You did that? No. I don't know. Before? No. Okay. When was your last entry, do you remember? The last time you wrote something in your spiral notebook?

41:41About what time? Was it after or before you shot them? After you shot them? Do you remember what you wrote? No? I don't know. But I didn't want them to be embarrassed. I don't want them to be embarrassed. I don't want them to be embarrassed. I don't want them to be embarrassed. I don't want them to be embarrassed. She said you what? Lazy. Your mom said your daughters are you too lazy? Yeah. All right. Okay. Listen, this is what we do now. We've interviewed you. And we appreciate you being honest with us, okay? 42:42Do you have anything else you want to add? I mean, anything you can think of that we didn't ask you? You didn't ask me if I would put a jail in prison. We were talking about that. You said you didn't want to go to jail in prison. I asked you what you thought should happen. What do you think should happen to you? My husband, my husband doesn't react in a comfortable way. Like I was in bed for seven weeks. And he never was. He never wants to ask you how you're doing? Yeah. And if he told the kids he was doing it. Julie, what do you think should happen?

43:45Probably a police. Nobody. Pay to stay away from jail. Right. This is the end of this interview. The time is now 12, 21 hours. I'm going to take you stand out. Was it last night or yesterday afternoon? Last night? Remember about what time? About 10 o'clock. About what time? I know you said you drank some beer and then started drinking some wine. You remember what time it was that you stopped drinking the wine? One. Oh, on the one night? About what time you think that was roughly after 10. So about 10 o'clock or later? No, let me ask you something. When you were...

45:54When everything happened, then happened. With Beau and with Kaelix. Did you at any time... This is something that you had planned out like you were going to commit suicide after? Is that what you were going to do? It's basically what you told me. Was it something that you planned on killing yourself after, right? Yes. Yes. Okay. Did any time... And this is kind of a crazy question, but at any time did you hear any voices or anything? Or this is just something that you decided because of the way they were talking to you? Right? That yes? Yeah. Okay. So it wasn't any voices telling you to do this or do that? It wasn't anything like that. You weren't hearing voices at that time. No. You were just pissed off because they were talking back to you? Right. Okay. And you took him to soccer? Right. That's seven. Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God.

46:54Right. I'm so mad. Right. You shot him in. You took him to the soccer practice around seven. You got about halfway there. You told me. And you shot him. Yes. In the van? Yeah. Okay. And then he came back. And that's when that happened to Kaelix, right? And he walked up behind her shutter and then? Yeah. Okay. And both had been smart asses. You know, talking back recently, right? Yeah. And you were tired of it. Both of you just started when I said, let's go. And I told him, don't go on this path to kill. Right. Tell me. So you did this because you were pissed off and angry with the way they were talking to you? So you didn't hear voices? There wasn't anything to tell you. There was nothing else other than just you were tired of them talking to you this way. Yeah. Yeah. Just pissed you off. Disrespectful. Disrespect? Okay. You remember about what?

47:55What time did you eat dinner last night? You remember? It was about eight o'clock. About eight o'clock? Did you eat dinner after? That happened with both.
