It's April 1st. Welcome in. This is Vancouver News today, where local news meets AI. I'm Corey with the story. Ice-napped one of Canada's top 25 most wanted fugitives right here in the states. 30-year-old Adrian Vincent Walker got picked up in Tableau, Mississippi on March 23rd, as part of Operation Take Back America by the Homeland Security Task Force. He's facing murder and attempted murder charges of North, plus U.S. counts for illegal entry and possessing a firearm. Here this week, the Department of Homeland Security dropped the news, highlighting how their agents tracked him down without knowing exactly when. He crossed the border. Walker will soon head back to Toronto to answer for those serious crimes. Toronto cops have been chasing him since a shooting in May of 2024 near Winona Drive and Von Road that left 31-year-old. Trevor Dalton-John, dead. Another guy from the city already got charged in that killing, and Walker himself did over three years inside for aggravated assault before.

DHS praised their ice team for getting this dangerous dude off the streets, stressing the teamwork that keeps communities safe from cross-border. Threats. This ain't the first time back in 2019. Ice grabbed another Canadian fugitive with a rap sheet and shipped him to Montreal. Operations like these show the fed staying on top of fugitives slipping through, making sure justice crosses borders too.
