Hypnotherapist Wins Harrods Dispute, Gets Refund

She bought a Cartier Love bracelet online last year for 4,500 pounds, but it turned out too small for her wrist. After saving up for years to treat herself, she tried to return it for a refund. Herod's rejected the return, claiming the gold bracelet had scratches and damage when it arrived back at the store. They even sent her a pre-inspection video pointing out marks on the soft metal and said they would hold it in lost property unless she reclaimed it. Soon, remained out of the video showed her actual bracelet, noting differences like thickness and no clear serial number match. She took the case to Small Claims Court in London, arguing her rights under consumer protection rules for online purchases. The judge ruled that herits failed to prove on the balance of probabilities that the bracelet arrived damaged. There was no solid evidence it had been handled safely, or that the scratches reduced its value enough to deny the refund. Remain received 5,131 pounds, covering the bracelet, court fees, and interest.
