On March 27th, a coroner's inquest has opened into the death of 21-year-old Michelle Chung, a Lancaster University student whose body was found. At Fortin's services on the M6 motorway, back on February 19th, Michelle was from Wales and in her second year studying Earth in Environmental Science, having started at the University in 2024. The university shared their sadness online, noting they learned of her passing that same Thursday and reached out to her closest friends and family, with support. She was part of Lonsdale College and enjoyed the Pokemon and Dr. Who's Societies. At Preston Corners Court, Area Corner, Emma Mathur, confirmed the identification was made by Detective Inspector Mark Green using Michelle's, University ID card, and the inquest was adjourned. The full hearing is set for June 25th, under Area Corner Kate Bissett, as her loved ones await more answers about this tragic loss.
